  1. German and Illinois also.
  2. I’m old and majored in history at UT so thanks.
  3. I am not sure if he did this on purpose but to me they are totally making parallels between the current world including the US and Hitlers rise to power which I thought was interesting. Also, I never knew that Hitler and his men really admired and used the playbook from the US on how to treat the Jews with the way the US treated African Americans with Jim Crow laws to make them second class citizens. Same goes for Hitlers views of the US western expansion and killing of the native Americans and how he wanted eastern expansion and thought he could kill the Slavs and Russians because they were a lesser race than his Aryan race. Hitler was of course a mad man but he really took the worst things the US did and implemented them in Germany.
  4. I am watching it now. Only about 30 min in but so far this should be required viewing for all Americans. Not just about the Holocaust but immigration in general and the history of how that occurred in the US.
  5. I once watched a movie called “Friday Night Dykes” so this hits close to home.
  6. They are in College Station. Do you blame them?
  7. 4 plus the neutral field against Arky. The 4 games are Miss St, Bama, SC and Auburn so not exactly a murderers row they have to face on the road.
  8. The announcers are talking about beating Miami like this was a Michael Irvin or Ed Reed Miami team. It’s like saying OU was great for beating a Nebraska team that hasn’t been good for what, 2 decades.
  9. Nope. They will probably go like 8-4 and that is because they play a crap schedule in the ACC.
  10. 4 yard passes aint gonna cut it.
  11. This is typical Jimbo/Aggie type of a game. They will win a ugly close game and think they are awesome. They will move up in the polls since they beat a Top 12 team but at the end of the day their O only put up 10 points against a mediocre Miami team. They will squeak out 8-9 wins somehow this year.
  12. Miami looks so poorly coached it laughable. No urgency with the clock, vanilla/crap offense.
  13. The coach on the other sideline is on that list also.
  14. How was that not a hold?
  15. Trump can't be hurt politically like impeachment because the congress won't go against him. He can't be hurt criminally because he has the judicial in his back pocket apparently. The only way for this to end is the hopefully inevitable stroke and or heart attack that takes him out.
  16. Can someone help me (a non lawyer) understand what is really happening. Technically the government (The current President of the US, DOJ, FBI) says a person (forget for a second that this is Trump) has classified documents and this judge is saying to the government, "I don't believe you when you say they are classified". Am I understanding this correctly?
  17. Trump may be dumb enough to to take that offer.
  18. This fucker apparently had the power to curse our program.
  19. So you are Sherman Tanz from Veep, huh?
  20. This is exactly right. I would love for a 3-5 win season for them but they will play like crap in most games just like last year but somehow find a way to win most of them. I see them beating Miami and Arkansas and maybe even Miss St in ugly games. They should get drummed by Bama.
  21. Cross posted on the Jimbo. recruiting thread also. From ESPN.com this morning. “On the other end of the Mountaineers' 17-14 win Saturday was No. 6 Texas A&M, which was kind enough to upend its fans' expectations in Week 2 rather than waiting until October to do it. The Aggies managed just 186 total yards and one offensive touchdown. A&M paid App State $1.5 million to come to College Station. Add that to the $9 million Jimbo Fisher is being paid not to develop a quarterback, and that's a lot of cash without much return on investment. Aggies boosters are going to have to think twice before ordering the 82-ounce ribeye at breakfast Sunday. For years, Fisher was viewed as a quarterback whisperer, putting three straight into the first round of the NFL draft during his Florida Statetenure. But since Jameis Winston left after the 2014 season, it's been rough. No Fisher QB in that span has completed 60% of his passes and thrown more than 20 TDs in a season. For reference, 36 different QBs did that last season, including his current backup, Max Johnson, who transferred from LSU.”
  22. Hate to see the below on espn.com today. The first part of the article was about the Longhorns and for the most part seemed like a fair assessment. This part about the Aggies is spot on. “On the other end of the Mountaineers' 17-14 win Saturday was No. 6 Texas A&M, which was kind enough to upend its fans' expectations in Week 2 rather than waiting until October to do it. 23. Nah. He is just not a great coach. Jameis Winston covered up a lot of warts along with all that talent he had at FSU. A great QB in college can make any coach look better. Look what Lamar Jackson did for Charlie Strong and Watson.
  24. This times a thousand. Sark runs an offense that gets guys open but with a crappy QB there is nothing he can do. Thompson was a shit QB and Card is also. Card may be a great guy but as a QB he panics. You can see him hold the ball over and over when he needs to let it go. I don’t think that can be corrected either. The college game may just be a little too fast for him. That is why many good HS qb’s suck when they get to college. I think Card falls into that camp plus he has a noodle for an arm. He just can’t throw the ball over 20 yards consistently and you can’t win with that hamstringing your offense especially against talent like Bama has. The future is bright for the Horns for the fist time in a long time. In 1-2 more years the depth chart should be stocked 2 to 3 deep at every position and then 10 win seasons at a minimum every year will be the norm.
