  1. Exactly. As happy as I've been to have Ewers be a Longhorn, the reality is that he's a well-compensated professional athlete charged with performing to a certain standard. To varying degrees, they all are. Play well or sit.
  2. Gives them more time to celebrate that 600th win for Elliott. Maybe that's what they've been doing all week.
  3. She looked pretty bad in every aspect of play.
  4. That was just an overall poor display of volleyball by a 2-time defending champ on its own court. A few players showed up, but there were way too many disjointed mistakes from start to finish.
  5. Nothing soft is falling for us. So maybe we try something else.
  6. Lednicky is destroying us at her leisure. Better clean up our service game and feed Skinner and Rutherford nonstop.
  7. Yes. And large stretches of the other ones
  8. Bad things seem to keep happening with 12 out there. Just a casual observation.
  9. I didn't see that match. And I'm glad.
  10. When have we played worse? At least Rutherford has showed up. Unfortunately, so has Lednicky.
  11. Whew. Overcame another first set fade. Now we roll.
  12. I wish he wore an Orioles cap all the time. Because that means my pipe dream of him going to Baltimore for Gunnar Henderson after the 2022 season would have come true.
  13. Preseason I said on some board (not this one) that I thought we'd lose 3 games. Didn't specify if that meant regular season or after the playoffs. I think that's a fairly likely final outcome, though I obviously hope we lose only a third of that number total. Vandy will tell us a lot about the team's mental state in making a big push to the finish line.
  14. Homecoming 1976. DKR's swan song. We lost to the Coogs...30-0. I wished I hadn't gone.
  15. I fear Quinn finds himself in that dreaded zone of being well enough to play but not well enough to play great. Now more than ever, he needs a clean pocket. Hard to give him that unless we run the ball well.
  16. The Pavia story is inspiring. Restores some of the joy CFB has lost along the way. That said, our D is going to light him up like a Roman candle. Texas wins 33-9, passing for 255 yards.
  17. I wanted to be laughably wrong...but had a suspicion I wouldn't be. Have lived in North Georgia far too long to discount the Bulldogs' talent or coaching.
  18. This could happen. That could happen. Let's see what actually DOES happen.
  19. UN Security Council is meeting on this matter as we type.
  20. I really wanted a dominant sweep. But after that first set got sideways, I just wanted a win. Salvaging what we could of the weekend.
  21. Good grief. Football team's mental fragility rubbing off? I'd turned off the online tracker at 16-8 and figured we won the first set going away. Guess now we'll see if we're really still champs or not.
