If you gotta wash gasoline smell out of your hair for 2 days and all you got is a basic, not expensive watch, that’s a bad deal.
Glad you weren’t hurt. Oakland can be pretty scary. I live nearby and go there frequently out of necessity but gotta keep your head on a swivel for sure.
I’m gonna have to see it for “fat ScarJo” if nothing else. I’m gonna predict the weight would be a non issue for me.
It’s unfortunate that they cant seem to get a good script. The premise is gold and you’re like half way there.
As far as fighting swans or geese, maybe this sounds arrogant but I think I could handle 2-3 at a time. First thing I’d do is take 2 swans and tie their necks together in a knot. Then it’s go time.
That group picture of all the smiling little girls of Bubble Inn makes my heart hurt. As a father of two girls, having daughters in that 5-8 yo age range is the best thing in life. Old enough to be a bit independent but young enough that (most) aren’t a pain is the butt yet lol. (Middle teens can be ROUGH).
They’re sweet and happy and fun.
I’m guessing weren’t not going to get the miracle we wanted. Perhaps later when we hear more stories we’ll find that the miracles are in the kids saved by counselors.
Yes. Although there’s never true “closure,” being able to properly bury your loved one and have a place to visit their grave sure beats the alternative.
At this point I’ve long since given up on finding survivors (at least among the ones that are known to be missing). I’d be very happy to finally account for the missing, confirm they are deceased and have the tally of victims stop rising.
I was thinking that if not for the storm, 4th of July at camp would have been one of the most fun days of their lives.
That this happened at the time of day that happened, it was like a perfect storm (no pun intended). A few hour earlier or a few hours later and they could have evacuation. Fate can be exceptionally cruel.
I’m so sorry for your friends. I recognize her from the pics that have shown up on a lot of news sites. She’s a cutie. RIP little one. I’ve been on the verge of tears all day and this pushed me over the edge.
I wish we had a “crying” emoji for giving rep.
I can’t help but think about how scared those little girls must have been. I hate that my mind goes there.
I don’t know what to say. This is heartbreaking beyond measure. The loss of all innocent life is terrible but when kids die like this it’s crushing. I’m so sorry for those affected by this tragedy. I wish I didn’t know about this. Even as someone who is completely uninvolved I’m not tough enough to take this kind of stuff.
