  1. Cool, you have an opinion too. If you think Bill Russell is better than Kareem, Wilt, Shaq, Dream, Malone, Giannis or Robinson then I don't know what to tell you. Those guys would eat him up 100 times out of 100. That's guys from multiple eras and one that actually did.
  2. Correct? I think you're getting the point. Genuinely don't care if people agree with me. I'm content in my belief and that's all any of us have because we don't actually know. But Wilt had half the team and owned Bill. You can pull some stats up that make you think it was closer, but it just wasn't. Rasheed is the perfect comparison, they had very similar games. Y'all are underrating the hell out of Wallace much more than I'm underrating Bill. Reading comprehension man, that's not what I said. I said I have to look and see what those guys skills were and what type of game they had. Do you really think George Mikan could hang with the top 200 guys in 2023? Wilt absolutely could play in today's era. So could Oscar Robertson and a number of guys. Russell was great, and I have him in the top 20, but this "he's the greatest center of all time, or top 5 all time player" is fucking laughable.
  3. Google Calendars all day. Perfect tool for me. And iphone has a google calendar app so you don't need to use the native one. I think the app works very well, but yes I do 95% on my computer.
  4. I will never understand why guys will allow this to happen to themselves. Get a calendar, agree with your wife to put all events there, and do the same for your stuff. There is zero excuse and you don't have to look bad if you forgot, just look each day for 8 seconds at it. Then if it's not on the calendar you have an amazing out. My wife is the one that does this to me, and having the calendar makes my life so much easier. I've gotten out of going to all kinds of stuff because it wasn't on the calendar and my plans were.
  5. That's a lot of jumping to conclusions, but have fun. And I've always done that but you don't have to. That's my criteria. Do I think a guy's game would change given like conditions. I think Russel, with every advantage of today is Rasheed Wallace. You don't have to agree, but my belief is educated and has basis behind it. I think Wilt gets even better in today's game. Wouldn't have the outlandish statistics, but would still dominate. And no Bob Pettit isn't better than Tim Duncan. There you go
  6. And if you put Rasheed directly in his shoes he does the majority of that except he's probably still a dick head. As a basketball player they are a lot more similar than you are stating. In fact, basically the same guy IMO. As a person, obviously that's where the conversation stops. Bill Russell would not be a "very good" player in this era or the Jordan era or the era before that. He just wouldn't be. Yes he won 11 rings, he also had 6 other Hall of Famers and a Hall of Fame coach. He also played in an era with 8 teams for a lot of that. And in an era when most teams had 1 or 2 black players, or even none. Sorry, Russell is easily the most overrated player in NBA history. Still a solid guy that cared about people and tried to make a difference. Doesn't make him a guy that should be considered top 10 all time. It's all opinion, and that's mine.
  7. Pretty damn accurate one at that. Tell me where I'm wrong
  8. You beat me too it. With all due respect, 3.1 mm on a one year arbitration deal is about as benign a contract as exists. Spending 40mm a year for 10 years on a guy that falls apart in year 3 is how you kill a dynasty. Paying a guy 3mm does nothing to anything
  9. I think it's that and how bad he was the year prior. He was a solid utility player last year that played great defense. Those guys don't typically have repeat years like that. But 3.1mm is nothing, and if that's hampering our budget then it just is what it is. You can't go buy a better player on the market for 3.1MM
  10. The creme de la creme of it is fuck to duck. But the most annoying is iOS never knowing if I mean well or we'll. The grammar context is easily there, they do it properly with so many words.
  11. Not quite done yet, still needs another coat of paint and grouting of the tile, but the mantle is built and tile is up! Reminder I'm squaring off the right and replacing the doors with shaker ones later on, so the look will be complete then. Also going to paint my frame for the frame tv a better gold. The sand gold just doesn't work Build done: First coat of paint: Second coat of paint:
  12. Team probably directly lobbied for that day off in scenic Cincinnati. Get some shitty chili and chill
  13. Well isn't that nice, my wife doesn't return shit. She says she will but it's always on me. Frankly I don't care, it gets done, but if I didn't do it, it wouldn't. But I actually am a believer in the buy both possible sizes if I can't try it on in person and return the one that doesn't fit.
  14. Luckily I have zero ego when it comes to weight lifting. I'm tall with long arms and bad knees. I just want to get rid of this fat blob I have left and put on some lean muscle. I have zero need to be Arnold or even Ryan Reynolds. I just don't want to be fat anymore And stretching is my biggest issue of all issues. I have to figure out how to get that in. It's probably the most important thing I can do for my joints and sadly I just haven't done it for a very long time
  15. I need a good free weights workout plan that's reasonable. I have lifted a bunch in my life, but it's been a good while. I'm also old (46) and have had 6 knee surgeries, so have to be careful. Anyone have something they like? (I'm going back to read the thread to see what's been said so far, just haven't had time to do it)
  16. 1. Jordan 2. Lebron 3. Kareem 4. Wilt - He's the only one of the much older era of ball that had any chance in today's NBA. He was a better version of Giannis without the nutrition and workout routines of today. 5. Kobe 6. Magic 7. Bird - Hated him growing up, he's still awesome 8. Hakeem - Better at every skill but dunking than Shaq 9. Shaq - Love the guy, but he has zero excuse not to be number 1 on this list, the fact he isn't means we never saw his absolute best. And he said Hakeem was better himself 10. Duncan I don't put current guys except Lebron in. I'll weight Durant and Steph's careers after they are done, they would probably be my 11/12 right now Get the fuck out of here with anyone saying Russell. He's Rasheed Wallace, sorry not sorry
  17. The wall stud system should be fine. I think the footprint in a bedroom for that would just be way too much
  18. was 306 last year, down to 231. I've done it mostly diet and some cardio. Time to add weights in. Started TRT and feels like a complete waste if I don't
  19. I'd go 35 inches and make sure it spans 3 studs. Should help with the sheer force and never be a problem. 2 studs is probably fine, but 3 would be better
  20. He hates sand... it gets everywhere
  21. All fair entries. I meant to say "most infuriating in that same vein of action". Definitely some crazier stuff than "we" haha
  22. It may be the most infuriating thing women do. I'm sure some men do too, but just hasn't been something I've seen much. The only thing that trumps this is "we should do x" when she means "I need you to do x". Mostly she catches herself now because she knows she's about to get made fun of.
  23. You could also just say you are her. I mean, what are they going to say "you don't sound like a woman"? Then just feign outrage, and get the info lol
  24. Login to her email and send it for her? I have to do that with my wife. She got "give me your login info or do it yourself, there isn't a third door". I said it respectfully, but meant it. Constantly had issues like that but no longer. When we first got together I found out she was paying $10K for house insurance, so I set her up with a broker. Got it to $2800. Then found out a year later she never canceled the first, so was now paying $12,800 for it. I dialed the number with her next to me, had her add me as a user. Then took care of it. We got lucky that the second insurance was actually through the same company, so they should have done it proactively. Got a sweet $10K check back. She was also subscribed to Netflix twice, was paying 4 times what was needed for car insurance. I used to get pissed, but had to realize she's amazing at some things, but this just isn't one of them. And I am good at it, so it's my thing now, and she lets me have full control over it for that reason.
  25. It pisses me off, I agree. That's why I'm going to square it off instead so it looks more cohesive. Same reason for the shaker doors
