  1. And another white murderer gets taken in without scratch on him. Funny how that works. I wonder if they stopped for burgers?
  2. Great song, released 54 years ago.
  3. No descriptor could be possibly be more vague or subjective.
  4. Yeah, because advocating for socialized healthcare is totally the left wing version of buddying up with the KKK.
  5. Back when I was in grad school, I used to procrastinate and watch TV when I should have been writing, so I feel that I know what it's like to be president. Except I didn't plagiarize what I saw on TV.
  6. I never understood the reluctance of people in sports to refer to yellow as yellow. I get that yellow used to mean "cowardly", but that seems beyond old-fashioned at this point, to the extent, I would think, that most kids below the age of 20 probably have no idea that "yellow" has that meaning for some people. Maybe I'm wrong.
  7. She wears a gigantic cross, though (not pictured in her mugshot).
  8. I guess this is where this article belongs: Pro-Trump Republican aiming to unseat Ilhan Omar charged with felony theft A criminal complaint filed to Hennepin county district court alleged Stella was seen leaving the store without paying for most of her haul, after “scanning only a few other items” that were valued at about $50. Danielle Stella. In a series of text messages, Stella said: ‘I am not guilty of these crimes.’ Photograph: Bloomington police department The complaint said Stella told police in a statement she “remembers arriving at Target to purchase items but nothing else” due to post-traumatic stress disorder, and that she “normally she goes to Target with someone because of anxiety around people”. ... Officers in nearby Bloomington then arrested Stella on 28 April after she was allegedly seen by security staff at a Cub Foods grocery store stealing a bottle of tick spray for cats, and placing other items “under her purse so that they could not be seen”. #sadtrombone
  9. Apparently some KU fans are experiencing mild vaginal discomfort over the fact that Kentucky will be playing Tech this year instead of them.
  10. This is already happening, bro.
  11. I'm sure some sweet Go Fund Me $ are already heading his way via the wallets of conservative drones.
  12. I'm not sure, but the fact that there's doubt in my my mind - and in many others' minds too, I think it's safe to assume - is telling.
  13. Calling Trump Claim 'Delusional,' Iran Says US May Have Shot Down Its Own Drone by Mistake Iran on Friday said President Donald Trump's claim that the American Navy shot down an Iranian drone in the Strait of Hormuz is "delusional" and suggested the U.S. may have accidentally destroyed its own aircraft. "We have not lost any drone in the Strait of Hormuz nor anywhere else," Abbas Araghchi, Iran's deputy foreign minister, tweeted Friday. "I am worried that USS Boxer has shot down their own [unmanned aircraft system] by mistake!" Araghchi's tweet comes just hours after Trump said in remarks at the White House that the U.S. Navy "immediately destroyed" an unmanned drone that flew within 1,000 yards of an American warship. CNN reported that the drone was downed with "electronic jamming." "This is the latest of many provocative and hostile actions by Iran against vessels operating in international waters," Trump said, without presenting any evidence to support the accusation. "The United States reserves the right to defend our personnel, facilities, and interests, and calls upon all nations to condemn Iran's attempts to disrupt freedom of navigation and global commerce." Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif, who is in New York on a visit to the United Nations headquarters, told reporters, "We have no information about losing a drone." Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, a spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces, said the U.S. president's claim that the American Navy downed an Iranian drone is completely false. "Unlike Trump's delusional and groundless claim," said Shekarchi, "all drones belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, including the one mentioned by the U.S. president, have returned to their bases safe and sound after carrying out their scheduled surveillance and control operations."
  14. I wouldn't really characterize "I support a terrible person as a president and never, ever criticize him for any reason because libs/HRC/surly posters hurt my feelings" as a political position.
  15. The "I'm trying to give you helpful advice even though I hate everything you stand for politically" schtick is really fucking annoying, which I assume is what you're going for.
  16. We do have the majority, dumbass.
  17. Pretty much the same thing, just a different medium.
  18. Ttom takes me back to the days when I used to subject myself to the politics board on raiderpower.com.
  19. "Our best work was 150+ years ago. Take that, libs!"
  20. I think it would be quicker to list the aspects of being a college head college Kliff did enjoy: i.e. drawing up plays, coaching QBs and helping to design tacky uniforms.
  21. Texas Tech Finishes Third in Men's Capital One Cup Standings LUBBOCK, Texas – After a historic spring that featured a national title and two top-four national finishes, Texas Tech has achieved its highest finish all-time in the men's Capital One Cup as the Red Raiders closed the 2018-19 year in third place. The Capital One Cup is awarded each year to the nation's top men's and women's athletics programs based on a scoring system that grants points for top-10 finishes in NCAA Division-I championships. Points are also awarded for top-10 finishes in official coaches' polls for every sport. Each sport is placed into one of two groups to determine its points value. Group A includes the sports of cross country, track and field, tennis and golf among sports Tech's sponsors, while Group B features football, basketball and baseball. The value of points for Group B sports are triple that of the total for Group A. Tech claimed 36 points for its national runner-up finish at the Men's Final Four and then added 20 more points from its national title at the Track and Field Outdoor Championships. The men's track and field team previously finished tied for sixth at the indoor championships for five points, while Tech's run to the final four teams at the College World Series resulted in 18 points. Virginia claimed the men's Capital One Cup with 127 points after the Cavaliers won national titles in both men's basketball and lacrosse. Stanford finished second with 88 points followed by Tech with 79, Maryland with 75 and Vanderbilt with 70. Tech was the only school from the state of Texas to finish among the top 10, marking the second-consecutive year the Red Raiders have recorded the highest showing in the Lone Star State. Tech was also the only Big 12 Conference program to finish in the top 10 of the men's standings.
  22. I can't say whining about not winning an Espy is the most aggy thing ever (that would have to be fucking a goat or having a circle jerk with fellow cadets), but it's up there.
  23. Tech, OSU and aggy all went to the "3-d"/beveled logo around the same time (Tech may have been first, but if so, it's a dubious achievement). I've never heard any fan of those schools ever say it looks good or that it was an improvement.
