  1. If our roster is fatally flawed, why is that so? Because we counted on two HS studs who then bailed? It all still gets laid on the coach to overcome. I realize losing Carr, Allen and especially Rice off a team that came within minutes of a Final Four was tough, but good teams lose stars all the time and still figure out how to compete. Continuing to start a PG who couldn't dominate intramurals is going to cost us at least a season.
  2. Why so little run for Weaver tonight?
  3. Following online, it sounds like we're playing about like usual. That's disappointing but of course not a surprise.
  4. Seems more a case of him finally making up his mind after aimlessly drifting our way. Whether he continues to drift aimlessly, just in another direction, remains to be seen. If the guy really wants to stay home, and his family wants that, so be it...but still seems odd that he didn't do it from the start. Maybe just impressionable.
  5. He still have those tigers? LSU needs that man.
  6. To ease the numbers crunch, we should sign someone who can play both TE and LB. Mr. Niblackshire, come on down!
  7. Does this count the presumed 2024 Texas starters who started for Bama in the CFP?
  8. Why not? We're neither coaches nor players. We'll merely be observers of the glory to come and so can imagine it without repercussion.
  9. This whole portal thing is pretty cool. It's like the NFL draft...except you get to decide when it's your turn.
  10. In light of the above, I can't believe we didn't tamper with this guy. A natural: https://goducks.com/sports/football/roster/traeshon-holden/16115
  11. Majors can be a safety valve option for Quinn after the snap. As long as he reports in as eligible every play.
  12. We can win a title with you. Or...without you. This applies to most individual prospects who aren't elite QBs.
  13. If Nansen heads back to AZ, what about Akina? I'd assume he'd remain in Austin either way but maybe am just hoping.
  14. AZ is obviously scared of a gutted roster if they don't hire Nansen. I now expect them to offer him the job out of feeling painted into a corner. In short, it's a twist on the Rodney Terry situation we faced last spring. https://gophnx.com/activate-go-for-it-now-mode-hire-johnny-nansen/
  15. Having the band dot the "i" with a sabre-wielding Corps turd will be a special touch.
  16. If he and Trae Young were teammates, would each average 35 a night? Mad scoring skills.
  17. I don't get to see many SA games. So I was looking forward to this one against a clearly mortal opponent. We are by any definition putrid.
  18. Falcons blocking would be the first time in a long time.
  19. T-shirt Bama fans (living here in Georgia for the past 40 years, I know many) have turned uncharacteristically somber. Part of that of course is from the loss to Michigan, but it's more a realization of the future. Talk has gone from "Texas has no idea what a bloodbath they signed to for in the SEC" to "College football used to be fun." You love to see it.
  20. I live just about 50 miles from Saban's remaining place on Lake Burton. But in terms of property value and lifestyle, the distance is about 50 light-years.
  21. And I have the winning lottery numbers. They're $9.95.
