  1. I’m only sharing this because it’s hilarious. Don’t want to argue it’s relevance. Cant believe it’s real.
  2. I consider myself a bit of a CJ Williams expert. I watched his 4 minute sophomore mid season highlight video and he has two catches that are beautiful snags with his hands and perfect NFL toe taps. He appears to have the hands/body control you want in a receiver. I’m still seeing Keenan Allen and you can make a serious living with that skill set.
  3. That’s usually the right move. I’m only adding small amounts, but I buy a token amount through CashApp every big dump.
  4. So the CJ Williams comp is obviously Keenan Allen right? 6’2” Quicker than fast. Route running technician with excellent hands.
  5. I know. I didn’t realize there were people who avoided eating inside still. Except my younger brother in Austin. He’ll only eat outside when people are in town and try to meet up with him. I guess he’s single so he’s able to stay more isolated. With 4 kids in school and basketball and gymnastics and everything I hardly think about it outside of when I leave my mask in my truck and have to go back and get it.
  6. This is pretty much me. I could see people making a lot of money on them, but I’m failing to “get it” to the point that I’m going to learn which ones are valuable or put money into them. If someone here wants to school us, that would be great.
  7. Nonsense. My son now knows the names of all different types of construction vehicles. Im gonna take the contrarian stance and say the show is terrible, but some of the songs are quite catchy. It’s a harmless show.
  8. Fauci saying we can’t safely open schools without more stimulus is objectively false. And he knows that. That’s what I was referring to, but I’m currently tired of beating that dead horse. Here’s more of my consultancy work. Jake Tapper- thanks for coming on Dr GR, you’re one of my personal heroes for how you’ve helped us manage the pandemic. After seniors get vaccinated is it safe for them to see their grandkids in person? GR- thanks for the kind words Jake. It’s really been a pleasure serving the country during this difficult time. At this point I think it should be safe for people to see their families in person, including their grandchildren. Jake- Wait, esteemed Dr, what do you mean should be? GR- Well we are constantly learning about this virus but we see no reason currently why they should continue to isolate completely from their families. These are great vaccines that will help us end the pandemic as more people receive them. The above works unless he is harboring deeper concerns about the variants and vaccine efficacy than he is letting on. Which is possible.
  9. I wouldn’t call him a villain. He did knowingly disseminate disinfo recently though. His problem is similar to a lot of our Covid heroes. They looked like (or were easily portrayed as) geniuses next to Trump. Now that he’s gone they look like what they are, typical bureaucrats with underwhelming levels of competency and moral standards.
  10. Yes I did watch it. He doesn’t want to make any big proclamations. He sure seems to do that often. We’re also going on a couple months of data from people getting vaccinated. How much data does he need before saying it’s ok for vaccinated seniors to see their family? Again, why is he not sure about that? If being vaccinated doesn’t even grant his blessing for you to be around your family, then how good is it? It’s a bizarre clip.
  11. I think this is an example of the mixed messaging here regarding vaccinations. So grandparents get vaccinated, but they still can’t see their grandkids? So people get it so they can be “safe” from Covid but just not with family contact? He doesn’t want to make some proclamation on Tv suddenly? Isn’t that what he does for a living? Most people that watch this have to be wondering what the fuck he’s talking about. Are there people that still listen to him? The only explanation that makes sense to me is that they’re are more uncertain about vaccine efficacy towards variants than they are letting on. In which case it’s a harder sell to get people to take the shot if it’s already greatly losing efficacy. He’s basically being dishonest either way.
  12. I wasn’t referring to education options next year. I was referring to opening tomorrow and it’s as simple as I stated. Lawsuits should not be a problem. I haven’t thought of how it will go next year or if remote will be completely scrapped. A lot depends on the variants and the next few months. I’m still available for consulting.
  13. Or how about NBC News? This morning looking over a couple DeSantis articles I found this gem. A lot of similar allegations as in the CBS article linked, but when I read it this small passage struck me. “Florida, according to the latest NBC News tally, has reported 1.84 million Covid-19 infections and nearly 30,000 deaths due to the coronavirus, some of the worst numbers in the nation.” On an absolute basis sure. But what about per capita? They’ve had the 27th most cases and 28th most deaths. Is the author unaware of the distinction? Of course not. It’s just blatant misrepresentation of data for purposes of the article. It’s a small detail, but a crystal clear example of how legacy media cannot be trusted to provide news and data to the public or to interpret it justly. Tl;Dr Can any media can be trusted? We’re all fucked.
  14. When fuckheads like this are against it, you’re on the right side.
  15. It’s just a nuanced argument, I guess. Covid and lockdowns- it disproportionately affects old people so they should stay home as much as possible, BUT blanket restrictions on the entire population including young adults don’t make sense. Protect the vulnerable, let everyone else live as normally as possible. Vaccines- who will they help the most? Old people and obese people. Give them the vaccine first. Protect the most vulnerable.
  16. In GR world seniors, starting with say 75 and up would get priority along with their caretakers at facilities and other first responders. Then maybe go down to 65 and include our massive obese population. I look at it mostly from the standpoint of how to most reduce morbidity and mortality due to the virus. I would also exclude people who have had confirmed cases from receiving the vaccine.
  17. You have me confused with somebody else. I’m against militarized police. 💯 Teachers aren’t beneath my concern. I just don’t put them above millions of other people working indoors since this started. They’ll be around humans less likely to have it or give it to them. It’s really that simple. Local governor gets groups of most vulnerable people vaccinated. I haven’t followed vaccine rollout in Florida, but I feel comfortable saying that mainstream media will skew anything about Florida or DeSantis in a negative light going forward. I quite literally throw their interpretation of anything out the window. It’s really unfortunate.
  18. First things first, my state subsidized babysitters have been in service since August, so that’s not why I post about it. You may not believe me, but I really just feel terrible for these kids around the country that are being held hostage for unscientific, political reasons. It’s a detriment to our whole country, not just the regions where this nonsense is happening. It’s the most significant inadequacy left in our Covid response. That’s why I post about it in this thread. I already explained why I don’t think teachers should be at the front of the line or need vacations as prerequisite for opening. There’s millions of seniors unvaccinated.
  19. I’m always caught off guard when I realize there’s people out there that don’t think the media is shit.
