  1. Yeah, I've replaced that once already, won't do it again.
  2. I was in Boulder last weekend for a wedding and it was hot enough to cancel a friends return flight from DIA due to the density altitude. Think it was 98 that day.
  3. His username 1000% checks out.
  4. I pay $70 flat for Gigabit. Price has not changed since I signed up over 5 years ago. Google Fiber.
  5. It was just a half day I think. We were poor just out of college kids, so no real amenities. Think Southwest Airlines.
  6. The historical sites, the food, the booze. We slept 3 hours each nite because there was so much to do. Do everything.
  7. Edinburgh is one of my fav cities on the planet. I wish we would have stayed there longer and London shorter. nothing against London, that’s just how much I enjoyed Edinburgh. We did the train from London and saw the countryside which was really enjoyable as well.
  8. My weather station only got to 108, but the feels like was 117. Humidity was 40% edit to add, it was 80% 3 hours prior. Heat really knocked it down.
  9. This was where we stayed this time. Really cool place, but with a two year old, all the stairs and art were a constant battle.
  10. Locals next to us bitched at the heat this last week. 89-92. I showed them my weather station in Austin at 108 each day. They agreed that 92 was ok. seabreeze makes all the difference.
  11. So we had the sand bag anchors on all 4 corners. This has been our solution for the last 5 years and never had an issue. The difference this time, the tent we lost was a 10x15, so it had much less support up top, and that is the point that failed. Bent up at the top, then sheared some of the connections as it was collapsing. It never moved from our spot. A second 10x10 that we have used for years had no issues.
  12. Outflow blew through about an hour ago, lost one of our pop ups. Looks like we were not the only ones based on all the mangled mess we saw up and down the beach.
  13. Been surrounded by aggies all week, so what’s one more dumbshit.
  14. We are just far enough not to be inundated with folks congregating around it (last two years we have stayed at houses on either side) but still close enough to have a 3 minute walk from our beach setup for a turbo. Thursday is our last day. Look for the orange 80 foot long octo-kite (and possibly up to 4 other kites) and the Texas flag Academy tent with a Horns, Tech, and TxSt flags flying. I’ll be the one chasing the two year old that is obsessed with the water.
  15. Hazy today. But good wind for the kites.
  16. We are between 17-19
  17. One morning an I’m already exhausted. Thank god for nap time.
  18. Nice, if you see the 80 foot long octo kite, that is us.
  19. This is good to hear. We are doing it date night and not the last big family meal due to lack of kids menu options.
  20. Sea Ranch has always been the fancy seafood place. We usually go on the last night. Apparently there is a new place, F&B and the reviews seem good. The wife and I are taking advantage of the grandparents one night and the plan is to try it out, I'll let you know. When are you headed down?
  21. Ceviche Ceviche for lunch. We leave tomorrow. I'm getting nothing done at work today.
  22. Our pediatrician told us once you tested positive, there was no point to continue testing, as you could test positive for more than a month despite not being able to spread. If no symptoms after 5 days from symptom onset, you can end isolation, but still wear mask until day 10 from symptom onset. After day 10, you can start licking doorknobs. This is what we followed.
