  1. Maybe! Actually it came with the tools, just needed a hairdryer to release the glue.
  2. Sounds like someone got waitlisted to OSU and still just can’t get over it.
  3. Presley won the Houston game for us, and Gordon just hasn’t looked the same since he was basically a no show at UCF. Still always dangerous but nowhere as explosive as before.
  4. $9.99 replacement lens kit from Amazon and a YouTube lesson and you’re back in business
  5. My wife has no idea this place exists, and if she ever stumbles upon it I’m lying straight to her face that I have no idea what it could be! It’s my god damn Fortress of Solitude for Christ’s sake!
  6. Needed gas and stopped at Buc-Ees in Wharton. At least 40 pumps and all were full, but maybe 5 people actually pumping gas! The rest were just parked there while the people were inside buying sugary something and assorted bullshit made in China.
  7. “Here’s the link, please order these” doesn’t seem that out of line of a request for someone with decades of govt purchasing experience. But you’re 100% right, when she said she was buying in the upper level because of the kid and there were good deals I ASS-umed she meant directly above where I asked her to purchase or at least in the same proximity as there were (Still are I’m sure) tons of seats available on the visitors side. Oh well, just another ankle roll along the trail to marital bliss.
  8. Headed to Houston tomorrow to hopefully watch my Pokes put the final nail in Holgy’s tenure there. I enjoy going to games there because even though UH is ghetto adjacent it has to be the cheapest place you can attend a B12 game, plus it’s under 2 hours instead of a full 9 to Stilly. So last week I’m looking at tickets and find some on the 45, aisle seats row 7 for around 65 bucks ( less fees of course) with a parking pass and ask my wife to buy them. A couple of hours later I ask her if she bought them and she reminded me that my kid likes the 2nd level because she thinks she can see better, plus they’re half the cost. (There are tickets for this game for 4 bucks on StubHub) Says she found some on the first row and she was going to buy those. I didn’t tell her that row 1 will have people walking in front of you all game, just said ok and decided to pick my next battle on something else. Last night she tells me she wished she’d waited to buy because there look to be better deals. I tell her there usually is closer to game day but what we have will be fine. She tells me that the better seats are “closer to the middle”, and ours are on the 7 yard line. I kept my goddamn mouth shut but holy shit row 7 on the 45, and 2nd level 7 yard line are not the same thing by a long freaking way! Plus now I get to find and pay for parking!!
  9. Iceland’s a little smaller than New York State, everything’s close to everything when it comes to giant volcanos
  10. Have on my DVR, I’ll try to get to it soon.
  11. No pages on my phone. Scrolled then searched. Oh well, thanks for the heads up! Delete awayyyyyyyyyy!
  12. Looked and didn’t see a thread. If there’s another thread feel free to remove, or just move. Damn CBS hooked me in with a couple of episodes. Really enjoyed it! Anyone else?
  13. Masters level, we’ll done!!
  14. They only got 9 songs on that CD?
  15. Maybe more Random Thought material. Thank you for your service. This annoys me for some reason. People just use it as a meaningless auto response like a “bless you” after a sneeze. I know for some guys it is, but for me being a veteran isn’t my entire identity, it’s just something I did when I was young and that was a long time ago. But I’ll be in the middle of a conversation and someplace I’ve been or someone I knew, etc will come up and the fact I was in the service will come in ancillarily and it’s immediately “Thank you for your service”. It interrupts the flow of the conversation and I have to throw out a thank you then try to get the convo back on track…. It’s a whole deal. Maybe if I had a service caused disability it would mean something to me, IDK. Happy Veterans Day BTW!
  16. Ice Station Zebra. The bad soundstage sets kind of date it but it’s still a decent watch with a solid cast. Not a big fan of remakes but I’d like to see this one redone with better special effects.
  17. After watching the trailer I’m a little underwhelmed. Looks like maybe they’re going to try and cover too many bases. Hope I’m wrong, I’m still really looking forward to it!
  18. Someone is exceedingly proud to be banging this.
  19. I just use the phone, I don’t pretend to understand how it works.
  20. One of however many of you guys that understands this more than I do dumb it down for me. Israel is going to call a humanitarian time out for 4 hours a day, with a 3 hour notice of when these 4 hours will start basically giving Hamas somewhere between 16 and 29% of the day to prepare or regroup. Is this basically the start of Israel signaling that there’s no real way to win this war? When you’re fighting against a non uniformed enemy that’s easily blended with the civilian population it’s hard enough without allowing them unhindered movement.
  21. Does the arsonist even have your number?
  22. When does a corpse stop being one, after it’s been cremated? Seems like this may be a crime of some sort.
  23. I get a ton of steak cooking reels on my social media feeds for some reason. Most look pretty good but when did kitchen knives the size of a machete and meat cleavers big enough to cut a hippo in half become necessary to slice a 20oz piece of meat?
  24. I have a friend that was all Trump all the time. She went to DC for the election protests or whatever you’d call them. She walked to the Capitol and was fukn giddy posting pictures and videos of her and her friend standing on the lawn with the riot going on in the background. A few days later when the writing was on the wall that this wasn’t the cool take back the stolen election event she thought it was it was suddenly radio silence from this chick. Deleted her FB and Twitter, etc and has been basically keeping the lowest profile imaginable. I ran into a guy from her tiny hometown and during the conversation he told me he grew up with a guy he thought may have been her first husband. I hadn’t talked to her in about 6 months and messaged her to ask if that was her first husband’s (She’s been married 6 times) name and she asked how in the world I could know that. I told her I was contracting to the J6 commission doing background checks on potential indictees. Immediately blocked.
