  1. 34 degrees? fucking jealous. Near midnight here and 75 with 90% humidity. Pack some of that shit in the back and bring it to Austin. At the governor speed limit please.
  2. you are still new. Once it clicks, it is very hard to go back to the button. Took about a week for me.
  3. I'd look for an iPad Air or iPad Air 2. I'd guess those could be had for cheap these days. The iPad (6th Gen) may be had the cheap as well, as they start new at $249.

https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?site_no=08171400 You can see mean, median there. 200 is normal, I have run down to just above 100, and have run 976 before. It was 300 yesterday, and was awesome. Not high enough where all the rapids are dead flat, but you are not hitting the bottom either.
  6. If you get caught with it in the airport, they just toss it. If sheriffs deputy Buster McGee pulls you over just for driving south through Dallam county and searches you, he gets a hard on and you’re going to jail. I’ll keep taking my chances at the airport. Fuck bored county cops in the panhandle.

Hey fuckers, I’m putting out the flotilla beacon. Been too long. I’m gonna run the San Marcos this Saturday at 10 AM at Spencers in Martindale if anyone wants to join on short notice. Am also planning a larger float the next Saturday (May 4th) for the same stretch of river if anyone is interested. Post here/shoot me a PM. All are welcome, Spencers rents boats if you dont have one, we are halfway decent human beings. Come one come all. Seriously though, this was one of the best groups at the old site. Anyone who is close should come join.
  8. Got my Mantis from Kammock last week. Only set it up once, but holy shit, set up is so much easier than my previous setup. Not sure when I'm going to have a chance to use it, but I'll take pics next time I get it set up.
  9. I have only ever done the Lighthouse, but we enjoyed it.
  10. That was a fun half inning!
  11. Yeah, we were very lucky. We didn't think she was going to get past 16, so my folks got a black lab, Lady, and it completely revitalized the Khakster. No way was she gonna let that little shit head get all the attention. I had not lived with her for 13 years, and only got to see her twice a year or so, but she always greeted you with the waggiest of tails. Even the last two years, when she was half blind and deaf, if she got a wiff of you, it was a gallup to see you for ear scratches. goddamnit
  12. My Mom's dog Khaki crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. She was 18. Mix of Lab and Chesapeake Bay. Sweetest dog I ever did know. My youngest brother is going to be devastated. He was 2 when we got her. Fucking shit this sucks.
  13. And of course the king scoops me as I’m typing that out...
  14. Long time listener, first time caller (usually cause I’m too drunk to take pics). Wife is away, so H-E-B last chance sirloin (1.98), bolilo. wiz, provolone, leftover mushrooms and onions, and grilled pickled japs and peperocinis from the fridge/pantry. Not in the pic, an old overholt old fashioned (bud light for later).
  15. You heard a Spectrum ad. They failed in Louisville, but they are not pulling out of any other markets. They continue to expand in Austin. They are $25-50 a month cheaper than any alternative at my place in south Austin, and I've never had to reset my box, or do any sort of trouble shooting due to slowdowns in the 3 years I have had them. It's literally the exact opposite of every other ISP experience I have ever had.
  16. You need to make sure you get the latest info about Zion direct from the source. I follow their social media accounts, and this winter has hit them really hard. I think one of the roads into the park (the one that is direct from Zion to Bryce) is closed for repairs for a while. Landslide, or washout, I don't remember. Also, there was a huge rock fall yesterday I think that closed access to a bunch of popular trails. This may cause a crazy crowded par to be a complete cluster, and you may not get to see some of the things you want to see. That said, that canyon may as well be the garden of eden, and is one of my favorite places on the planet, so even a fucked up experience, should be great. Hike Angels Landing if you get a chance. Wake your ass up and do it first thing, before it gets crowded. You need to be on the first bus. @Anton Chigurh is the resident Utah expert. His rec's were golden on my last trip to that area. We only spent one day in Bryce, it was cool, but it paled in comparison to Zion for me. Still have not done the GC except for a drive by, so can't help there, but if you get a chance to to horseshoe bend up near page, we really enjoyed it at sunset. Find a slot canyon like Antelope canyon too.
  17. Radarscope on iOS/Mac. GRLevelx on Win.
  18. We bought off of stub hub cheap. Also wood posted a few other sites in the cota thread Yeah, the tick pick stuff is $100 a seat for Sunday. Stubhub chEapest is $70.
  19. Still looking for a GA for tomorrow.
  20. Has it always been $69 just for Sunday? that seems high compare to years past. Or am I just mis-remembering?
  21. Anyone have an extra they want to get rid of? I really only need a GA, but if you have an extra seat, and want to sell it to someone who will never sit in it, just use to get in the gate, here is your chance. I'm in South Austin, but can meet you at a reasonable distance.
  22. Anyone have a spare ticket for Sunday? Really just need a GA. Nearly $85 bucks after fees buying from the ticket office, trying to save some cash.
