  1. My kid knows she can get away with stuff in public that absolutely wouldn’t fly at home and isn’t afraid to push that envelope.
  2. Pretty sure there’s a whole thread for this info, and the edibles aren’t made locally from the same plants? Why would one be better than the other?
  3. That shit’s one very small step away from drinks made with Red Bull
  4. That’s a lot of weight on very few studs!
  5. F-Tik Tok! Every time I try and get my kid to watch a classic movie or TV show with me she already knows the plot/big moments and ending from clips being uploaded on Tik Tok so she has no interest in seeing it! Gottdam thing’s spoilered every movie!
  6. They just don’t GAF. They’d learn and remember it if it mattered to them.
  7. Hopefully you’re talking about the grown woman.
  8. Wondered if there’d be anything left to eventually wash ashore or how long it took for them to die and if they suffered. Catastrophic Implosion of a submersible explained: When a submarine hull collapses, it moves inward at about 1,500 miles per hour - that’s 2,200 feet per second. The time required for complete collapse is 20 / 2,200 seconds = about 1 millisecond. A human brain responds instinctually to stimulus at about 25 milliseconds. Human rational response (senseâ†'reasonâ†'act) is at best 150 milliseconds. The air inside a sub has a fairly high concentration of hydrocarbon vapors. When the hull collapses it behaves like a very large piston on a very large Diesel engine. The air auto-ignites and an explosion follows the initial rapid implosion. Large blobs of fat (that would be humans) incinerate and are turned to ash and dust quicker than you can blink your eye. Info Source: Dave Corley, former Nuke sub officer

    Getting old sucks

Got up early and the house was super quiet. I found the amount of grunts, sighs, groans and other small noises and sounds I make just getting up and moving around in the morning surprising. When did all that BS start?
  10. The Carl and Ellie montage at the beginning of Up kicks me in the feels every time. I wonder if they’ll address whatever BB gun/masturbation accident caused little Elio to have that eye patch?
  11. Once in awhile if a new show looks promising or the wife or kid seem interested I’ll hit the record series option because it may take a couple of episodes to get into it, then forget to delete it from the DVR if it’s not for me. I have 5 or 6 shows that pop up now that I delete as soon as I see the recording and think I’ll remember to go to settings and remove it from the schedule but never do. Beat Shazam is still on? Is Shazam still a thing? And I’m not giving Night Court another shot, among several others.
  12. So ghosts age? Learn something new every day!
  13. This guy and his clones in pretty much any teen comedy. He was the bad guy in The Karate Kid, Back to School, and Just One of the Guys to name a few.
  14. Prank valve cap covers Hell, those would go perfect with my truck balls!
  15. What was so special about the car that you had to order one? Boomer talk warning: I remember when I was a kid and the dealerships had giant books with every drivetrain/interior/styling option available and you could really order exactly the car you wanted and they’d build it for you. A bunch of one off muscle cars and ridiculously horsepowered station wagons and family sedans running around.
  16. So would this setup charge the car battery directly, or be like a home system where it would charge a bank of batteries that would in turn charge the car? Im guessing the latter if you want to charge your car at night. I’m no electrical engineer of any sort, but Google says it takes an average of 12 kw to charge a car, and it’s around 33k for a 12 kw charging system , without government incentives. It would take about 20 solar panels at 350 watts each to operate a car charger.
  17. A Hard Day’s Night. Of course the music is perfect, and it’s cool seeing the boys as young men but why did they cheap out and film in B&W? And I was 3 in 1964, so maybe you had to be a little older when it came out, but the 60’s British absurdist humor just isn’t for me. It’s certainly influenced not only the Monkees and all the copycat 60’s band movies, but all music videos since. Another takeaway for me was how easy it was for dudes to dance in 1964, just twitch around a little.
  18. Sure it’s been posted already, but I read this morning that even if they’re somehow on the surface they’ll still run out of oxygen because the sub can only be opened from the outside. Seems like a design flaw that there isn’t some sort of explosive vent hatch
  19. He told them they’re free, but go back to where you were and continue to do what you were doing… but don’t come hang around us! It appears the US had no clue what to do with around 4,000,000 suddenly free people.
  20. Shopping yesterday and my 11 year old kid sees a 3k couch she really likes for her room. I tell her no, we’re not spending 3 grand on a couch for her bedroom that would just be full of her piled up clothes within a day. She begs and says the tag advertises it’s just 300 a month for 5 years! I try explaining to her that that’s $18,000.00 but that’s just beyond her comprehension. Don’t know what they’re teaching in school nowadays but it may explain how some kids get into so much student loan debt.
  21. Driving home this afternoon going about 82 in a 75 on an almost empty highway and passed a guy doing about 70. Went about 5 miles without coming up on another vehicle before I remembered and moved back to the right lane. Pretty sure that still makes me the asshole. ( in this instance anyway)
  22. Maybe probation if you’re white, if not probably worth 1-5.
  23. Didn’t love the black and white.
  24. Bad time to have tried that convenience store burrito.
