  1. "As has been revealed over the past few days, Schloss doesn't care about his players" DIRECT QUOTE FROM THE SAME FUCKING INTERVIEW SHE IS REFERENCING:
  2. A .36% shift from 2020 would be enough to lose both Arizona and Georgia.
  3. I think the real revisionist history is to try and claim the dude last night is in any way comparable to this.
  4. You keep saying this, but it just flat out is not comparable. He was labeled as an old man and then he would come out and easily clear the hurdle. Biden 2020 was old in a "wise, old man" kind of way. Biden 2024 is old in a "will he make it to November?" kind of way. The reason for the panic last night is this is the first time he didn't clear the "old" hurdle. The mass "oh shit" reaction was not some coordinated messaging campaign, it's the visceral reaction of millions of people who have never once considered replacing Biden suddenly realizing the red button needs to be pushed. It's a big, big deal. Also, "he just needs to keep doing the day to day stuff" is a really weird request for someone with historically low approval ratings. Biden's key to victory was always to show he was the only candidate fit to be president. Last night did not do that, period.
  5. This is correct. Biden has his base, as does Trump. That is a given. Biden’s GOTV case (as it was in 2020) is that one of the candidates is clearly unfit for office, so vote for me. Last night painted a picture of two unfit candidates, and that is not a path to victory for Dems. It’s not fair, but it’s reality.
  6. This is honestly the best summation I’ve seen about why last night mattered. Y’all can dismiss the importance of a single debate, sure, but (fair or not) Biden’s age is now THE question regarding the debate. The immediate emotions of the debate may fade, but this question will remain.
  7. I love Joe. He makes the very shortlist of best presidents in my lifetime. Anyone trying to wave this off as just a “lost debate” is whistling past the graveyard. His core vulnerability is his age, and his performance validated and accentuated any and all criticisms in this arena. This is not an issue he can improve on or get coached up: he’s just old as fuck. There is a zero percent chance that the man on that stage tonight will win the election. I hate typing that sentence, but I am as certain of it as I have been of anything in politics. The American people are stupid but simple, and “too old to lead” is about as simple as it gets and takes minimal effort to reach this conclusion. I understand the arguments against replacing him, I’ve made them myself on this very site. But not doing anything will guarantee MAGA 2.0.
  8. What’s interesting is there is there is no real MAGA victory lap, as is usually the case after a debate. The entire discussion right now is centered around Biden, and how he does not provide a realistic alternative to Trump. Theoretically, this gives Dems a unique opportunity to capitalize, should they desire to grow a spine.
  9. Are you trying to tell me that the aggy 9.95ers were blowing smoke up everyone’s ass regarding candidates? Well, I never…
  10. There’s no way this could happen given the egos involved, but the correct move would be to replace him with someone that Fox hasn’t already spent years bashing. Sorry Kamala, Gavin, Pete, and Gretchen. They need someone comparatively unknown who can come in, deliver a few convincing speeches, dominate a debate, and doesn’t have a huge oppo file in the RNC archives. Someone like Wes Moore could probably pull it off.
  11. Biden ain’t gonna win over any tuned out voters sounding like this.
  12. Basically every single poll on the topic tells the same story. People will say that the country is doing terrible, but personally they are doing fine. And all of the metrics used to measure how the average citizen is doing (eating out, traveling, etc.) do not paint a picture of economic crisis AT ALL. It's a media failure on almost every level.
  13. Only 27% of aggy identifying as conservative has me questioning this entire dataset.
  14. The only difference, and I mean ONLY difference, between this situation and basically every other coach leaving is the reaction of the fanbase. From the question immediately after losing the game, to the crashing of the intro press conference, to the incessant whining on twitter. This isn't worse than any other coaching transition, it's just getting more attention because aggy is driving the narrative.
  15. The only reason aggy isn’t the most hated fanbase in all of sports is because they have been too shitty to be relevant. An entire campus full of the most mentally unwell humans on planet earth.
  16. Ah yeah, that’s gotta be it. Ah yeah, that’s gotta be it.
  17. So it's now common knowledge that he's been actively recruiting against aggy for months, yet every single person affiliated with that school insisted he was going nowhere until yesterday afternoon. Seems legit!
  18. Strongly imply that you are about to start some shit. End up asking the weakest question imaginable with a quivering voice. The aggy way.
  19. I didn't think anything could beat Tech's reaction to us hiring Beard, but this is truly next level insanity. Sending reporters to the introductory press conference is BATSHIT.
