I'm trying to instill in the Doomlet a healthy fear of technology by showing him the Terminator series of movies.
I considered showing them in chronological order rather than release order, but figured I might run into resistance if I started with relatively modern movies built for the modern ADD brain and then sprung a slow burn on him (like the first Terminator) in the middle of the story.
...and it's trying to prevent us from watching Terminator 3.
There's no other acceptable explanation for why it's not available on any streaming service in the United States.
I've had reasonable success purging this blight from my fantasy football text thread. I made it clear that I would text the group a picture of goatse every time someone used the term.
As you can likely imagine, this plan wasn't without its own controversy, but it all eventually worked out to my satisfaction.
Binged this over the past few weeks. Of all the shows I've watched, it was one of them...
It was entertaining enough (particularly as it went on) but I have a feeling that I will eventually forget ever having watched it - has the vibe of a show where the only time I'll ever think of it again is when something else in some other show reminds my wife or me of something from this show and then we'll struggle to make the connection for a while.
I don't know where this Jelly Roll character came from or why he's suddenly unavoidable, but I have a strong suspicion that he was created by a marketing agency similar to how the Sex Pistols were just a marketing stunt designed to capture and replicate (and profit from) a certain vibe.
The guy who works on my Skylark keeps trying to convince me to abandon its wire wheels despite knowing that they were my dad's favorite thing about the car and therefore have illogical sentimental value to me ("just put some period correct rally wheels on it and hang the goddamn wire wheels on the wall of your garage!!!"), and I have to agree that they're a real hassle, especially when they lose their seal during winter storage and I have to periodically fuck around refilling them to prevent damage to the tires.
But boy, do they look nice when they're clean...
Not meant to be a complaint in any way, but just a heads up in case it's something worth investigating or troubleshooting.
The score in the Michigan Minnesota game was considerably behind in time a few minutes ago.
Generally speaking, you ( @Knoxtnhorn) need to be careful with dosages if/when you change over to a different product. 125mg of normal edibles (i.e., not loophole-in-the-law quasi-weed) would be a real shitshow for you.
Agreed - "turbo weather" may be mostly in my head, but I also often feel like I can notice a difference in my turbocharged vehicles when it's chilly out.
