  1. That's how you reassert yourself as a contender. Bravo, ladies.
  2. Seems like the old "roll the ball out there and let your talent go to work." Which is OK...until facing an elite team with at least as much talent and better adjustments.
  3. With review now allowed, and with each team trying so hard to catch the other leaving early, it makes no sense to keep risking it. If it's a pivotal play the opponent will challenge, and the video won't be your ally. I can't think of many mental errors easier or more important to correct.
  4. You see why it takes near perfection to beat OU. The bottom of their order flattened two balls in the 7th, when they simply had to generate some offense against our most dependable recent pitcher. One ball was caught on a great play, the other went to the wall. We're incredibly lucky that baserunning gaffe didn't cost us the game.
  5. Gutierrez has been tremendous of late. What a bounceback since UH.
  6. The pinnacle of buffoonery. Let's win in spite of ourselves.
  7. Smart enough to get into UT. Not smart enough to know the rule. Ridiculous.
  8. Those two Ks were killers. Just have to put pressure on OU when you can. Not sure I've ever had less faith in a .400-plus hitter than I do in Mitchell right now. Down and in to her is like going down and away to Jeremy Pena. Auto whiff.
  9. All things considered a decent top of the first. I mean, they scored a run and hit two balls farther than we have since maybe sometime in March, but it could have been way worse.
  10. All my grandkids went to Thompson. Amazing how that program has become a total football factory.
  11. To reinforce how weirdly things have fallen apart, Maloney has gone from our weakest bat to the only one who can get on base. End times are here.
  12. Horrifying thought, but getting-ruled one game this weekend is hardly out of the question. Let's go.
  13. Facing real pitchers lately has accentuated our flaws. They don't serve up the meat we feasted on earlier.
  14. We won't be truly elite until we have a true ace on the mound. Kavan probably becomes one, but we need more big arms. Of course, it won't matter if we can't hit.
  15. There's opportunity to play for us next year if you have ability and at least act like you're trying. Guess the second part of that was just too elusive. Johnson and Morris are the swap that proves a fresh start isn't always enough.
  16. If this is going to be filmed within the next two years, the actress needs to start hitting meth asap.
  17. How many pool tables had to die to make tonight's suit? Hideous.
  18. 81-0 road record is still doable. Show me a loss!
  19. How athletic are these incoming recruits? They obviously have skills, but seems we'll also need all the length, speed and hops we can get...both in the SEC and every March. Against the elite teams, raw athleticism is often the difference in making a critical play. Not to mention that being more explosive in the open court would take pressure off our set offense. We need more easy buckets.
