  1. All the talk Ed O is toast and Scott Woodward would bring in Jimbo again.
  2. Have you ever met a Baton Rouge to Houston transplant that wasn't thankful as hell? I haven't.
  3. Because it is sorta King's Inn north from former King's Inn staff in the kitchen and purloined recipes.
  4. Why is this any different than the usual run the other team's video and point out the flaws that every team does?
  5. FDIC goes up to $250,000 per account.
  6. Thank god I've mostly convinced the women in my family the tax write off for donating is worth more. I did pay the college daughter(no pix!) $100 to not have one and donate the stuff.
  7. Did you not see NC with all their talent sitting out take you into the 4th quarter of your bowl game?
  8. Anyone want to tell them how much Winston ignored Jimbo and made his own calls?
  9. To where? Bubba's must be some I grew up in the Park Cities nostalgia thing as there is nothing memorable about it. Haven't tried Babe's. Ozona Grill is the best I've tried so far.
  10. Very first concert I went to. I was a HS junior. Jane's Addiction at the Backroom, before they become big, was the best concert I've ever been to.
  11. Chicken fried steak.
  12. Your mom says otherwise.
  13. For things like this I do what I call deconstructed lasagne. Same ingredients but using Penne noodles, everything mixed like a casserole, and then melt your preferred cheese(s) over the top. I usually do one with meat and one vegetarian(I usually go one pan chicken and one pan spinach). Assemble it the day before and refrigerate overnight so all the flavors meld and bake it off before the party. Make a salad, an antipasto platter, and garlic bread to go with it. For the chicken grab grocery store rotisserie chicken(s) and cube it. Everyone will be drinking, happy to be socializing, and willing eat anything. Don't overthink it.
  14. Meant to ask the question yesterday of did they price Genie+ high enough to not end up with hour waits in the 'Lightning Lane' and push standby out to hours of wait time. I'll try to find the post I read one of the Disney boards that figured out for a family of four at a moderate for a week that Genie+ is only a 5% surcharge on total cost(room, park tickets, quick serve only food) and goes down from there for staying at a deluxe and eating at full service. EDIT- just read RotR dropped the boarding group lottery system yesterday and was put on standby only in preparation for rolling out Genie+
  15. Disney started down the Vegas road of catering to the whales before Chapek. With COVID they don't have the cheap labor anymore(They are trying to get the college program back up and running but still can't get the foreign nationals that used to staff the world showcase at EPCOT) and are leaning into catering to the biggest spenders even more.
  16. Saw Dona sauce and Roja salsa in the Lakewood Whole Foods refrigerated case today.
  17. It either rolls out in the next day or two or after the Columbus weekend school break. Disney won't risk any rollout issues flubbing up the WDW 50th anniversary. MK opened Oct 1 1971. Best thing is not having to make FP ressies 60 days out.
  18. Aren't you in Toledo? There are some in Toledo. Pretty sure the La Perla tortillas, I bought when we lived in Columbus, bakery is in Toledo.
  19. Because they did nothing to address childcare issues and peoples COVID fears.
  20. Economists say it is the cutting off the UI funds that that were being spent that are no longer being spent.
  21. Our last house had one. Awesome to lower it to change bulbs and dust it.
  22. Not particularly surprised. She wasn't using the police separation for questioning to declare fearing for her safety and get away. Regardless it is tragic.
  23. If you've watched Free Solo the climber(Alex Honnold?) had El Capitan absolutely memorized from how many times he'd climbed it.
  24. Seeing those 1" gear changes always blows my mind when I learned how to drive in '69 International Harvester 500 PU where the gear shifts were dash to seat, back to dash, back to seat, etc.
