  1. Same here on watching. I find their preoccupation to be amusing.
  2. Yeah, against Northshore. That’s what usually happens. One year it was SLC, but Quinn graduated. So, when are services?
  3. Don’t live in Austin, but just rooting for ‘Merica. 😉
  4. Good news if King gives them their best chance. He is ass, my dude.
  5. Nebraska shucks. International tarmac firing for Frost?
  6. Give those boys some Killen’s when they return. They deserve it.
  7. I wonder if Stewie would take the under if I tried to get him to bet at 2.5 conference wins. Hell, I'd even make the number 3.
  8. yeah, isnt he left handed?
  9. The Sark era is taking off. Get on board or get run over. AGNB
  10. Interesting comp. I think his offense is most comparable to Yount teammate Paul Molitor. (Molitor's swing was as pretty as Jeter's was ugly, but similar results).
  11. yeah, well wait til next year. trust in Jimbo. 😂
  12. This sounds more likely than that story about reading an I Pad.
  13. Realizing that this is anecdotal data only, but I have looked at all the NYY greats (Ruth, Gehrig, Dickey, DiMaggio, Berra and Mantle) and none of them exceed their regular season stats in the WS. As you accurately point out, the smple size is limited - that is why I've used the guys who played enough to have much data. I think where we may disagree is your terminology of playoff pitchers consisting of "a few great, some good, and many average-ish". I would say that there are some "average-ish" but the number of those guys you getting starts in the post season where ther are more off days, is clearly fewer than the regular season. JMO. I have looked at this enough to be comfortable with my position regarding Jeter's numbers = regular season, but will acknowledge this hasn't been some Bill James study.😉
  14. If you compare most players regular season stats to their post-season stats, you will find that the regular season stats exceed the playoffs. The players are ususally facing the top end of the rotation (no #5 starters for sure), and they are facing the best teams. In essence, you have said that Jeter was just as good against superior pitching during the postseason. You just didn't realize it.
  15. another job for him to be bad at. maybe mediocre.
  16. How much are we practicing indoors? Seeing a lot of pics from outside, so wondering about player safety, etc.
