  1. Anyone got tickets for Sunday? I know @pepper brooks was gonna let me know after Saturday, jus trying to hedge my bets. I need two.
  2. Thermoworks just announced a thermapen with IR built in. And now I'm probably gonna buy my 5th Thermoworks product. https://www.thermoworks.com/Thermapen-IR
  3. I'd be interested in those tickets for Sunday.
  4. I don't think I have seen a time since Apex launched that Fortnite has had more viewers on Twitch than Apex. It will be interesting to see if they can keep interest, but right now, it is eating Fortnites lunch. Cross play is the biggest thing it is missing right now.
  5. Heh, I wouldn't doubt it, I imagine there are a few members from this area.
  6. So I don't ever get on nextdoor, but I got a weird email notification, so I logged in for the first time in forever. Here is a screenshot of what piqued my interest: So that is interesting, so down the rabbit hole I go, here are the highlights...
  7. If you are a fan of sours, and are going to be in Tilamook, stop by de Garde. Cool little tap room, and great beer.
  8. It was an Amazon deal of the day, so no idea on brand
  9. If any of you were thinking about that Kammock setup, use my link to purchase, I get a little back, then share your link. https://3e5efb15.kckb.st
  10. Yeah, the Jungle nest is comparable to my cheap-o. Its ok, but not perfect. The main problem is the bug net solutions for those, they droop and get in your way, I like how the Kammock has the lines down to the tarp stakes to keep it open. Also, you are spot on with most about set up, and that is what excites me the most about this one. They show set up is crazy quick. Either way, my cheap-o is about used up, so I went ahead and backed.
  11. Link thoughts on this from you hammock campers? I’ve been drooling over a Hennessey for a few years, but this looks easier to set up. I have a cheap amazon hammock right now with an integrated bug net, but it is not near as comfy as my regular eno.
  12. Going to visit friends next weekend (22nd) in Seattle, and they currently have no power due to Winter storm Whoseits, and the havoc it has/is wreaking up in the PNW. Looking at the 10-day doesn't give me lots of confidence about much changing, but I am also very unfamiliar with the weather up there. Thoughts? Obviously if they still don't have power by then, we will get a hotel. Have a rental car right now, but its unlikely its AWD, do I need to request one with? My wife is already freaking out about how many bags she's gonna have to check with winter clothes.
  13. We spent a week in Oregon this last October. Flew in to Portland, camped our way down the coast to RWNP, up and over to CL, back to Mt Hood, the CRG, and MSH. Here is a cross post from the camping thread
  14. My dad and brother each got one for Xmas. The shipping boxes were fantastic.
  15. I actually went to REI to buy the precip. Ended up walking out with an REI branded Ranier. Was a bit cheaper, had all the same features the precip, and fit me a little better. Also, I was burnt orange.
  16. There is a lift gate, not sure about the adjustable lift rods though.
  17. http://www.thedrive.com/news/26381/this-mustang-inspired-ford-f-150-fastback-is-real-and-yes-you-can-buy-it?fbclid=IwAR3WPS6PvS-KW_y5-1TJO-KCt8E_DPIxQekyFZDS5MGMfkUAGk0N05-Ms6Y
  18. Lubbock is 3202. The Panhandle might as well be Canada for most Texans.
  19. Anyone got a good rain jacket rec? I've always had cheapies, and my last one just bit the dust this morning. Would like something that can be layered over warmer things when needed.
  20. Got any Seafood recs? Can't miss Asian places?
