  1. * it's Just being an ass. 😀
  2. Trying to get a couple of others signed up coming in from Houston.
  3. The QB is down as soon as he initiates the slide. So he would have been marked down around the 18 yard line. He was balling and trying to get the first down and not leave it to our short yardage offense.
  4. Only way that can happen is Bama losing two games and Ole Miss would have to lose another game. Both highly unlikely.
  5. The three tied at 7-1 don't have the common opponent of Georgia (aggy didn't play, of course), so H2H not used. The Florida loss fucks us when looking at records of common opponents which is second tie breaker. Arkansas, Kentucky, and Florida are the teams everyone played.
  6. A little early to be contemplating this, but according to this site, if Texas, Bama, and Ole Miss win out, aggy beats Mizzou, standings look like below. https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket.php?conf=secfb
  7. Wow. What a shitty schedule. Vandy @ Texas and ousux @ Tenn are only ranked on ranked matchups.
  8. Just saw this. May try to come over at halftime.
  9. From the first angle looked like #16 hit him first. Second angle was #14.
  10. He made the stop on 4th down in OT, so thankfully he stayed in. Knowing him, I think he'll be back for Vandy.
  11. So there is a playoff! Sweet!
  12. That would be good. An 11am game the morning after Halloween would suck.
  13. My daughter summed it up best. Everyone leaving the stadium felt like they lost.
  14. Cool to see pics of that place. It's in my 'hood. Looks like a great sports bar.
  15. My daughter graduated from UK in 2016. The campus is almost unrecognizable since then. Not sure where the money is coming from, but a lot of demolitions and new construction. Good observation on the Southern thing. Kentucky desperately wants to be considered part of the South. There's a mural downtown that says "Lexington - where the South begins". And it is funny, once you cross the river into Cincinnati, it immediately feels like the Midwest. My daughter and I always laugh as we never would consider Kentucky "the South". The Louisville to Lexington area is beautiful with rolling hills, green grass, and horse country. And liberal. It's a blue dot in red Kentucky. But once you leave this area, oh boy. Appalachiany is a good description.
  16. Just made it back to Austin. Great trip. I need to sleep for the next 2 days. Lexington cannot handle a football game, Keeneland, and the Fasig-Tipton October horse sales on same weekend. Lex also has no freeway in town, so traffic was a nightmare most of the weekend. Kentucky fans were extremely nice and wanted to talk (mainly about Arch) and share at tailgates. They kept saying we would destroy them, but I figured it would be close for 3 quarters before we pulled away. Well I missed that last part. Except for the traffic and the game, very fun time.
  17. Busy, great trip so far. Buffalo Trace and Keeneland yesterday. Amazing meal at Deauville. Claiborne Farm this morning (where Secretariat stood and buried) then Fasig-Tipton. Son-in-law works there. Beautiful grounds. At B&B now. Good place. Mostly Texas fans. Good sign today.
  18. Buffalo Trace was insane today. So crowded but they did a good job. Lots of orange. Texas Fight yell broke out at Keeneland! Who started that?!?
  19. On flight ready for epic weekend. I’m going to cancel the Bear and Butcher. Haven’t heard of anyone going. Met John Baker who is on my flight. Rancher who owns Bevo. Great guy. https://www.kvue.com/article/news/local/how-an-austin-area-family-became-the-owners-of-ut-mascot-bevo/269-609600767#
  20. Kind of stunned that Texas/ou was the highest rated game this weekend since it went up against Oregon/Indiana (5.59M). https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-tv-ratings/
  21. We've gone from 30+ attending to this: 😀
  22. @Longboard Horn Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Anyone confirmed for showing up at Bear and Butcher on Saturday at 12:30? I have a table for 12, but they won't let us sit unless over half the group there. I'm down to four in my group for Saturday afternoon. @RRHorn - do you still need space for 2? I will reduce my table size to 6 or 8 if I don't hear from anyone.
  23. Gates open at 11a. Post time of first race is 1p. Yes, tailgating is pretty big deal at Keeneland. May consider this as an option at least for part of afternoon. It's free to park on the large grass field near track (you don't need ticket to the races). Just found out my daughter has a horse racing Saturday, as well.
