  1. This is the first one of these I've seen that doesn't feature a Nissan key fob.
  2. I'm judging you for posting a Young Sheldon gif.
  3. This episode felt like Game of Thrones.
  4. It's been my experience that DHL sucks far, far worse than UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
  5. Perhaps a cover of sorts made out of chain link fencing or similar?
  6. It's entertaining enough, I guess, but the fact that it's hard to tell whether it's supposed to be perfectly obvious that Maeve is the grass, or if they're trying to set it up to be a big twist, or if they're trying to set us up for a big fakeout that she isn't the grass just amounts to annoyingly ambiguous writing. The fact that it requires subtitles is a problem for us. Mrs. Doom invariably falls asleep much more quickly than otherwise when subtitles are involved. We seem to be averaging just 15 minutes of watching this show on a quick night, and 35 on the long side. I'll keep watching because Tom Hardy could make reading the phone book entertaining, but I feel like this show could end up being anything between a solid A and a low F when it's all done.
  7. He's the heir to the Autotrader fortune, so feel free to use the website to peruse vehicles, but make your purchase independent of it.
  8. I hope you're right, but the state, role, and prevalence of, as well as the reliance upon and capacity for misuse, etc., with respect to technology is very different right now than in the previous circumstances you cite, and it will only get harder to overcome from here.
  9. But it's not a talking point. It's a please stop talking about it and find something else to manufacture your outrage over point.
  10. Reminds me of the weird unrealistic appearance of the people on the Dogboy vignettes from MTV's Liquid Television.
  11. Ghost riding the wipe
  12. I would absolutely, 1000% rather hold that shitty paper menu than have to scroll all the way through an equally shitty and buggy interface to get the full scope of a menu. Separately but relatedly, if you're a restaurant that offers carry out but you don't have a paper menu I can keep with the other menus in the junk drawer because "the menu is online" then your food better be really fucking good for me to want to deal with that shit - especially when ordering for more than 2-3 people. Finally, I hate how goddamn difficult it is to just peruse a menu online. I don't want to start an order, etc., etc.
  13. Shouldn't these be a lot smaller? And sold in sets of 6 or 8 or whatever?
  14. Yeah, you know the sport is in a bad place when even Bristol sucks. I didn't watch any of the races live during March Madness (and conference tournaments) so I have been slowly making my way through Martinsville when I eat my lunch home alone. Really glad that the producers chose to deliberately showcase these two characters/creatures. Not a word of acknowledgement from the booth, either.
  15. 3-10 don't even belong in the discussion. Take 5 and Whatchamacallit (sp?) do though.
  16. This is surprisingly fun and catchy.
  17. Living alone in a dumpy apartment complex the year after undergrad, I passed out with a Hungry Man pot pie in the oven (one of those gigantic things that requires an hour or more in the oven - terrible drunk food, obviously) and awoke hours later to my apartment not exactly filling with smoke, but definitely containing smoke. I turned off the oven, opened the doors and windows, and got ready for work. When leaving, I placed the cooled and remarkably solid and hefty carbonized disc on the porch chair of my downstairs neighbors, the same miscreants I had been up all night drinking with. When I came home that evening, I discovered the used-to-be pot pie had been bolted to my steel front door with a sizeable metal screw driven right through the center. Good times.
  18. JNCO - from when the pants were gigantic and the wheels barely larger than bearing-sized.
  19. I'm going to miss this occasional glimpse into unreality.
  20. Fuck with the settings on his chair.
  21. Like a raccoon in a trap.
  22. All the interpersonal drama, general bullshit, and Walking Dead-like decision-making wasn't quite what I was hoping for. They seem to have ample electricity if Ellie is using it for a desktop lava lamp. Are we supposed to remember who Eugene is?
