  1. We just moved to Dallas. Gave myself a concussion yesterday and am on bedrest orders for a few days or I'd go to have COVID no cut hair contest with Mac.
  2. Foreshadowing ND joining a conference?
  3. In spite of being in FW forever, dont think he's as old as we think...or he should be. Is he going the Saban career length? Sweaty Pat is 61.
  4. Unlikely. While I'm a couple decades removed from F&B management my personal experience was any employee that took 7 days in a row vacation, or more, was a 50/50 crap shoot to realizing how miserable they were and move on. This is an industry where success means almost no nights or weekends with your family(why I left). My experience makes me think staffing issues are going to be longer term from missing roping in new employees to the industry for 15+ months compounded by those that have moved into warehouse/delivery jobs telling their F&B cohorts there are far less stressful jobs that pay equal or better with benefits. It just may be that the industry is being made to lie in the bed they built.
  5. Surly man blocks own beer fridge to spite wife?
  6. Had no idea he only played in a single NFL game and has been waived by 5 teams in 2 years.
  7. I doubt LSU is itching to hire a guy who was behind in the fourth quarter to a UNC team largely featuring second team underclassmen that had not started before from how many starters sat out.
  8. We've already seen Mack Brown. EDIT- Second time today someone beat me to it.
  9. Condolences. Being there holding a loved one as they transition to whatever is next is one of the greatest acts of love there is.
  10. Yet it is the second highest grossing movie of all time and the Pandora section at Animal Kingdom moved AK from 4th in attendance park at WDW to second to MK.
  11. Just a way for those from Plano to shit on Plano 2.0 and 3.0.
  12. Do it immediately after FoP so you’re already mentally in the Na’vi world. Disney really screwed up when they decided to shorten the Na’vi River Journey from the original concept to cut cost. You don’t get immersed until the last 30 seconds of the ride with what they did.
  13. Beginning of the school year combined with peak heat is always slow at WDW.
  14. Or wanting to pass on a 4* RB that has two years experience in Sark's offense.
  15. Established teams? No doubt. But what I'm curious about is if when a Tom Herman gets fired under this new system and 20+ kids 'head for the portal' on top of 20+ kids graduating how do you recover from that under the 25 per year rule? Now does your new coach search focus more on who is really good or who can brings guys to fill roster holes next year?
  16. I've been wondering what all will happen under the new transfer rules with a coaching change. Build a great P5 program, get a better gig, and transfer the team over with you. I was expecting this type of thing to happen for the star QB to transfer in to be part and parcel of the HC's new job but I apparently I need to think in broader terms. What happens when 20+ kids transfer out after a coaching change? Do you get an exception to the 25 annual slots? If not that could take a few seasons to recover from.
  17. Explain to me how the addition of one extra out of a thousand workers on unemployment is causing the current labor shortage.
  18. New unemployment numbers came out yesterday and the US is down to a quarter million(roughly .001% of the labor force) more on unemployment now than before the pandemic started. That puts a pretty big hole in the argument that unemployment benefits are the root cause of the labor shortage.
  19. Agree. He also really good at explaining football concepts in terms the average fan can grasp.
