  1. Another transfer! UNLV's Joel Ntambwe commits to Texas Tech In his freshman season with UNLV, the 6-foot-9, 210-pound Ntambwe averaged 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 24 minutes per game. Ntambwe hails from Kinshasa of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but played high school basketball in the U.S. During his senior season at Aspire Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, Ntambwe averaged 13.3 points on 48.3% shooting.
  2. Tech wins 10-3, so we'll see WVU again later this afternoon.
  3. Actually, D1 Baseball said 11:30, but it's on now. I guess they started 45 minutes or so after the TCU-Baylor resumed game.
  4. Evidently Tech is the first one seed to make the semifinals of this tournament since 2014.
  5. There's serious money to be made in scamming Trump supporters. Good on her.
  6. I stopped watching ESPN years ago, save for live game broadcasts, and even then I often watch with no sound. Their talking head shows are just horrifically bad and annoying, regardless of what they're talking about.
  7. Evidently. He's slowly carving out his niche as the Jeff Fisher of college OCs.
  8. 3rd Big 12 championship in 4 years for Tech baseball.
  9. Tyreek Smith commits to Tech "Class of 2019 power forward Tyreek Smith announced on Twitter that he has committed to Chris Beard and the Texas Tech Basketball team. Smith played at Trinity Christian in Cedar Hills, Texas and was previously committed to Texas A&M. Rivals had Smith rated as a four star recruit and the 101st best prospect nationally".
  10. It seems BU-OSU has been cancelled, so Tech wins the league with a win and Baylor wins the league if Tech loses. OSU can't do better than 3rd.
  11. Not worth mentioning what those might be, though?
  12. lol at the second picture. Bolton looks like a homicidal cowboy poet.
  13. Texas Tech basketball: Top assistant Mark Adams not headed to NBA
  14. Breaking news: Mark Adams is not taking the Bulls asst. job.
  15. Well, what's hard to pull off is continually doing that and still getting to start major league baseball games.
  16. Considering that it took Jay 15 years to get over the hump at Villanova, Beard will have about 12 more years at Tech before he's "ripe".
  17. It's looking pretty green there, at least by Lubbock standards.
  18. You cited him above as a former player who is "working out well" as a college coach.
  19. Wasn't Avery Johnson was an NBA head coach for 7 years before he went to Bama?
  20. I'm not trying to make the argument that this type of candidate can never work out, by the way; it's just these names tend to come up most often when schools looking for a new HC are desperate and/or have no obvious options.
