Thanks. I don't do either of those things, and while they each occurred to me before I asked, I can't say that any modern moonphase watch (at least any that came to mind) seems very well-suited to either activity.
Because they have already sold your email address to everyone who wants it, and now they need to sell increasingly intrusive data from your phone to continue harvesting you. When that wellspring of "grant our app your location data" inevitably runs dry, they'll probably have some new level of intrusiveness to gin into shareholder profits for a few quarters.
Doomlet is on the board for the second time this year.
Came busting through the front door like a bat out of hell and told us he thinks he shit his pants because he had a bad fart that didn't feel quite right. Went straight to the bathroom (still wearing his bike helmet) where we heard him quietly mutter "oh, shit" to himself.
I'm not being sarcastic or glib here, but I have never understood the purpose or appeal of moon phase complications. I get that it's a neat mechanism, but what actual purpose does it serve anyone?
Who is it that gives a shit what the moon is up to at any given time? Astrologers, astronomers, and who else? Why?
Don't want to read anything in the thread in order to avoid spoilers, but I am currently slowly working my way through the Alien movies in chronological order with the Doomlet.
We're currently due to watch Alien next, but I believe the TV show takes place shortly before Alien.
Is it sensible for us to watch the TV show now, or come back to it later?
Please tag me in any responses - I don't plan to read this thread until we get around to the TV show. Thanks!
I don't know any of the details other than that I eventually opted to cut the strap rather than remove his entire rear wheel. The coaster brake prevented the easiest and most obvious fix.
But I would point out that it is important we avoid the assumption he was wearing the backpack correctly.
Got a frantic call to come meet him near the playground in order to remedy an emergency.
This is all because he thought he needed to bring a granola bar, water, and Band-Aids with him to go ride bikes for an hour.
A colleague of mine wears the most dizzyingly overcomplicated Navitimer, and I don't know him well enough to ask just how the fuck his brain works such that it is a pleasant and easy way for him to check the time, because he's sure as shit not using the astrolabe complication and whatever the fuck else to navigate the universe.
