  1. If it was a war crime, a lot of Russian APC drivers should be hauled up in front of the The Hague for running over...*checks notes* Russian soldiers. And as somebody who ran a lot of other players over in Battlefield 1942 with my good ole Jeep (I killed more people with Jeeps than with any other weapon), that was an interesting/satisfying video.
  2. And Germany if they don't elect the right leader.
  3. To be fair, I'm pretty sure our shelter half tents were left over from the Vietnam era. I don't know when they replaced them, but I believe the ones we used were based on WWII models. They sure felt like it.
  4. Carlin was still not sure why he didn’t get invited back to any of the anniversary shows. He thinks maybe it was because he was high as hell on cocaine during the first episode and maybe he said or did something that turned Lorne off forever during that week. He talks about it in the 4-minute clip below
  5. We still had two-man tents in the US Army in the early 90s. Each man had a shelter half so you couldn’t go it alone.
  6. He really has no close friends or relatives or a spouse to tell him when he’s out over his skis. When most of us do stupid shit, we have plenty of people quickly pointing it out. He may not even realize how alone he is. He probably mistakes adulation for friendship. Even just a few million dollars in the bank, and I am sure as fuck out being around real people rather than engaging people on social media.
  7. I would expect it to be an Arch vs Quinn thread. There’s some pretty strong feelings about The Chosen One.
  8. I can plan to hook up with Sela Ward, but unless restraining orders are dropped and she has a change of heart, it’s not happening. He can’t change the Constitution, and Congress is not going to strip itself of the biggest and best way of enriching themselves (by enriching their donors) and for all of the complaining about pork, they are still going to send it back home. I’m surprised Leon is still around Trump, but he did give a bunch to Trump, but on the flip side, he also can’t help himself. When he tries to pressure Congress with Twitter to kill off some sacred cows that are in his sights, they will tell him to go pound sand. He still does not understand how things work outside of his world, and why we send so much federal money to so many projects and organizations and local and state governments. All these things he wants to cut, Trump and the Rs didn’t cut between 2017-2021 for a reason. And his trying to interfere in other countries’ elections and politics are not going unnoticed.
  9. He can’t cut any budgets or funding through. Only Congress can wield the power of the purse. But again, he has twitter.
  10. Probably one involving death threats over play calling in the upcoming Cotton Bowl.
  11. Correct, although he can and does wield the power of twitter against any politicians who oppose him. That can be a very tangible thing.
  12. You’re visiting TxTow in prison? Edit: Never mind, just caught up with the other posts.
  13. He will hopefully die in prison https://www.statesman.com/story/news/2017/04/14/i-35-rock-thrower-patrick-johnson-pleads-guilty-gets-40-years/986916007/
  14. I would think most, if not all, of those posters who triggered interactions with LEOs are no longer posting. TxTow is in prison, NowThis probably had more than six dildos which is against the law in Texas, etc..
  15. He’s far more paranoid than most, hence him bragging about a shitty knife stuck in his bedroom wall. People who are secure in themselves and their situation in life don’t need to brag about having weapons at hand and being able to use them. It’s the adult version of when we were kids and you would tell somebody “my dad can make your mom or dad disappear and get their body across state lines in the trunk of a 79 Ford Ltd, and sunk to the bottom of a 100 foot deep water-filled coal pit in Oklahoma or Arkansas.” Okay, that’s a bad example, because you would never provide that many details that could lead police to your dad, and would instead let them spend the rest of their lives wondering what happened to one or both of their parents, and if it was their fault and what they could have done different and maybe they should have treated that scrawny kid a little better, but I digress. You would just say “my dad can whip your dad’s ass” and hope that was enough to get people to leave you alone. Except Leon can’t bring his dad into the conversation, so he has to pick what he thinks is a great tool for knife-fighting based on a meme he saw online about bayonets, and act like he’s ready at a moment’s notice. He doesn’t sleep much based on his tweeting habits, so I’m going to guess that when he does sleep, he sleeps hard and it’s hard to wake him up, so he probably had a security detail outside and inside his house. It’s kind of telling that he thinks he’ll end up in a knife fight in his bedroom though, instead of somebody robbing the place while he’s in D.C. or Florida. There’s got to be some projection there - why think somebody will try and kill him in his bedroom and that he wants people to think he has a fucking hundred year old knife next to his bed? That’s some projection.
  16. Against companies that don’t have the best of relations with Trump? All of these companies want more visas. All of them want no regulation or to help write the regulations, government contracts, etc Pichar is an emigrant running a company that some, including Trump, claim stifle their side’s voices, Zuck is accused of his platform favoring one side, Cook is a gay man running a massive company, Musk’s empire would collapse without government contracts, and Tesla needs the tax breaks and carbon credits. Bezos can’t have tariffs all over the place All of them have their hands in the AI pie, and AI regulation in the next four years will drastically affect all of them. Musk hates these people and they hate him but he got himself into position to try and protect his wealth and companies.
  17. Find a copy of 'Series 7: The Contenders', it's over 20 years old, but it's Amerkan so they speak English.
  18. Does it hit close to home?
  19. 'Self-driving' Tesla terrifies Calif. tech founder with 'crazy' turn
  20. I saw one in Austin that had some kind of gold or bronze sheen to it. Looked tacky as hell. I don't know if it was some kind of cover they stuck on or they had some place paint it.
  21. The creator of BBS: The Documentary has uploaded all three DVDs and made them available for free in honor of the 20th anniversary, with all of the extras. My interview didn't make the cut, and hopefully he eventually releases a big chunk of the 200+ hours he cut out. BBS: The Documentary DVD Set : Jason Scott : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive h The Bulletin Board System: it brought life online. Long before the Internet connected the planet and changed nearly evertying, there was a brave and pioneering band of computer users who spent their time, money and sanity setting up their home computers and phone lines to welcome anyone who called. They called these places "Bulletin Board Systems," or BBSes. And their collections of messages, rants, thoughts and programs became the way that an entire generation learned about being online. This 3-DVD set contains many stories of the BBS, including: - The first BBSes and their unique look on the world - The experience of being a System Operator (SysOp) - The incredible triumphs and politics of Fidonet - Underground and Hacking BBSes - ANSI Artists and the Art Scene - The BBS Industry of the 1990's - The rise of the Internet and the Internet BBS ... and much more Director Jason Scott spent three years traveling throughout the country documenting stories of the people and events that made the BBS what it was. The resulting 250 hours of footage were edited down into multiple episodes, each dealing with one aspect of the BBS. Ideal as either a teaching tool or a reminder of your own memories, the BBS Documentary Collection brings back this nearly-forgotten time in a way that will tell the story... one caller at a time. The easiest way to watch these Disc images on most machines is to use the VLC Player. It is available for Mac, Linux and Windows and can be downloaded from the official VLC site. You can then drag the downloaded files into it to play them as a DVD player would, including menu selection, alternate audio tracks, and choice of subtitles.
