  1. Same. And at times, Zoe appears to be cross-eyed. Separately, I'm still not sure how I feel about the Inspector Gadget theme song being featured in a Toyota commercial.
  2. Nothing is ever okay!?!
  3. Separately, I'm open to ideas for the remaining potatoes. I'm mailing a few to friends, but will have a bunch left. Might just dump them at the local park to let kids figure out a good use...
  4. Yesterday was (Re)Interment Day. I didn't get a picture of the final state of decay for our "normal" pumpkin because at the time I realized that yesterday was the "throw away your pumpkins to be composted" collection day, I had 9 minutes to collect and contain the mess and get to the dropoff location. It's one of these though! But I did get a picture of its leftover Buttmold™ befouling our porch: Final group shot of the season: This guy is still quite heavy and seems to be going strong. I'm guardedly optimistic that he will survive to join the permanent cast. A whole bunch of tiny flying insects came flying out of his holes when disturbed. Pretty gnarly. Indoor crew in their winter/spring/summer resting spots: Pledge class picture prior to entombment in the Putrefication Copse. Dog was curious for a brief moment, then not curious at all. Mutant Alien and the dude in the middle seem likely to survive. Not sure what might happen with the other random gourds - we'll see. To continue the voodoo momentum, I added one potato of each color and the recordkeeping to the innards of a guy that I do not expect to survive the winter. Soggy spots when lifting, animals don't seem to have decided that it's poisonous, and the hide isn't as tough as I believe it needs to be. Final resting places: Not a moment too soon, as we got a dusting of snow overnight.
  5. Bangin' in Little Rock.
  6. No, they deserve the death penalty.
  7. Like a Coen brothers character bad at pulling off disguises but who nevertheless continues trying new ones.
  8. Perverse mutation of the Black Sheep Effect from social psychology. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_sheep_effect ~~~~~ In other fun news, due to ICE lurking near schools, the Doomlet and every other kid in our district has now had their last outdoor recess and PE for the foreseeable future. Motherfuckers.
  9. Well, he's also barely literate, so I'm not so sure that this is the explanation.
  10. Gorgeous - congratulations! Drive it really fast and avoid the police.
  11. This show is pretty funny. I don't recall whether it takes a little while to hit its stride, but I think the humor would appeal to most Surloids.
  12. He likes the morningwood experience.
  13. Yeah, this was a fun show. Felt very Coen-esque at times, but not a ripoff or anything.
  14. Bigs Foot, like Attorneys General.
  15. I think it's all the free imitation crab meat.
  16. That's fantastic. I especially appreciate the woman who tried to turn the melee into a referendum on the education system.
  17. Glen Powell's face seems unusually small. Also a little rodent-like.
  18. Okay, that's pretty funny.
  19. Donna Godchaux.
  20. Donna is gone now, too.
  21. Thanks for posting this! Now if you can also find a way to get my current computer to run on XP, I would appreciate it.
  22. Chicago suburbs.
  23. The owner of the landscaping crew we use just let us know that they're no longer doing any work for at least the remainder of the season because he won't put himself or any of his guys at further risk. It's equally heartbreaking and infuriating.
  24. Alas, I did not interrogate the children about their patrons or sources of funding, but I assume that their escapades were probably subsidized by George Soros. There's no clearer explanation.
  25. We found one potato (purple) smashed on the sidewalk in front of the neighbor's house.
