  1. I tend to agree if you are comparing us with Washington, but I absolutely could see them putting both Bama and Georgia ahead of us if we all have one loss. No idea what happens if Michigan loses but don’t want to find out.
  2. This is incorrect. We are a slam dunk in the scenario I described. But I wouldn’t feel particularly confident in any of the other ones.
  3. A lot of people here are clamoring for chaos. We do NOT want chaos. We want this very neat and tidy. Undefeated Georgia, undefeated Michigan, undefeated Washington. We want Oregon and Bama to have two losses and FSU and Ohio State to be one loss non-conference champs. Anything else put this in the hands of the committee and they have made it very clear, for whatever reason, they do not respect our resume.
  4. My wife's cousin recently passed the bar exam. My dad, completely unprompted: "You know, Kamala Harris failed the bar exam three times...."
  5. If they had announced the Elko hire an hour after the firing of Jimbo, the fanbase would have been apoplectic. Their current positive reaction is more about the events of the last week than it is about Elko.
  6. UH is gonna make a better hire than aggy, aren’t they?
  7. They’re gonna end up promoting Robinson.
  8. Why is everyone so preoccupied with Oregon? At best, we are currently viewed as a toss up with them in the eyes of the committee. If they add a win against Washington, that will clearly put them ahead. If they don’t, then they’ll fall out of the picture. Just seems like wasted energy worrying about them.
  9. I’m proud to root for this team. There’s never a question of effort. There’s never a question of dedication. Just a bunch of dudes giving it their all on and off the field. I’m proud to wear my Burnt Orange in public these days, and that hasn’t always been the case over the last decade plus. Thanks Sark.
  10. There has never been a playoff with 4 undefeated teams. There has been no season in history where a last second loss during a rivalry game to a top 15 team would have kept us out of the playoffs except for potentially this one. You are correct that we did this to ourselves, but his point still stands that this is rotten luck.
  11. Reconciling their preseason “they may lose 6 games” statements with the current “of course they are beating up on this schedule” is delicious.
  12. I’m sure a man who has literally never played/coached outside the rust belt is dying to get to College Station.
  13. Really liked Kellie, sad to see her go - but that was a truly great blindside. Also found it interesting that she's a lesbian and I don't think (?) it was mentioned once on the show.
  14. I've been told that we are not supposed to draw conclusions beyond the concrete words written on the protest sign. so pardon my confusion at your inferences here.
  15. Glad to know where we stand.
  16. Mattress Mack reminds me so much of my grandfather: golden hearted man who lost his fucking mind in the final few years after consuming too much Fox News. Also, he really needs a gambling intervention. And Sydney is absolutely correct that he's still worshipped by the vast majority of Houstonians.
  17. Likely me just being touchy that "civilians who praise the slaughter of Jews are not innocent" is somehow meant to be comparable to some of the truly controversial shit spewed in the last few weeks, and then being scolded for bringing it up.
  18. Is this where I get to point out that Jews and Israel are not synonyms or is that only something that you guys get to do when lecturing us?
  19. To be clear, do you have a problem with the statement: “Civilians who praise the slaughter of Jews are not innocent”
  20. An Iowa State player openly admitting that they circle the Texas game every season right as this board is being lectured on Texas’s arrogance is hall of fame comedic timing.
  21. A guy whose entire career consists of coaching literally the most talented roster in the country. I’m sure that will translate!
  22. Are you trying to tell me this guy isn't the beacon of healthy living?
  23. Wasn't meant to be a specific reply directed at you, it's obvious that this is a sentiment shared by many in the fanbase.
  24. "Something might happen in a few weeks so I'm going to ruin today" is a miserable way to go through life, if I'm being honest. Having that mindset after the last decade+ of shit that we've been forced to endure as Longhorn fans should be certifiable.
