Yeah it took me a while, but it is apparent that Donewald left us. hate that because the offense was really good last year and he was supposed to be in charge. But if he left butthurt (or just left), we need to move on. As I've said, like the Haith hire.
I bring up Donewald because it's not lost on me who does and who does not get credibility bestowed on them by completely arbitrary means. Unlike Donewald, Cason immediately got another college basketball gig upon being let go.
A good reminder as to who brought Donewald in. Perhaps you guys trashing him, don't think that Beard bringing him here is a positive data point. I have to disagree.
Why would anyone want sunshine pumping? Wanting that is just dumb. SO thinks this is a bad hire, and my first reaction was that it is disappointing to hire one of your buddies who hasn't helped you to any measure of success. I hope he does a good job, but I'm skepitical.
The PC issue wasn’t directed at you, but at the litany of posters who continue to cite Woody’s record when recruiting was the issue. And I agree that both Pierce & Woody should’ve been more aware of the recruiting aspect - really poor form to change after one year.
I should’ve considered the timing on your Tulo post, sorry about that chief.
The post just above yours says Tulo is not coming back under Pierce.
And for crying out loud, the issue from Woody appears to be recruiting not coaching. Read the fucking thread people.
It’s a good thing this isn’t happening a school that has had other off the field issues. Like a high speed car crash that kills a staffer and a player.
That kind of stuff might discourage recruits and their loved ones. Good thing the champion dawgs are clean as a whistle.🥺
Determining the impact of an assistant will always be difficult to determine. But there is a lot of dissing Donewald considering that he has an NBA background and is widely credited for helping LeBron develop. I know there are some strange ports of call on his resume, but our offense last year was considerably above average.
