  1. How about a similar one with Julia Roberts narrating?
  2. That bit touches on the fact that the Republicans, at least in Texas, have never been serious about kicking out all illegal immigrants. If they did that in Texas, agriculture, construction, and service industries would grind to a halt.
  3. I've had a sense the past few years that Abbott wants little to do with Cruz, given all of the fuckups that Cruz has managed to pull off. For Abbott to film himself supporting Cruz/attacking Allred kind of surprised me the first time I saw it last week.
  4. If you respond/interact, you might get humans, which makes sense - they might think your an old person and they want to engage the olds and get money from them. https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/28/politics/video/people-behind-political-text-messages-spam-digvid
  5. Spoilers for the upcoming movie. Or maybe not spoilers.
  6. Abbott has recently been cutting and running ads for Cruz, and I don’t recall that last time. And the Cruz ad spends are ramping up, so there’s something going on. I’ve been seeing them all over sports shows and YouTube.
  7. My guess is that it will only rain, and that it will pour hard when it does, when I’ve got my kids out trick or treating. As soon as we get home it’ll stop.
  8. Still so weird seeing Republican officials coming out for Kamala.
  9. At Kamala's inauguration, I want them to have offered Lee Greenwood a chance to sing, and when he turns it down, I want them to play "God Bless the USA". Make MAGA lose their shit. Speaking of losing their shit, those "speakers" tonight at MSG who helped Kamala out, they better watch their butts. MAGA won't forgive them for motivating Puero Ricans and Latinos to get out and vote. .
  10. Just think though, Rick Scott is shitting himself as we speak. That's gotta count for something.
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Republicans had more states in the House in 2020, and each state gets a single vote. I know you're saying Pelosi would have tried to block it, but I also think Johnson is too fucking stupid to try and get something like that through.
  12. If they could have got it to the House or SC back in 2020 when Trump was in the White House, they would have.
  13. Helps that Musk's brother has apparently admitted multiple times in public that they were here illegally.
  14. Trump is the epitome of FUPM - he demanded a percentage of donations to down-ballot candidates who use his likeness. I know that George W Bush would take time out as Governor to meet and greet local politicians from Bumfuck, Texas and do photo ops with them, and he wasn’t withholding money to them or demanding a percentage of their donations for using a photo of him in their mailers. @tx 3 putt maybe right - Haley maybe waiting in the wings with some politicians and BMDs backing her. When Trump loses, he’s not going to give up the RNC purse strings or coffers, and he’s still going to funnel as much RNC money through his properties as he can, and he’s still going to keep as much with him as he can, versus letting the money be used down-ballot. This is the easiest money he’s ever had access to. GOP has a few problems come December/January Trump is still going to literally control their purse strings through Lara Trump Trump can be more erratic over the coming years all the while living in 2020, which will not help win the White House in 2028 Speaking of the White House, if Trump is not on the ticket for 2028, a hand-picked successor will be, which means RNC cash being used on his properties and not GOTV or down ballot efforts. He’s going to be an anchor around their neck and he’s going to bleed them dry if nobody does anything about it. My guess is they’ll promise him some money.
  15. Tell me you’ve never tried to get illegal immigrants to the polls, without telling me you’ve never tried to get illegals immigrants to the polls. You can load up 5-6 illegals immigrants in your car, and you’re thinking “alright, we’re gonna vote 30 or 40 times and get some sweet Soros bucks”. But those sons of bitches are going to refuse to vote until you take them to a military base so they can perform sex-change operations on American child soldiers.
  16. There's going to be a helluva lot of blame being thrown around, and I have no doubt that Trump will try and burn the GOP down to deflect blame (even as he still controls its purse strings and even as its his fault he's losing), but there are going to be a lot of Republicans who won't stand for him declaring next January that he's running for 2028. They were willing to tolerate him sucking up a shitload of money that should have been spread around the GOP/RNC, but him losing twice in a row and trying to run again for 2028 will be too much. Republicans like Holt will be in a good position to pick up the pieces. It's weird - he's progressive as fuck for a Republican (supported/met with BLM at protests, LBGTQ, COVID mandates, Indigenous People's Day, etc.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Holt_(politician)#First_term But he also worked for Dennis Hastert....
  17. And the kids who hung that up are not going to vote or are too young. I prefer the banners of my youth, such as “Clements sucks donkey dong” (Clements really did/does suck, those little Sweetwater pricks).
  18. I’m pleased with this episode. Between this and What We Do in the Shadows, and with Agatha, I’ve got a nice little weekly roundup to follow. Here’s hoping Lower Decks and Shadows finish strong.
  19. I only know a handful of my great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents and they didn’t leave me anything. Maybe 24 out of my 128.
  20. He could easily run for Governor of Oklahoma (and the Secretary of Education is pissing off a lot of Okies). At the least, he’s guaranteed himself another term and people will have forgotten this by then (and May deliberately try to forget Trump), When Trump loses again, a lot of people are going to pretend they never supported him.
  21. There were a lot of red flags in 2016 that are not present now, and in 2016, there were multiple Dem analysts saying to pump the brakes and that Trump had a solid chance, even before Comey.
  22. She must have been weirded out when she got to the front of the line, given how unfamiliar it would be for her.
