  1. What I’ve said is that there is a stereotype. I did not say it was good or bad. Sounds like you don’t agree that a particular look is leaned on heavily. I don’t care because I dont want to look at ugly people in commercials. Sorry. You don’t either. I get it. You are the white knight who has to come in and pretend that Madison Avenue are just good people and not simply advertisers looking to associate their product witH pretty people so they’ll sell more.
  2. You gotta check multiple boxes to make it in the business these days.
  3. There is definitely a stereotypical look that is over represented in commercials (compared to real life). That look (very light skin, caucasian features, trim body, hair as above) which is attractive no doubt, represents 15% of what you see in real life, but is 85% of what you see in commercials. It’s no different that it’s ever been, advertisers using attractive people which I have no problem with. They just aren’t all pretty blondes anymore. But they are still idealized stereotypes and not representative of real life.
  4. Wow, I hadn’t seen that one. That’s pretty spicy for a toilet paper commercial. I like.
  5. Cook is playing really well. Lot of good tackling by the secondary which is odd to say. Young guys looks good.
  6. GP towel soaked in a pot of water would make a hearty soup stock. Charles Wright - 12/18, 187 yards 2 Td, 1 int Take it to the bank
  7. SAT analogy: Wright: Ewers :: Applewhite : Richard Walton?
  8. Campbell would be a great hire, but then again, I thought Frost was a sure thing at NU.
  9. Kids looks like the real deal. True freshman killing’ it.
  10. I always thought Rochon passing would be a perfect wrinkle to throw in once in a while, as a fake. Yet it’s never happened to my knowledge. My guess is they ain’t starting now. Not sure how much he’s even thrown in the last 4 years
  11. When Ewers went down if someone had said Card will do enough to keep us in the game and put us in a position to win the game, no one would believe it. And he ended up doing to injured. Gutsy performance. Much respect.
  12. I like that the Aggie tweet above thinks that 7/8 wins is their worst case scenario.
  13. I was thinking the same thing. If anything the last few years of hires has shown us, there are no sure things out there no matter how much money you throw at the next shiny object. If both parties are smart they should be able to get him relatively cheap. Short (3 year) contract with a lowish buy out in case you have to pull the ripcord. Herman gets a shot at the big time and an opportunity to rehab his career and reputation without a stint in bumfuck small town program.
  14. They’re gay right? Nothing wrong with it obviously and I would actually have more respect for CS if they were. But those outfits are on the nose and I find it hard to believe straight, homophobes wouldn’t see how they might be perceived.
  15. Wow!!!!! Pony up an extra 7.5 mil just to get him to empty his desk a few weeks earlier when you could have just told him to take a vacation. I guess Casey was right, NU got a lot of money.
  16. For the uneducated…. Was he still on his original contract or did they go full aggy and throw an extension at him for absolutely no reason?
  17. I feel like I need to pace myself. It’s not safe to have an erection for this long.
  18. Agreed. They are in desperation mode. They’ve sucked for a good long time and NU is a hard place to recruit for right now. Makes you wonder if they are set up for a Jimbo type hire. Way overpaying on a way too long contract for a guy they see as a sure thing.
  19. God, so humiliating. Delicious.
  20. This type of dig is Kyle Umlamg’s wheelhouse. Love it
  21. Sorry if I missed the answer to this but how many years and how much $$ was his extension? that graphic comparing to Sumlin is pretty damning. He’s not the messiah. He just a less drunk decent coach.
  22. Oooofffff. How’s Casey look?
  23. Small sampling (minus HS) but he looks like a gamer. Didn’t look nervous at all. Would have loved to see him go toe to toe with the secondary for 4 quarters.
