  1. I once watched a movie called “Friday Night Dykes” so this hits close to home.
  2. They are in College Station. Do you blame them?
  3. 4 plus the neutral field against Arky. The 4 games are Miss St, Bama, SC and Auburn so not exactly a murderers row they have to face on the road.
  4. The announcers are talking about beating Miami like this was a Michael Irvin or Ed Reed Miami team. It’s like saying OU was great for beating a Nebraska team that hasn’t been good for what, 2 decades.
  5. Nope. They will probably go like 8-4 and that is because they play a crap schedule in the ACC.
  6. This is typical Jimbo/Aggie type of a game. They will win a ugly close game and think they are awesome. They will move up in the polls since they beat a Top 12 team but at the end of the day their O only put up 10 points against a mediocre Miami team. They will squeak out 8-9 wins somehow this year.
  7. Miami looks so poorly coached it laughable. No urgency with the clock, vanilla/crap offense.
  8. The coach on the other sideline is on that list also.
  9. Trump can't be hurt politically like impeachment because the congress won't go against him. He can't be hurt criminally because he has the judicial in his back pocket apparently. The only way for this to end is the hopefully inevitable stroke and or heart attack that takes him out.
  10. Can someone help me (a non lawyer) understand what is really happening. Technically the government (The current President of the US, DOJ, FBI) says a person (forget for a second that this is Trump) has classified documents and this judge is saying to the government, "I don't believe you when you say they are classified". Am I understanding this correctly?
  11. This is exactly right. I would love for a 3-5 win season for them but they will play like crap in most games just like last year but somehow find a way to win most of them. I see them beating Miami and Arkansas and maybe even Miss St in ugly games. They should get drummed by Bama.
  12. Cross posted on the Jimbo. recruiting thread also. From ESPN.com this morning. “On the other end of the Mountaineers' 17-14 win Saturday was No. 6 Texas A&M, which was kind enough to upend its fans' expectations in Week 2 rather than waiting until October to do it. The Aggies managed just 186 total yards and one offensive touchdown. A&M paid App State $1.5 million to come to College Station. Add that to the $9 million Jimbo Fisher is being paid not to develop a quarterback, and that's a lot of cash without much return on investment. Aggies boosters are going to have to think twice before ordering the 82-ounce ribeye at breakfast Sunday. For years, Fisher was viewed as a quarterback whisperer, putting three straight into the first round of the NFL draft during his Florida Statetenure. But since Jameis Winston left after the 2014 season, it's been rough. No Fisher QB in that span has completed 60% of his passes and thrown more than 20 TDs in a season. For reference, 36 different QBs did that last season, including his current backup, Max Johnson, who transferred from LSU.”
  13. Hate to see the below on espn.com today. The first part of the article was about the Longhorns and for the most part seemed like a fair assessment. This part about the Aggies is spot on. “On the other end of the Mountaineers' 17-14 win Saturday was No. 6 Texas A&M, which was kind enough to upend its fans' expectations in Week 2 rather than waiting until October to do it. 14. Nah. He is just not a great coach. Jameis Winston covered up a lot of warts along with all that talent he had at FSU. A great QB in college can make any coach look better. Look what Lamar Jackson did for Charlie Strong and Watson.
  15. This times a thousand. Sark runs an offense that gets guys open but with a crappy QB there is nothing he can do. Thompson was a shit QB and Card is also. Card may be a great guy but as a QB he panics. You can see him hold the ball over and over when he needs to let it go. I don’t think that can be corrected either. The college game may just be a little too fast for him. That is why many good HS qb’s suck when they get to college. I think Card falls into that camp plus he has a noodle for an arm. He just can’t throw the ball over 20 yards consistently and you can’t win with that hamstringing your offense especially against talent like Bama has. The future is bright for the Horns for the fist time in a long time. In 1-2 more years the depth chart should be stocked 2 to 3 deep at every position and then 10 win seasons at a minimum every year will be the norm.
  16. Kind of like when our RB was running towards the end zone and the Bama defensive player reached out across the front of his helmet and his whole head spun around. The natural inclination would be to assume he just got facemasked, yet strangely they didn’t call a facemask even though it was a blatant one.
  17. I’m into that whole tantric sex thing so this hits close to home to me.
  18. On Young’s scramble at the end of the game they definitely missed the OL holding are guy. I can tell you that throughout the course of that game and all games there were tons of holds not called on Texas and Bama that should have been called because that is just what happens in football. What you rarely see is a QB scramble to the outside and a defensive player get held like that when is in position to make the tackle and it not be called. Now would the Texas player have made that tackle? Maybe, maybe not. The ref in the backfield would have a clear view of that hold and for some reason chose not to call it. The 81 yard running play by Bama was similar. I think it was Ford that got tackled by a OL in the hole where the RB went through. Should be called every time but gee, the refs somehow missed that one. I am sure when we play Baylor they will negate some huge Bijan run with a holding call on the other side of the field from the actual play.
  19. Those weren’t even “bang bang” calls. If a ref can’t make those calls then they shouldn’t be allowed to ref a game. The face mask non call was ridiculous because it turned his whole fucking head around. There were 2 refs standing there and I guarantee they saw it but chose not to call it. Just like the PI calls. Guy was mugging Sanders in the end zone, the refs watched it and decided nah we won’t call that.
