  1. Gabe liked to throw his brick hands. https://hoopshype.com/2007/12/09/ime-the-great/
  2. Well that’s total bullshit. Unfortunately those kids and their teachers are sometimes an afterthought when they should be a priority. It’s a shame.
  3. We went through that journey with my oldest son and fortunately made it out the other side. I can’t imagine how much it must hurt to watch your toddler kind of plateau while all of this is going on. Good luck to you.
  4. That’s awesome. Maybe take a little but consider leaving some on to let ride. A lot of momentum behind it currently. We know microstrategy is currently buying a billion dollars more. I think we have pretty smooth sailing through 60k. It’s not outside the realm of possibility for us to get to 80k before we see the next big pullback like we saw at 40k.
  5. Most people though are probably fine with Coinbase holding their coins, but I liked learning about the self custody process and personally enjoy holding large sums of money and knowing that no one can tell me what to do with it (or not do with it). I realize that might make me weird to value that but whatever.
  6. I held mine on a Ledger for a couple years but I too was concerned about my dumb ass messing it up. I ended up moving my coins to a multisig wallet setup. I chose Casa, the cheapest option is the gold plan is $10/month. You get a 2of3 multi signature wallet. It goes from there to 3 out of 5 keys for Platinum at $150/month. There’s a lot of resources on the site to help you fully understand the security options. https://keys.casa/ The other big one that is well trusted throughout bitcoin community is Unchained Capital. They’re actually based out of Austin. https://unchained-capital.com/
  7. It’s the parents’ fault now? Am I taking crazy pills? Let me help you out, since evidently you don’t have school age children. You open the school for those that want in person instruction. For those that don’t, they can do remote. It’s their choice, no liability. For each grade, some teachers handle in person. Some teachers handle the remote. As more kids move to in person because it’s safe, so do more teachers as needed. Maybe I should start a consulting firm and help these confused school districts strategize on how to safely open the schools. This was all hammered out 6-7 months ago by people all over the country. Stop making excuses for retards.
  8. His CV is pretty impressive, but it’s your right to dismiss his interpretation of the situation. I’m sorry he’s been “trotted out” by people or entities you dislike. I can buy the argument that Dr Makary undersells the potential impact of variants. But, I’m curious how he so easily dismissed the math that finds that 55% of Americans have natural immunity at this point.
  9. No. After thinking about it, I just wanted to take some of that investment off the table. That tranche alone is 10x of my original investment. Riot is just very overvalued, which is great, but I was concerned that there could be some short report come out overnight and it would be down 50%. Less likely after WSB burned those shorts but still. I’m still in 95% of my crypto investments.
  10. Lol. It’s the right move. Are you going to be Case McCoy or are you going to be Jordan Hicks?
  11. Sold about 1/5 of my stack of $riot calls yesterday in 401k. A 50x win. Unbelievabke. Plan on phasing out over the next few months into non crypto stuff like weed etf MSOS and smaller biotechs. Decision time?
  12. A faculty member at Johns Hopkins? Ok. You should read the column, smooth brain. He actually argues we need to stop playing politics with the science. CC: Dipshit Fauci “Some medical experts privately agreed with my prediction that there may be very little Covid-19 by April but suggested that I not to talk publicly about herd immunity because people might become complacent and fail to take precautions or might decline the vaccine. But scientists shouldn’t try to manipulate the public by hiding the truth. As we encourage everyone to get a vaccine, we also need to reopen schools and society to limit the damage of closures and prolonged isolation. Contingency planning for an open economy by April can deliver hope to those in despair and to those who have made large personal sacrifices.”
  13. This guy has serious credentials. The key point, which I can’t confirm or really contest is, “the consistent and rapid decline in daily cases since Jan. 8 can be explained only by natural immunity”. And I’ve thought this from the beginning, “I have argued for months that we could save more American lives if those with prior Covid-19 infection forgo vaccines until all vulnerable seniors get their first dose.” File that one under no fucking shit. That never made sense.
  14. Just because he says it, doesn’t mean it’s true. It also doesn’t mean it’s not, but he has knowingly disseminated disinformation before so anything is possible.
  15. Would you mind elaborating? Does this mean he knows how to hint around that he could use a new job in Alabama?
  16. I’m sorry to hear that. Those kinds of kids don’t handle change or transitions well at all, but there’s little doubt that in the long run those kids are the ones that need help from people like your wife the most. It should get better for them over the next couple days/weeks. On the positive side, little 3 and 4 year olds are poor transmitters of the disease. I haven’t heard of any preschool requiring masks that young, and there haven’t been any mass preschool/daycare closures that I’ve heard of.
