  1. It’s a huge player bringing in big money adoption. I think I posted this video around when it happened, but it’s Michael Saylor and the CEO of NYDIG. This was at a conference focused on corporates and adoption of Bitcoin, but it captures the bull case well for individuals too. Worth the hour listen if you’re curious, or just wanna get bulled up.
  2. You seem hangry. Did you miss your mealworm ration? I’mdoingmypart.gif
  3. Agree with all of this. Kids aren’t the obese superspreaders that we need to squash out. They get it less, transmit it less, and are almost never seriously harmed by it. On the safety side, their bodies are still developing and it makes sense to me that they would theoretically be more prone to longer term consequences of these new vaccines that are currently unknown. (there may not be any) As an aside, there’s two ends of the covid parenting spectrum that are equally weird to me. “My kid can’t wait to get his mask off!” And, “My kid is super pumped for the new covid vaccine!” Both are the result of parents projecting their obsessions onto their kids that would likely never have cared either way.
  4. It’s hard to keep up with all of them. During these “alt seasons” all kinds of random shitcoins pump for no obvious reason. Typically you should expect them to dump eventually, especially the older ones that have done it before.
  5. Coming soon to Joe Biden’s America? How many posters here looking forward to eating mealworms for protein? You need to walk the walk. To save the climate. 🙄
  6. Solana is another big one and has the backing of Sam from the exchange FTX behind it. Also the Binance Smart Chain and CZ behind that one. Fees need to come down for smart contract applications to make the impact the advocates envision. It’s not a given. Bur the Ethereum network has reached sufficient scale that it’s hard not to envision it carrying on. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I’m not a fan of the PoS consensus mechanism fwiw.
  7. I agree with everyone here. Hold your ETH. We’re still fairly early in this bull run.
  8. Negative real rates-bullish for assets like Bitcoin. Nominally negative interest rates-extremely bullish for assets like Bitcoin.
  9. My understanding is that the economics of it are a slam dunk. The energy would be lost anyway. It also supposedly lessens the environmental impact with the way it’s captured. Of course that comes from its proponents.
  10. Actually missed this a while back.
  11. The vast majority of Bitcoin mining in Texas will be off of flared gas from oil wells. In any case, these are great developments for Texas. Looking forward to the state actually devoting some of its own funds to Bitcoin. It would be a wise move to strengthen our financial position. UTIMCO held (still holds?) gold bullion in NYC vaults. Why not do hold some of this store of value that’s going to appreciate? It would help further establish Texas and Austin specifically as a burgeoning tech/Bitcoin hub. There’s already a large contingent of prominent bitcoiners in Austin to build on. From a competitive standpoint Miami is making a similar push as well.
  12. This has different levels to it. I think I’d actually like to sit in a section that’s 1/3 capacity. Also, aren’t you actually more likely to spread illness having unvaccinated people in their own spread out section? They’re no vaccinated people between them as a physical buffer.
  13. I see 200k happening this year, but I’m an optimist.
  14. Correct. ETH is supported by the vast majority of developers. The split of Eth and Etc is an interesting story. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_DAO_(organization) It illustrates some of the potential vulnerabilities of ETh. It’s pretty centralized.
  15. Is it both sides? Yes. Unelected bureaucrats with an inflated sense of self worth want to keep having a say in how millions of people go about their everyday lives? I guess that’s what it is? I’m looking for reasons why they release guidance that has no scientific basis like the kids masking stuff.
  16. Anecdotal here, but a couple pulmonologist colleagues at my chiropractic clinic say they’d estimate that about 20% of patients hospitalized with covid have longer term pulmonary issues/oxygen requirements.
  17. The article wasn’t about other people wearing masks. It was about CDC still publishing guidelines suggesting kids wear them in ridiculous situations.
  18. That’s a nice pic of you applauding non-science based guidance pertaining to masks.
  19. Why are you getting so emotional? What word would you use to describe rules that say kids have to wear masks outside at summer camp based on little to no scientific backing? As time passes it’s becoming more clear to me that this kind of crap is just about maintaining control. I’m just glad we live in Texas where this regard level “guidance” is largely ignored.
