  1. Finish what off? That's like 1 spoonfull
  2. 1. Karl Malone 2. John Stockton 3. Danny Ainge 4. Derek Fisher 5. Lambieer Special mention to Jason Kidd because he's a piece of shit
  3. No shit, I'm a Rockets fan, and that's a true WTF? Dirk is absolutely top 50, probably top 25 player of all time.
  4. So you don't know what you're talking about with the Rockets. Cool, that's all you had to say Twice? He banged his head really freaking hard on the ground in both the SA series last year and the Utah series this year, then immediately followed with clunkers. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Now last year I don't actually think it was the problem. This year I really do. He was just off, not terrible, not missing by much just not sharp.
  5. So let me make sure I understand your point here. So your opinion is that the team that just had a top 11 (and before the last 10 games of the season was top 5 and at one point number 1 and still less than 1 point off first) offensive efficiency rating of all time doesn't run an offense? Really? While it's not a typical offense or one you are used to seeing, it's definitely a run offense set to take advantage of mismatches and static pass out points. One that lulls teams to sleep and then runs backdoor cuts to eat you alive as soon as you get complacent. What GSW runs is beautiful, it also takes tons and tons of energy and effort every single possession (except the ones they quickly jack a 3 up just like the Rockets do). While GSW may very well win this series, it's going to be a great one and a lot of fun to watch.
  6. Not quite... Phil joined after Pippen and Jordan were already in place, Grant, Paxson, Cartwright, Hodges, were there too. They had finished 52-35 and then had a bit of a down year at 47-35 but made the conference finals the year before he came and lost to a better Pistons team. It was a good team already on it's way to being a great team. Part of being a good coach is choosing good situations. But Phil did not build the Bulls, not even close. Edit: Phil was an assistant on that team, so maybe you are saying he helped build it that way? But it doesn't appear he had any particular say in the Pippen trade and everyone takes Jordan there (though it could be argued everyone takes him at 2 also, and they didn't)
  7. I can't get past thinking that Harden has a mild or more concussion. He makes careless passes all the time, but he just looked majorly off. Especially in the second half
  8. I'll be there with my sons today. Going to be a blast!
  9. It is But that said. Most of it from my end was really said sarcastically/in jest. I wasn't mad or upset just dumbfounded
  10. What is it about needing your validation, but not respecting what you say when you say it?? Two occurrences last night: First: Kid comes to my bathroom to use our spa tub because she said he could. I get it going and realize that the handle cartridge is leaking and so I tell him he can't use it because it will pour water everywhere. Kid is fine with it and understands, leaves to go upstairs to his own shower. She runs into the bathroom 30 seconds later, yes runs Her: Why won't you let him use it? Me: I'm the one that tried to turn it on for him, what do you mean? It's not working, the cartridge is bad like it was on your sink a few months ago Her: So you saw a leak? (proceeding to turn the bath on anyway) I don't see a leak Me: It's where all that water that is pouring on your leg right now is... Her: That's not that big a deal (Her leg is literally soaked with water) Me: So now you see the leak at least and I'm not too incompetent to determine if there is one or isn't? Her: Tone Me: And, that's only a little bit of water because it's been on for 10 seconds and it takes multiple minutes to fill the tub. There will be a big puddle if your run a full bath and why on earth does he need to take a bath in our bathroom at 9PM after his bedtime?? Second: Me two weeks ago: I want to go see Infinity Wars the first Friday it is out Her: I have friends coming over and want to see it too Me: You have confirmed people coming over? Her: Well we said we might do it Me: Well check and make sure please because the boys and I both want to go Her: Ok Last night happens Her: Did you get tickets for the movie? Me: No, you had people coming over, why would I have? Her: Well they decided that night when I asked them that it wasn't a good night Me: WTF? Seriously, so you knew two weeks ago and didn't say anything? Tickets are going to be sold out now Her: Let's see if we can still go Me, after 15 minutes of looking (while she sees me doing so): The only time that would work that isn't the front row is 8:25 and there is only the back row open Her: I see a 6, a 7, I see all kinds of showings, let's just go to one of those instead. I don't want to be out that late Me: Really? Her: What? I just don't want to be out that late Me: That's not the issue. The issue is that I just told you this was the ONLY time available that worked. Why would you assume the others ARE available? Her: Well I see them. Me: WTF. Clearly I've looked at those and deemed them untenable to our situation. Did you look and see if tickets were actually available? Her: Well no, but they show the times... Me: I'm going to just stop talking to you for a few...
  11. My favorite part of that home run? Even the arbiter of unwritten rules watched that ball. The fun time Astros have officially rubbed off on him
  12. Your point? 3 of those games were before Christmas, and the jazz are playing some tremendous ball. This is a series where luc guarding Mitchell would be a huge decider if Houston cruises or Utah makes it ugly enough to be a real threat I'm not sure how you could possibly not see my point. Even though it really wasn't intended to be counter to yours. More "impressive" that the Jazz have played well, but the Rockets still beat the shit out of them when they played them. INCLUDING when they were hot. And since Dec 31st standings, Rockets 40-8 Toronto 35-13 Utah 32-13 Portland 31-16 GS 29-16 Indiana 29-17 New Orleans 29-18 They were the third best record, but lost 5 more games over that period and won 8 less than the Rockets. And 3 of those Rockets losses were when they had already wrapped up 1st and it didn't matter. So what is your point? That the Rockets might not sweep them? It can't be a thought that it's even remotely likely that the Jazz win or even take it to 7
  13. And the Rockets beat them 4-0 this season by 27, 11, 21 & 11
  14. The kid has a .752 OPS with 1 HR, 9 RBIs and 16 Ks in 18 games in AAA. He's scuffling a bit right now. Let's let him get right first
  15. Kids need to learn life skills
  16. Good on him for letting the kid finish THIS time
  17. Dee Gordon takes little league bench kid style routes to balls in center
  18. Never stop being you Tony
  19. It works, the call center was just closed that day for some reason after that time
  20. Yeah, no shit. I actually get pissed now when shirts don't come in dry-fit style. Cotton shirts suck. Also, I'm a man, I'm 40
  21. No doubt, just sick of the conversation and narrative that shows how lazy some of these guys are.
  22. But that means Harden isn't the MVP because the team can occasionally play well when he's not in (which is idiotic). Oh and he can't play defense (which has been repeatedly proven false this year). And did I forget LeBron has done more with less (which neglects that he whined and didn't play with any heart at all until after the all star break even though he's the one that architect-ed that that team through alienating Kyrie and begging old broken players to play with him)?
  23. That 3rd strike on Fisher was freaking brutal. It might not have even been in between the lines much less over the plate
  24. 21 and 12 for Green. That is damn impressive
