  1. We should have known the magic was gone when they ran out that disaster short before Coco. Pretty pretty bad.
  2. I'd like to see the voter preference for opioid users. If it is what I suspect, I'm feeling a little optimistic about the 2020 election again. -- Jonathan Swift, kinda.
  3. look at his wiki page lolastros. did not recall. nice roi.
  4. He's a college grad, oddly, which probably puts him in the top 1% of MLBers.
  5. On this day 1974 Gerald Ford was confirmed VP. the way history is told now is that the senate basically forced Gerald Ford on Nixon knowing that they were probably naming the next president so they picked someone that everyone was fine with. But Nixon didn’t resign until summer. I think that narrative cannot be correct. A prez cannot be a dead man walking that long.
  6. FL and AZ are nothing like VA demographics-wise. While DC metro gets younger and younger, those two states import the olds in ways that buoy the Rs there.
  7. I'm sure they were wrong just like everyone else was. But I'm not talking about their predictions. I'm talking about historic demographic evidence. Given that the olds preferred Trump in 2016 to the point of a squeaker of a win, and now the yoots actually vote, I can't see Trump's reelection. That's to say nothing of the ever decreasing white makeup of the electorate.
  8. That board is bad enough that I've decided I can't let my kids go there. I try to excuse it any way I can -- it is not representative, it is an echo chamber, you know good Aggies right now so don't use that as a baseline, whatever -- but none of my own arguments are very persuasive to me. There are just so damn many people on there that knowingly and intentionally are willing to lie and distort the truth. Either that or they just continue to ride the dark green line with no curiosity at all why anyone else that has demonstrated the ability to think has been jumping ship.
  9. get a grip. generational chatter is for amusement. identifying trends within millions of people and assuming it is true about an individual is not unethical. we do it all the time. it's unethical when it gets tied up to the historically oppressive version of that. and its not anything like astrology based on the arbitrariness of the dividing lines. people born in a certain period have similar social influences that will differ from those born in other periods. that affects behavior. that is not true of zodiac. nor do people draw the strict lines between generations and say people born 15 years apart are more similar than those born 2 years apart. have you ever interacted with other humans before? your mensa philosopher shtick is obnoxious as fuck. hey, little timmy, i got you this baseball glove for christmas! oh shit, i just picked up a righthanded one based on overarching trends! how embarrassing of an ethical faux pas!
  10. Booker - 8 Biden - 5 Buttigieg - 12 Gabbard Harris - 5 Klob - 2 Sanders - 30 Steyer - 5 Warren - 35 Yang - 8
  11. I just don't think there is any way Trump gets reelected given this: and this:
  12. 1) (obviously you mean impeach and convicted, but let's not get hung up on nits) 2) this is fantasy, i won't dignify it with a response. 3) it would never be president pelosi in any event. with an R senate, engineering a Pence resignation first, confirming new VP that only needs to support of 30 Ds in the house, then Trump resigns would be as easy as cake.
  13. he almost escaped this whole 4 year fiasco unscathed too, just to be caught up in the big kahuna at the end.
  14. "Ambassador Sondland asks U.S. President" Who? "(me)" OOOOOHhhhhh.
  15. Lulz at the “it was me committing the crimes” approach.
  16. "he had to announce the investigations, he didn't have to do them."
