  1. SIAP Great quote here. “The CDC is a science-based organization,” Fauci said recently. “They don’t want to make any guidelines unless they look at the data and the data backs it up.” OK. Show us the data that justify masking kids. No such data exist. Last week, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Rep. Jason Smith (R-Mo.) sent a letter to the CDC demanding “information on how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention came to its conclusion that children 2 years and older should wear face masks.” Lee, Smith and 30 other signatories also point out that masking in much of Europe begins around age 11 or 12.
  2. So many notifications about this thread today. It looks like it’s all about masks? Here’s a fascinating idea. You can think both of these things. Our leaders at the beginning, specifically Trump, should’ve pushed masks more at the beginning. Also, our leaders now should push masks less, for the vaccinated. How cool would it have been for Biden to walk out with no mask for his pseudo state of the union and say hey guess what? Everybody here is vaccinated in this big room. Y’all take your masks off and let’s talk business.
  3. I would never hope for a market crash. I’ve never had a big bet on that happening. I don’t root for misery. We’ve seen how market crashes affect crypto. They’re deflationary and hurt BTC/crypto more so than traditional markets. Janet Yellen was speaking while still wearing her Fed chair hat. When she mentions rising interest rates it’s pretty clear that she sees more risk to the upside wrt inflation. That’s just another data point that agrees with my thesis that despite all the deflationary pressures you and others have mentioned, that the Fed Reserve will not allow real deflation to occur. They will err to the upside and in fact have said as much. How does that inform my crypto strategy? I’m preparing for what I expect to happen, not what I want to happen. We have to debase our currency at this point. The Fed will not tighten much, it at all, and the Government will not stop running massive deficits. These factors give a trusted store of value that has a fixed supply massive upside. There are other CR reasons as well but those are stated over there.
  4. If/when DeSantis beats Kamala for Pres I would expect a large amount of irrational thinking to take place here.
  5. Ok $100. We should have 8 now. Need 4 more.
  6. Actually now that you put it that way I’m on board. I’ll earn some nice coin when Pres DeSantis needs outside help going after BlueAnons online. I could blend in quite well as a CR poster. I know the lingo.
  7. I would. I’m anti surveillance state.
  8. The article has a quote from anonymous official saying it will comply with existing laws. It also says they are looking to outside people to do work they aren’t legally allowed to do. Sounds like they’re wading into a legal gray area, at the least, by going around the current legal boundaries. Call it whatever you want. It’s not a lie.
  9. Outsourcing some information gathering to outside firms would give DHS the benefit of tactics that it isn't legally able to do in-house, such as using false personas to gain access to private groups used by suspected extremists, sources say.
  10. By circumventing current laws.
  11. I trust their eyes and what they’re seeing in the economy. Anyone who takes their views seriously on anything tech related is making a mistake.
  12. They’re trying to circumvent legal limits to their surveillance powers. I’m glad you’re expressing your support for it.
  13. Income info does not equal transaction info. That’s another potential level of government invasion into privacy. It’s fine that you support that, just be aware of it.
  14. Foreign influence in elections?
  15. The Viking guy had a cooler hat. Define “good”. Lol. He’s definitely not fat like Trump.
  16. In the video a couple pages back he told the interviewer, that he knew was vaccinated, that if he came closer to him he’d put his mask on. That is a straight up irrational fear of Covid. The fact that he is behaving this way gives interesting insight into how he and his administration view this currently. Essentially, zero risk is acceptable. The only way it makes any sense is that his doctors are concerned enough about him that they want his risk as close to zero as possible, for whatever reason.
