  1. Hey guys, looking for recs. Been pretty happy with my carry piece for the last few years, but with working from home looking more permanent, I find myself not carrying my compact 1911 with me as often. So I’d like to add something even smaller and more compact for those trips around the block with the dog. Last time I looked at these small subcompacts, I somewhat liked the P238, but not enough to acquire one. I see since I last looked (maybe 10 years ago) there are quite a few more options on the market. all that said, what do y’all like these days? What should I be looking at and what should I steer clear from?
  2. This is concerning. Wife and I got ours on 2/1. Has anyone that has gotten theirs on 2/1 or after gotten an email from FHS?
  3. The non-interactive map was not updated on the operational status update page, and I think that is what folks were looking at.
  4. Make sure you are looking at the boil water notice map link and not the map that is on the operation status page. https://austinwater.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=78f53b392a0a4eb2869b0e9fe127c92c Showing all green for me.
  5. Good to know things haven’t changed…
  6. At least your phone is dry?
  7. Sup treebeard. Surly plastic navy update. This year fucking sucked. 1 trip in 12 months. SnowDog does some drive by to talk chili once every 6 months or to yell at truckers on the trucking thread, otherwise is MIA (who also has been MIA from plastic navy trips). Fuck.
  8. Just went and turned mine on at the street in 78748, and nothing. Turned it back off, will try again later.
  9. Hey neighbor. Please let me know if you do. I’m tired of boiling snow for the shitters.
  10. Anyone in southwest Austin gotten water back? I shut mine off at the curb yesterday so can’t test and am curious.
  11. And just like that we are off. Wife has a pretty decent theory actually. We had power 11-6. We are very close to the H‑E‑B at Slaughter and Manchaca which was open 12-5. Coincidence?
  12. South Austin checking in with Power since 11 after no power for nearly 36. We are absolutely stunned we have had this much time, looking at the outage map, my neighbor behind me is still out. I’m sure we will be the first to lose tonight, but the gas furnace has us to 70 and we put the emergency insulation back up on every window again about an hour ago to help trap heat (blankets, unused coach cushions, every throw pillow in the house). Was able to get out and secure at least two more days of fire wood, so we are ready to go. We were loading the car this morning when power came back on. Had this happened last year, the wife and I would just tough it out under blankets, but the 7 month old who just sprouted his first tooth yesterday is making in interesting.
  13. Sweet Thomas Edison, we ha e power in 78748 for the first Tim in almost 36 hours. Unplugged everything but the fans for the gas heater. Get me to 68 and I can go another couple days.
  14. Consider yourself lucky, been out for an hour and a half in South Austin.
  15. Yeah, my dad has bought and managed a fleet of F150’s for the last 15 years out in Midland/Odessa (has to be around 100 at this point). He has personally driven 5-6 well over 150k miles with no issues, and that is on all drivetrains. It’s the most sold vehicle in the US, so of course there will be issues. I actually just bought a 2016 with the V8 last month. I went with the V8 over the turbo 6’s because I tend to keep and work on my own vehicles until the wheels fall off, so I went with something naturally aspirated because my dumb ass understands it better. We have 5 F150’s ranging from 2014 to 2020 in my extended family right now. Great trucks. Will it still work after being in the ocean or parked on the top of an imploded high rise? Not a chance, but I have no qualms about my purchase.
  16. This is good to hear, as I ordered it yesterday. also, nice little hack for y’all, if your order the three parts that constitute the mask separately on Amazon, you can save about half the cost of any cpap supply website.
  17. Got my first last Monday at Kelly Reeves. They mentioned we would get an email in the next week with the follow up appointment but the wife an I have heard nothing yet. Anyone that has gotten their shots in Wilco already care to share how long it took you to get that email?
  18. Yeah, I’m here. Hankook AT’s my ass.
  19. Yeah, this should have happened months ago
  20. In my old Tacoma (2011) traction control was still on in 4Hi, but it could be disabled by a button on the dash. I never needed 4Lo, so I couldn't tell you if it did. My new F150 I have not had the need for 4WD yet.
  21. So we can’t remove those posts? I mean I definitely regret watching it the first time around
  22. Here is the first link, I click and get a no permissions error https://www.surlyhorns.com/board/index.php?/topic/18857-3-dead-over-snow-shoveling-dispute/&do=getLastComment
