  1. 2-0 Texas after 3 innings. UIW pitcher is not terrible, and they play decent defense.
  2. Keith saying "Warshington" never fails to crack me up.
  3. I'm hoping for the best. Boehm has to stay in the bullpen, as the one (?) reliable arm. What other options are there?
  4. Will that be before next weekend (3/21 - 3/24)?
  5. Ouch. A team OPS of .716 tells me they aren't dropping many warheads on foreheads. Tomorrow's pitchers: PROBABLE PITCHING MATCHUP TUESDAY–Texas RHP Grant Fontenot (0-1. 1.50) vs. UIW LHP Dalton Beck (2-0, 5.40)
  6. If Air Force hits like they usually do, I could see a very high scoring game that Wednesday.
  7. The one major exception I remember was the big guy from Miami last year, who hit an absolute bomb, then just trotted around the bases like he'd done it 30 times before (which he had). Now compare that to their SS who homered in the 2nd inning....
  8. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E Ohio State 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 2 6 1 Cal Poly 0 1 3 0 0 14 1 0 X 19 21 0 From Saturday's Cal Poly game. Can you imagine those guys scoring 14 runs in one inning? Or in a game? Or over a weekend?
  9. They're right about Baylor at 0-3 though.
  10. He couldn't finish 5 innings with a gigantic lead against Vandy, and he wasn't even competitive in Lubbock. So perhaps we have our answer re: Howard as a starter. He's at best someone who can go five and allow 3 ER against an average team.
  11. Justin Eckhardt with the save for Ohio State today, ending Cal Poly's win streak.
  12. Like most guys on this staff, he has to locate his pitches perfectly to be effective against teams with a pulse.
  13. That's about what I expected from Howard today.
  14. O'Dowd hit the ball hard, so there's that.
  15. 2-0 meatball ends the inning. Weak. I think we crush this guy the 2nd time through the lineup.
  16. Time to Tag Heuer? I'll show myself out
  17. Cal Poly's on a 2- game win streak and is leading Ohio State in the 8th.
