First time seeing Metallica was about 3 weeks earlier in Fort Worth, opening for Ozzy:

The Godz opened that Bronco Bowl show. They were a 70s rock band from....Ohio? I remember vocally hating them and being told to shut up by a grizzled biker dude. I shut up. In any case, I wonder how they got on that tour.

Nice. Was that the Ride the Lightning tour? Who opened?
  5. Do I need to wear pants to El Che, or will they supply a cloth for the chair if go Winnie the Pooh style?

No pics because it happened years before cell phones, but I'm going to go ahead and one up you guys:
  7. Heading up next Thursday with my dad. Staying at River North and hitting El Che that night. Cubs afternoon game on Friday. Need a rec for casual Italian that night. Going to Milwaukee Saturday morning for the Brewers game. It's a bit of a whirlwind trip, but we haven't had a chance to catch games out of town for years.
  8. Have any of you Austin guys checked out Void Witch?

  10. Through 8 with 107 pitches
  11. Everyone knows you don't pitch to Jared Triolo.
  12. Nats just couldn't cease making outs.
  13. 103 through 8. His HS is about 2 miles from me.
  14. I have yet to see a Schloss. 65-0?
  15. Hard to beat this classic:
  16. Don't know yet. I bought it about 10 minutes ago.🙂
  17. Most of you will be familiar with this annual publication authored by ScipioTex. As a very casual football fan, I find it invaluable. E-version: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1591653 Hard copy is available at Amazon.
  18. Heavier than Creed and Nickelback?
  19. Did anyone catch Tomb Mold and Horrendous in Austin or Dallas? I went ahead and grabbed a ticket for tomorrow's Atlanta show. We have some pretty cool stuff lined up -Sacramentum/Vimur/Ectovoid next month, Sinister in October, and some bigger shows in the fall as well (Testament/Kreator and Opeth/Tribulation).
  20. More likely Liberty Lunch. I'm not sure Back Room would book Gwar because of the mess. Are we still talking pizza? I liked Gattis on MLK, but always preferred the buffet at Double Dave's because of the pepperoni rolls.
  21. Where does Ruger Riojas fit in?
  22. Pantera's "Walk" would be an improvement. Or not.
