  1. My mom’s side too. I’m born and raised Hays and still live here. [emoji1689] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I leave my backstraps whole and cut them to my desired thickness depending who I’m cooking for. This one I butterflied, got my cast hot, sprinkled some of this on and cooked for a couple minutes per side. About as simple as can be to be honest. Tonight I’m chicken frying some backstrap and some pheasant as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Try the rub next, it’s life altering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Small world, I live in Hays but my family hails from Hoxie. And to half keep the thread on track, I get along great with my in-laws. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Whitetail backstrap. Fried pheasant. Bacon wrapped dove with japs and pepper jack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. How bout a butterflied backstrap off a Kansas whitetail? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The University of Kansas is 35 miles west in Lawrence. But I’m sure there are plenty of restaurants and bars in that 35 mile stretch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My boss is headed over next week to adopt a little girl. He’s nervous as shit. CSB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Nice, I got fucked up drinking 32oz bourbon and waters from Whiskey Licker while listening to an 80's rock band at that open air stage on New Year's Day 2018.
  11. I feel like I’ve sat in the exact seat that she is sitting in. Whiskey Licker directly behind her about 15’? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Antlers Liquor and Wine Cellar in Frisco had ER a couple weeks ago when we were there. It's easily accessible off I70 at the main Frisco exit. Douchebag brother in law knocked it over and busted bottle after I'd had one drink out of it. Sent his ass back for more.
  13. I'm confident I could hit 15 by lunch every single day.
  14. There’s some really pretty views on the White River from Cotter up to the dam on Bull Shoals. If you like to fish, world renowned trout fishing in those waters. Also if you like to fish, stop in Flippin and tour the new state of the art Vexus Boats manufacturing facility. It’s unbelievable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Waco bound for a wedding this weekend. I'm sure it's been mentioned, but anything worth a shit in Waco? Will be traveling from western KS with 2 kids under 7 so will probably not stop anywhere north of there while en route. The faster I get them there, the sooner I'll be free to eat and drink on my own. Thanks in advance.
  16. I've got an Uuni and use it often. I was unsure it'd get used enough to justify it, but it has. I sear steaks in mine as well.
  17. Know you said reasonable distance via vehicle, but we just did Key Largo with over 30 people including 6 under the age of 4. It was a blast. Here's where we stayed. http://www.bayharborkeylargo.com/
  18. Headed fishing with dad when I was a youngster. Stopped about 20 minutes from the lake and got a slice of breakfast pizza. Unloaded the boat and told dad I didn’t feel good. Leaned over the edge and puked everywhere. In the process, I shit all down my leg and immediately hopped overboard. I was surrounded by shit and vomit for nearly 15 minutes as I continued to do both. Fortunately I had a life jacket on or I may have drowned right there. At the time that was the best possible scenario. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I did a roast with potatoes, carrots and onions last night. It was very good and simple. Just waited til about the last 15 minutes to add the carrots.
  20. They’re still there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I love my Uuni. Use it to sear steaks as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
