  1. Tell me about the shrooms and how they compare to the ones that crow on cow flop...
  2. Williams, Jackson, Lockett, Ffrench, Phillips, Terry, Terry. Who is the 8th? Maybe he's counting Smith Orogbo because he's ranked 31 on On3? But they only had 25 players ranked at 5-stars this year...
  3. The common refrain I've seen on Tigerdroppings/SEC Rant/Twitter is "Kirby's unwilling to overpay". Unwilling? Or unable? Sorry you couldn't afford him.
  4. There's no excuse not to do something every year that you've never done before?
  5. Maybe because he's going to be a short drive away already? I don't think we can read too much into it.
  6. Shit's changed since the cotton bowl. He emerged as Quinn's #1 target when Bond went down. Led all WRs in receptions, yards, and led the team in TDs. I can't imagine the family could still be unhappy with his targets. And when you consider what's coming back, I'd expect that trend to continue. He's too good. That being said, he could probably sneak into the 5th round in this year's draft, maybe? Tough to say because I doubt his combine numbers will be elite. He is an excellent college WR that does all the things you want at the position.
  7. So what's the consensus on the in-state class? Seems like there aren't a ton of elite+ prospects as compared to the last few years. However, I do notice that early in the rankings cycle they tend to underrate prospects from Texas, and a lot of guys end up shooting up after the spring. Turntine obviously the #1 overall target. Seems like he's been Flood's #1 guy for two cycles, and that he's reciprocating. Interesting to see four RBs in the Texas top 10. Do we know who we're prioritizing? Is it Osborne? In 2026, there are four Texas kids in the top 32, 11 in the top 100, and 35 in the top 250 according to 247. In 2025 there were nine Texas kids in the top 32, 19 in the top 100, and 29 in the top 250. I took a look at the top 50 in state to see where the depth is: Very deep at RB. There are 6 RBs in the top 50. Last cycle there were 2. As has been the trend, the state is exceptionally top-heavy at WR. 14 of the top 50 are WRs, and four are ATHs, which will likely become WRs. Only 6 OL in the top 50 - 3 OTs and 3 IOL. No elite QB prospects. Only the kid from Del Valle committed to Arizona State, who is at 124 nationally. We've got our guy so it doesn't matter, but that seems strange there's not at least one kid out there that's highly regarded. One TE in the top 50, and he's ranked 49 in state and 373 nationally. On defense, there are 5 DLs in the top 50, but only Hola is a true DT prospect. We're gonna have to go out of state to get some guys, which means only signing 2 or 3 this cycle stresses the 26 cycle even more. Only 1 Edge and only 3LBs in the top 50. I'm very surprised at how thin the class is at CB and S. There's only one CB in the top 50, who comes in at 35 in Texas and 250 nationally. Only two safeties in the top 50, with the highest ranked guy at 31 in-state and 208 nationally. So neither are high four stars. I can't tell if WRs are being overvalued and artificially suppressing the rankings of non-WRs. Or is it a really thin class - particularly at positions where we need numbers - OL, DT and LB?
  8. Finley's in the top 100-150 in both on3 and 247, which are the two that I pay attention to. Seems he's legit.
  9. Is their plan to do live action remakes of all the old classic cartoons? Are they completely out of ideas?
  10. On the one hand, I commend you for using multi-quote and consolidating this into a single post. On the other hand, good luck with this post.
  11. Isn't Fasusi's signing ceremony starting now?
  12. I understand, but it still doesn't seem to make much sense. We have 9 in the top 100 (6 in the top 50) and 15 in the top 250. They have 7 in the top 100 (but all are in the top 50) and 14 in the the top 250. So I guess having three more top 100 commits puts us over the top. Whatever, I don't want to have to actually do math here. Just seems strange to me.
  13. I still don't understand how they calculate the rankings. According to 247, Georgia has more commits than Texas, one more 5-star than Texas, five more 4 stars, and somehow we're still ranked higher? I love the optics of it, but I don't understand how that math works.
  14. Holy shit. That's a fucking relief.
  15. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make in your first sentence. Position coaches don't recruit in a silo. They're supported by a staff. I can understand criticism of Baker the recruiter if we only land one DT, but it's a group effort. But why wouldn't Kenny Baker get credit for Broughton and Collins' play this year? I've still got some concerns with Baker as a recruiter, but the unit's performance this year has exceeded almost everyone's expectations, and he should get some credit for that.
  16. That's probably why he said "staff" and not Kenny Baker specifically.
  17. Factually incorrect as well. Edit - I guess he's going by 247's own ratings rather than the composite for either main site.
  18. It's a live stream with a public chat where the Fawcett post was being discussed. He had to acknowledge it. I seriously doubt M. Terry gives a shit.
  19. At this moment, Texas' class is ranked #1 on on3.
  20. This page is for recruiting speculation. Not nerd shit. Take that shit to the nerd shit thread, nerd.
