  1. Where else am I going to hear about he latest drugs that can potentially cause nausea, blindness, schizophrenia, hives, and shitting out my lower intestine.
  2. Yes, for that she should have stayed in. Plus, it made for an entertaining simulation. Now we just need to get Brisket elected next time.
  3. Which is why the trailer is getting down-voted. Need a trailer just for middle-aged male football fans that is nothing but Gal Gadot walking around, reading the phone book.
  4. Would have been so much cooler if it was a 1980s Holiday Inn Holidome. I wanted to live in one when I was a kid.
  5. Yes there is a market for fake AI friends who can take social media comments posted to some singer’s YouTube channel and turn them into music videos Not safe for work at all
  6. Even better. Iran can't defend itself against Israel or keep Assad from falling, but it can sail a "mothership" all the way to the Atlantic seaboard and then launch dozens of drones at....*checks notes* New Jersey. New Jersey lawmaker warns mystery drones may originate from Iranian mothership: 'Should be shot down' | Fox News
  7. Sony Spider-Man Villain Universe to End With 'Kraven The Hunter' About time Sony.
  8. Surprised they waited so long, given how important Tangled was for Disney Animation. It's cool that little Billy from The Family Circus grew up to start as the director for Tangled (the animated movie, and unfortunately, he had to step back for health issues or something), worked on Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, etc. and even got an Academy Award with Kobe Bryant.
  9. And more importantly, now that Cavill has shown he will bail on a sci-fi/fantasy TV series focused on him if they don't treat the source material right, and that fans know he will bail if it's not treated right, the showrunners have a huge incentive to do things right.
  10. If you are talking about the potential series, yeah. If you are talking about Warhammer gaming as a hobby... It will destroy your life and it will suck up your free time and your money. You will become friends with people you used to hate.
  11. You shouldn't be able to use anybody from your previous year's list, that would make things intereting. Start with Bashir Assad. He's like the Eric Snowden of ex-ME leaders - he can never leave Moscow now that people are hunting down his relatives.
  12. On the one hand, it's an OU prof talking about the Middle East. On the other hand, it's an Okie and they probably know a shit-ton about drugs.
  13. As somebody who liked to look at conspiracy theories in the 90s (thanks Oliver Stone!), it went from the mostly harmless Art Bell crowd who needed their shitty lives to feel more like they were in a Hollywood movie so that they could feel alive, or the disgruntled boomers upset that JFK was killed and the American Camelot was destroyed leading us into Vietnam, to a bunch of fucking whackos being led by Alex Jones on Austin Public Access, to the 2010s and 2020s being gaslighted by a couple of people from fucking 4chan who were making money off of them and having lots of lulz.
  14. "conspiracy theorist" is also the term for mentally ill dumbasses who somehow followed a made-up internet persona that went by a single letter of the alphabet, that told them a certain politician would be executing his enemies on the steps of the Capitol, that school shootings don't happen or are staged, or that George W. Bush planted explosive in various buildings around the World Trade Center and then staged a false-flag operation blaming somebody in Afghanistan so that he could attack Iraq, or that we faked the moon landings, or that there was a non-existent basement in a D.C.-area pizzeria that was being used to traffic children, or that Tom Hanks and Oprah Winfrey were drinking the fluids of young trafficked children to stay young. Any look at a photo of Hanks or Winfrey in the past 5-10 years shows that they are, in fact, aging normally.
  15. And for good reason. He was a purist who cared about the source material, and the showrunners/producers didn't. Here's hoping that the W40K showrunners care about the source material.
  16. Third season March 13. Shohreh Aghdashloo from The Expanse is going to be in Wheel of Time. 'The Wheel of Time' Season 3 Casts Shohreh Aghdashloo 'The Wheel of Time' Season 3 Has a Premiere Date and Teaser
  17. Looking at the twitter account you quoted, it's interesting to see that the Art Bell crowd migrated to twitter (and quite fitting) I'm going to start using the term "non-human intelligence" and if people ask me what that means, depending on who is asking, I'll either tell them it's the Irish, aggy, or dolphins.
  18. After TOS, given @SimonBolivar's past knowledge of the Star Trek universe, I would watch Discovery S2 which is basically SNW season 0.5, then watch SNW. And definitely skip the Abrams movies.
  19. Sending drones/operators to Syria probably provides a solid ROI. Either they help force/divert more Russian forces and equipment to Syria, thereby keeping them out of Ukraine, or they destroy forces/equipment that will never be able to be sent Ukraine. And I have a feeling that Russian forces in Syria are slightly better trained/equipped/experienced than Ukrainian forces.
  20. Need to get this guy on BlueSky because fuck Twitter and Twitter embeds are absolute shit these days On a road in the Zaporizhzhia region— the region where Russia continues to hold a nuclear power plant hostage — a Russian FPV drone attacked an @iaeaorg convoy tasked with ensuring nuclear safety worldwide. The strike targeted one of the convoy’s vehicles. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. This attack clearly demonstrated how Russia treats anything related to international law, global institutions, and safety. The Russians could not have been unaware of their target; they knew exactly what they were doing and acted deliberately. This attack demands a clear and decisive response, both from the IAEA and from other international partners. Silence or inaction will only embolden further violations.
  21. Yeah, just very dry with a lot of facts, which is to be expected of a financial analyst. He recently posted this, about a broader overview of things: He’s only posted one dedicated video concerning the Korea stuff, but it was interesting. He’s mentioned it in other videos. Since 2022, global demand in the arms market has expanded rapidly as many countries rush to restock on systems and munitions as well as adopt new technologies that were increasingly proving their worth in Ukraine. In that environment, the Republic of Korea has become an increasingly prolific arms exporter, with the Korean defence industry working to sustain not just the ROK Armed Forces, but also inking major contracts with buyers from the Asia Pacific to Europe. So following an invitation from the organisers of Korea's largest Defence Exhibition, the Korea Army International Defence Industry Exhibition (KADEX), I thought it was time for something a little different this week. Join me for a bit of a Perun road-trip, as we look at range of Korean and international systems, the themes emerging from the event, and what it might indicate about the evolving defence market, and the RoK's role in it. Thousands of booths, tens of thousands of attendees, and one Aussie trying to bring you an inside look at it all. Thanks again to the organisers, my translator, and those who accepted (sometimes very long) interviews over the course of the event.
  22. You should watch Strange New Worlds.
