  1. It's been repeated so often. But bone bruises can take longer to heal than a fracture in some instances. Bone bruise is a perfectly acceptable reason to be out this long. They take forever to heal, especially when you get hit in the same spot twice in such close time.
  2. Fuck Philly and their fans. Its fucking absurd to me that anyone would want to be those dipshits. It's a fucking child's game that adults get to play. Bregman has done nothing but good things to and for the city of Houston. LMJ is injury prone but is a very good guy who does good things for the city as well. This isn't some third world country where we have nothing else going for us in life but to wrap ourselves so much into sports that we kill players when they inevitably fail like every player does.
  3. Every time. Do you want to "No. But if you want me to all you have to do is ask". I don't at all get why women can't learn behaviors. It's really not that hard to talk accurately. Why would you want to piss me off when you are ultimately asking me for a favor? And then act like I should be the one that changes when you are the one that wants something?
  4. Yeah, the no shower thing is probably pretty close to a deal breaker. I have a real issue with smell lol Her talking would actually make it funny and more fun. Especially if she starts quoting American Pie lines
  5. I'd be in the "fuck that" category. Loperfido is worth more than that to the Astros IMO. If he was real Alonso right now it would be higher, but he's not. And he's a FA after this year
  6. I'm a man, it's 100K, any of them? Honey Boo Boo's mom? I don't give a shit for 100K provided she's taken a shower. And neither do any of the rest of you
  7. Wouldn't they be boning her? Or is she that skinny again?
  8. You do you. If you want to be a miserable person that's your choice. And I'm guessing Dee Kennedy isn't exactly breaking the bank with NIL.
  9. It means almost more. Players read message boards, they read twitter. They see how fan bases treat their players. And frankly it isn't of any value even if they didn't. Shitting on an 18-22 year old for baseball choices is just sad and unnecessary. Especially when they just played ball and didn't talk shit about the university. Saying he did a bad job on a play, the season, etc is valid criticism. Mocking his choice to leave, especially considering it's possible it wasn't really his choice, or saying he sucked anyway and good riddance, is "I don't have good things in my life" levels of sad. We don't have to act like aggy does when their feels get hurt is the bottom line to me. Makes me sick watching people go after a kid because they made a choice that was probably in their best interest of them and their family. Again, especially when they have said a negative word about Texas.
  10. I have never understood bad mouthing what are essentially still kids. Especially in this era of the portal. Wish him well, and move on. Why do we have to shit talk him on the way out? He had reasons to leave, probably was nonplussed given JS history and likely didn't want to play for him. There is nothing wrong with that. We have no idea what he'll turn out to be and a bad freshman season only means something about 50% of the time. Kid was a Longhorn, just leave it at best of luck kid.
  11. Dana Brown is good at his job. Possibly even very good. He just doesn't have the power he should. I am still holding out hope that it changes. The narrative around her that Brown sucks is completely silly. Same with Click even though I was not as high on him overall. Some of y'all expect Brown to commit career suicide and say Crane is meddling. Literally no GM would do that in the MLB. It would be completely stupid. Dana know the other teams around the league know what's going on, so what's the point?
  12. I just got back from Japan. Only had 2 toilets the entire trip without bidets. I don't know why America can't get their act together on this. I feel like if we can get Buccees to start the move it will take off like wildfire. It inspired me to add another one to the house
  13. 100% my wife. My favorite is, when I think about something and go to look up the answer "Why do you have to know the answer to everything". Why the fuck wouldn't you learn the answer if you can?????
  14. How was that ball hit right to Abreu's glove called a double last night? It should have been an error. Every competent first baseman in the league knocks that ball down at least. And over half of them make the play outright every time, another quarter most of the time. I've been a sunshine pumper and won't stop, because this team gave me everything I ever dreamed of the last 7 years. And the Abreu signing was a valid one given every bit of data we had at the time. The third year was just cost of doing business. But sometimes you have to take your sunk cost and move on. Playing him in the field is fucking absurd. He wasn't a good 1B before he got old and slow. Singleton definitely knocks that ball down. Yuli even today makes the play and could have ended the inning.
  15. I think this is a common misconception of women (in general, of course not all). Yes, most of us would talk to our male co-worker that way and pretty much all of us would and will talk to our buddy that way. It's how many men communicate. Quick, to the point. If I don't like it I say so, if I don't understand I'll clarify. Doesn't require any feeling or negative on my part and usually isn't taken that way by my friend either. Now if it's a woman I will use my context clues more with a co-worker and probably mess with a female friend about getting to the point quicker. My wife and I just joke with each other. She knows she's droning on with info I don't need and if I'm in a hurry I tell her, if not I will joke with her about it. And vice versa when she wants to hear more info about a story I got to the point on quickly.
  16. It really shouldn't take that long to retrofit it with the new stuff as long as the mounting points for items aren't rusted out. Enjoy the project!
  17. I love all the "they should bunt" stuff. Yes, in 1995 they should have. No one in the MLB consistently bunts anymore. It's fucking hard and the harder pitchers throw the harder it gets. The math often isn't there for it either, especially when you have the heart of your order up.
  18. This is just not true. Maldy was shook off too. And yes he would argue, but he got shook off again after on multiple times too. Young catchers have to learn they are in charge of the game plan and the pitcher, unless they are Verlander or something does what you tell them. Framber has a terrible history with results after shake offs
  19. Or that he threw him a pitch with zero movement down the middle
  20. On the one hand you're not wrong. On the other, it's not your 38MM that's being lit on fire if you do. If they think they saw something in him and he can contribute then I have to respect the professional org evaluators. Now did they see enough to put him in the starting lineup? Or did anyone in the org say he would be in the starting lineup? I haven't seen that if so
  21. He's a grown adult that knows this is a business. I didn't like it because of the optics, but I don't think it's going to be a deal breaker in the end.
  22. I think if we don't it will be because he didn't want to, not because the Astros didn't give me a good number
  23. Hot take, but the Astros are going to resign Tucker, he's the first guy we'll have hit the market that's a no brainer to do so with. He also hits the counting stats Bagwell is fond of as well as the advanced nerd ones he's not. So he does what everyone in the front office likes on some level. 10-340 will be a no brainer with a higher first year trailing down to the end.
