  1. To be clear, I like the song too. But my initial take on it was a lot closer to a schizophrenic's word salad than the racing thoughts of a panic attack. I look forward to listening to it next time with that explanation in mind.
  2. I don't know where the line is drawn between greyhounds and dogs of normal, mortal speed, but you're never supposed to use any kind of GPS/boundary-crossing shocking collar on a greyhound because they will be so far over the line by the time it starts shocking that it's functionally useless and just amounts to physical and psychological torture. I would discourage the use of a shocking boundary collar anyway, but especially if your dog is on the fast end of the spectrum.
  3. Dropping 100 men from a helicopter at reasonably high altitude onto the gorilla might be the best approach.
  4. Username adequately captures my reaction to the quoted post.
  5. I expect that in her efforts to frame Harry as "the grohhhs," Maeve is eventually going to turn him onto Team Stevenson.
  6. He's currently playing the Jardiance commercial at full volume and alternating between either 2x or 0.25x speeds. It was funny at first. It's not funny any longer.
  7. Out of the blue at dinner tonight, "So when are you guys getting me my hang glider?"
  8. Doomlet and I were at an event today where the current Cannonball record-holding car was also in attendance. Pretty nifty.
  9. For anyone else who watches this with the subtitles turned on, pay close attention to the lyrics of the opening song - it's utterly incomprehensible to me, and I'm curious whether anyone else can make heads or tails of what it's supposed to be about, what it communicates, what general vibe it's supposed to impart, etc.
  10. Haven't been to TMS, but at plenty of other tracks, the general rule is "don't bring something that is undeniably gigantic and conspicuous." If it's not going to be large enough to inconvenience people seated near you, you should be fine. It's hard to tell exactly how big that thing is (awesome how Academy doesn't list the dimensions, not like that's ever important with coolers...) but I would give it a shot. If you get turned away, go to another gate or two until you find the guy who doesn't give a shit. Just in case you fully strike out, I would also leave a smaller cooler in the car. Worst case scenario, you have to go back to the car and return with a few fewer beers.
  11. I appreciate how he has never been in front of anything but the best crowd in the world.
  12. Steve Kerr is a solid counterweight for me.
  13. I've been contemplating this question since the start of this series, and I still have no idea who I hate more between Draymond and Dillon Brooks.
  14. Buy the same product again, leave the package outside in the direct sunlight for a week or two or three, then put it in your office freezer. Just remember not to eat it yourself.
  15. Maeve placed a call to someone named Paul who presumably planted the bomb. I think it's pretty clear that she's trying to get both Conrad and Harry out of the picture and install Eddie as the new boss of the family. Why she wants that is beyond me, but it's also clear that she behaves erratically and without sensible judgment. I'm pretty sure that the montage accompanying the opening credits includes the burning Mercedes, so the explosion came as absolutely no surprise to me. I hate it when shows spoil their own shit.
  16. All you crybabies have to do is fight a gorilla and/or shit your pants and live to talk about it, and voilà, there's your engagement driver.
  17. Something has happened such that the little row of icons that's usually at the bottom of my screen (notifications alerts, etc.) has slipped down and beyond my "reach" on my phone. Samsung S24+, Chrome
  18. I made it my New Year's resolution one year to send back every single postage paid postcard or envelope that I received via unsolicited marketing efforts (never with my own information, of course.) Some envelopes contained boogers, belly button lint, and/or pubes; others contained crude notes, some were empty, and many contained fragments/shreddings of each other's return materials. It was gratifying in a delightfully petty way for a while, and then it eventually got pretty tedious. I think that I made it to around October before abandoning the project.
  19. Well, like the gorilla, Tyson also knows how to use his teeth...
  20. I think the only way the men win is if they are committed to taking one for the team and literally all pile on top of the gorilla to smother it to death.
