  1. Finally made it to Revolver today. Freaking awesome. Had the trompo, the pescado, and the carne asada (now my favorite steak taco in town). It's pricey though. $50 for two of us before the tip. We ordered 3 the first time around, then asked for two more carne asada tacos each. Yeah, I'm miserable- four would have been perfect. I will say their housemade corn tortillas are the best out there.
  2. And I said gotdamn. Gotdamn. Going this week @bigcigar - thanks for the tip.
  3. I honestly have no idea what he does dude from say "make some noise" a lot.
  4. Spend five minutes in in a room with her listening to her talk about herself and that sentiment will increase tenfold.
  5. Made a snack with some left over Chicken E.
  6. I gotta tell ya I wasn't thinking about Taco Bell before I read this. You can kindly go fuck yourself now.
  7. Man, I'm not hearing that. I hear "your expression's our (something)..." I'm sure I'm way off. This could be like that dress that broke the internet.
  8. McShan Florist. I haven't figured out the rest of the jingle either unfortunately. And I hate it. Those are billboards. They come in :5s/:10s/:15s. The :5s are usually an added value branding opportunity/sweetener, but the advertisers always try to get a spot out of it and cram too much shit into a small amount of time. That's why you have that "Mr. Restore" jingle that's so sped up it sounds stupid. But then there's the folks that go with less is more and still end up sounding ridiculous, like the one that just says "American Leak Detection" out of nowhere then it's on to the next ad. Put a "dot com" at the end at least dumb ass.
  9. Sanctimonious George is almost as good as Sanctimonious Norm.
  10. Went just fine. Now we can all shut the fuck up about that pick. I'd give another first (make it three) for Luka in hindsight
  11. I'm weird. I drink it straight black at home but I'll trick it up elsewhere. Best thing about this bastardized version of keto I'm doing is heavy cream and stevia in my coffee.
  12. I got tired of the Tony shit before I heard any of it. Now I just I feel like I've been in jail for the last hour. Bored to tears.
  13. I was kinda thinking the same as far as "home base" goes. Either downtown or West Hollywood just to avoid switching hotels mid-trip. Good idea? I was interested in Venice specifically for the freakshow, but y'all are starting to talk me out of it. So if we get there early Tuesday morning, it sounds like we should hit the beach that day to take advantage of the thinner crowds during the early part of the week. I wonder if we should go to Universal on Wednesday instead of Thursday for that same reason. Kids are pretty easy. Adventurous eaters. Definitely into more lively stuff, not really into the museum thing (my son would be more than my daughter). Really appreciate all the info. I'll rep later. Keep it coming.
  14. We get there super early in the morning and fly out later in the evening. I've been messing with Google maps and checking travel times to different places throughout the day. Seems like if you're staying the the right spot you can get most places in 35-40 minutes. According to maps anyway. But yeah, I'm a realist and actually pretty terrified for my traffic anus.
  15. Pretty sure I'm going to get the tickets that get you to the front of the line once per each ride/attraction ($179 a piece). I figure if we hit them all once it's a win. They're open 9a-9p.
  16. Taking the family for a week (4 nights, 5 full days) in late June. Kids are 12 and 8. Planning on spending two days at the beach (thinking one day in Santa Monica, Venice the other), and doing a day at Universal. Then sightseeing/exploring the other two days. I'd appreciate any logistics advice (especially on the beach days, as I don't think we'll be staying on the beach), and any can't miss stuff, places to eat, etc. TIA.
  17. Pretty much any store bought ranch is dogshit. Ken's Steakhouse Ranch is passable. Barely.
  18. You went 1/12. Long John's my ninja. Usual contrarian self otherwise. No one gives a shit what your imaginary east coast gf thinks about Whataburger haha. "She lives in Canada."
