  1. Looks like he got processed out of the Oregon class and ended up signing with Texas Tech. He has one tackle in two years. So yeah, he hasn't done shit.
  2. She's coming home, y'all! My family was in the market for a lab puppy already. We have a 4 year old black lab named Rocco that we got through the Heart of Texas Lab Rescue (HIGHLY recommended, btw), and had already setup an appointment for early November to meet some black or yellow lab puppies with them. I clicked on the banner ad today and saw that a fellow poster who lived 15 minutes away had a yellow lab puppy that needed a home. That felt like a sign. We're in the market for a yellow lab puppy, and there's a poster down the street who needs to find a home for one. It's all coming together. We brought the family and Rocco down to meet this sweet girl and after a few short minutes of trepidation, she happily sought out and accepted pets from each of the four humans in the family. Brought Rocco out of the car to meet his soon-to-be new sister and they got along great. Rocco is typically a VERY enthusiastic play partner, so I was a little concerned about him being too high-energy for a somewhat skittish girl. But he calibrated his energy levels so well with her that it all just felt like a great fit. Thanks so much to @Felix and his lovely wife for taking this sweet girl in, caring for her, and finding her a new home. Which will be our home. She's gonna miss the acre of land to run around on and will have to adjust to our much smaller backyard. But she will be loved. She comes home tomorrow and I will update with pictures. Unless the wimmens in Felix's family decide they can't part with her, which would be understandable.
  3. Also, is this a conversation pit for ants? Looks like a set for a Wes Anderson stop-motion film featuring anthropomorphic squirrels, mice, moles and other small rodents.
  4. This was a wedding with A LOT of service industry people and Irish Catholics.
  5. I mean, I'd love for them to invent some reason to fire him for cause. I'm sure that will comfort the next coach and give him confidence that they won't try to weasel their way out of a contract if the team underperforms.
  6. If they do buy him out, I wonder who's on their shortlist and what is realistic. I'm sure Urban Meyer is who the fans will want. Would he go there? He's a total piece of shit, so he checks that box. But just like when we were looking for a coach, there doesn't seem to be an obvious candidate outside of UM.
  7. I disagree with the notion that we were unprepared, we were the less physical team, or that we didn't have the right mindset. I just think that OU is a LOT better than we thought they were. Impressed (and fucking frustrated) with how they've turned things around in one year. We lost a close one because of turnovers and a few mistakes. But we didn't get outplayed, didn't get pushed around, didn't make too many of stupid mistakes (the running into the punter and the picks come to mind). This loss doesn't feel as bad as many of the other losses to them. But it's tough to beat a team twice in one season, and I think we'll get another crack at them in a game that will matter more. Edit: Regarding mindset, the biggest issue is that they expect to win, and we hope we will win.
  8. And Rivals had Bryce Foster as the #15 overall player in the class. He's good at shot put, so he must be really good at football too. Another joke...
  9. He’s in Europe. Can’t get pussy in unstriped pants dude.
  10. Oh fuck. This guy can see the future and everyone else is idiot! Bro, you are so badass!
  11. Outside of diagnosing individual plays (1st series pick) or series (1st and goal from the 1) the reason we lost the game was because our pass rush sucked donkey dick and our LBs were terrible. Our inability to get home and get sacks on their stupid QB was maddening. It exemplifies why Colin Simmons is so essential to the 2024 class. And Jaylan Ford was fucking terrible yesterday. He’s usually amazing but he looked lost. He didn’t help the team yesterday.
  12. Exactly. Which is why the question "what buns do you use for cheesesteak" was asked. I think the talera rolls at Central market work pretty well. They're sturdy and Central Market bakes them in more of a hoagie shape rather than a circular bun shape.
  13. We had Rudy's at our wedding and it was great. Super easy and the out of towners loved it. But yeah, we had A LOT of leftover bbq. Wedding planners always suggest you order too much food and not enough booze. Our wedding planner said to plan on 2.5 drinks per person. My wife and I literally laughed out loud at that suggestion. Anyway, not a new opinion but Rudy's has it's place and catered weddings certainly falls right in their sweet spot.
  14. There are still scholarship limits. but you can manage your 85 however you want now. Take 50 players one year and 12 the next. Who gives a shit.
  15. I honestly don't understand why final class rankings don't weigh the overall balance of a class, and also minimize the weight of stacking certain position groups with 5-star players. Three 5-star receivers isn't as good as one 5-star WR, a 5-star OL, and a 5-star DL. And that kind of fuckery is why we had a reputation of doing so little with so much. All of the "so much" was loaded into DBs and WRs and no OL, DEs, or LBs.
  16. Oh see, I'm an idiot. I misread that. Stupid sip.
  17. The win in Bama was the very definition of a statement victory.
  18. You don't need to heat the sugar. Just put the sugar in water and agitate it until it's fully dissolved. It takes maybe 3 or 4 minutes for a half-cup of sugar and half-cup of water. Then I throw it in the fridge until I have to make more. Personally, I can't tell the difference between simple that has been warmed and simple that hasn't.
