  1. I thought Barnes and Faraimo were more similar, big thumpers. And Pettijohn was the gazelle.
  2. This is correct. And the reason why OU would mudhole us in the early 2000s when we had better overall talent and especially offensive skill talent. Their Defense especially on the line was so dominant we were handcuffed. Well, greg davis supplied the handcuffs and Stoops and Co happily locked them.
  3. They are vastly different. When deep sea fishing we must recruit through the whistle. And while big game hunting we always hang around the rim.
  4. Who was the older player that punked him? He deserves to be commended for keeping the culture in order.
  5. Did Deshaun Foster write the penultimate paragraph?
  6. He prefaces it by saying “in all my years covering this stuff…” so he could be going back a while.
  7. On today’s coffee and football they were praising Jaylon Guilbeau and Gerry said he “carries a chip on his shoulder like all the golden triangle guys — save one.” This is at least the third time I’ve heard him go out of his way to say this. I’ve racked my brain, who’s the softee from the golden triangle?
  8. Who are your most used players? Mine: Rickey Henderson Kenny Lofton Matt Stairs Edwin Jackson/Dotel if I’m drawing a blank and need a hail mary. Always try to incorporate horns where I can. Street and JP Howell, come up often. Always a little surprised when Belt comes up as the most common giant/jay. 🤘
  9. It seems like Sharma was money whipped and with Moore we were in the ballpark but he liked other things they offered too. Besides our targets they are money whipping prospects across the country which makes them on another level.
  10. I heard that and I believe the question was phrased as the Texas One Fund having $20 million in the coffers or at least that’s how Bobby interpreted it and said “way more than that”. I think the person asking the question was referencing the annual football payroll, but didn’t phrase it that precisely.
  11. I’ve seen our annual payroll reported at $17-20 million. I would imagine that’s in the top 5. Those numbers don’t look too far off but I’m sure they’re growing for everyone.
  12. This has probably been covered, but why don’t the results page for certain categories drill down to the team? I always fuck up the 200 game winners because I haven’t been able to study my misses since playing. Even when I try to edit the stahead search filters per team i get “no results found”. TLDR; who the fook are the 200 game winners for the Pirates and Reds?
  13. Let me guess, you’re a regular contributor of bouncing tit gifs on a HS football commit thread.
  14. The problem is right now the 3 star project receives the same responses as a 5 star game breaker. Maybe the hotness of the reaction gifs can be correlated to the commit’s expected impact. Just spitballing here…
  15. It would be especially helpful for those that don’t follow recruiting 24/7. There are some cycles I follow less closely and it’d be nice to know where the player fell on our board or how big a deal the commit exactly is. It’d be nice for that information to be succinctly displayed on the commit thread, rather than spread across dozens of pages spanning months, but I get why it’s more of celebration than useful discussion.
