  1. The responses in that tweet make me want to leave this country yesterday but now I have to stay for the 4 straight National Football Championships Quinn and Arch are about to bring UT.
  2. You want to know what infringes on my rights as a United States citizen? Fucking blue laws in states like TX where I can't buy alcohol on Sundays before noon or at all. How bout the Supreme Court gets on that one as some of us in this country don't give a fuck that it's the "lords day" so we shouldn't be allowed to buy booze so we can go to church. No offense to those of you that are nice Christians on this board but the fucking religious right (which is behind this push to end Roe V Wade) are the worst fucking humans on the face of this Earth.
  3. You and I know that still wouldn't matter. The people of this state will always find a reason to vote R because the people are idiots. They will be told by Fox News or their R politicians that the economy/inflation is bad because of the Dems, Brown people are coming over the border to rape/murder your women and children and the Dems will let it happen, LGBQT people are trying to make your kids gay and the Dems want this to happen, Dems are going to take away your hamburgers and make you eat tofu burgers, and any other ridiculous idea you can think of and the dumb people of TX and other Red states will pull the lever for the R.
  4. So, we gonna have bounty hunters tracking down women that leave a state and go to a state that allows abortions, kind of like in the good old days of slavery and Free/Slave states?
  5. My company (Fortune top 20) just put out a statement to the employees that in light of the overturning of Roe V Wade our medical plan as of July 1st will now expand travel benefits to include abortion care, gender-affirming care, and behavioral health services in regions where access is restricted. I wonder if these new strict state abortion laws will cause some companies to move out of states or if they will just look at favorable taxes in those states and not worry about employees not wanting to move or stay in certain states. I'm looking at TX on this as states like AL, MS, LA are lost causes anyways.
  6. And….. the NRA wins again. They can get gun and anti gun people to buy weapons. Yay.
  7. I know. If you can open a abortion clinic within some all inclusive resorts in Cancun, Cozumel and Cabo someone’s gonna make a fortune.
  8. It’s too bad that people like Joe Manchin, Murkowski , the cunt from Maine, and others like them don’t have the power to do something about this? Oh wait…..
  9. I am from neither but would disagree. My family is from Boston. They are just very "cold" people but New Yorkers (whom I have tons of friends from there) can be a little much.
  10. Well, he and Hunter have stolen all of the oil for themselves and are price gouging everyone at the pump is the way I understand it to be.
  11. I also think this “not prosecuting the president” once they leave office norm in the United States was based on the president actually not being a criminal that did criminal acts while in office. Trump kind of changed that “norm”.
  12. The Rosemary Old Fashioned is pretty tasty at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Go bowling across the street for some fun.
  13. I don’t know if someone or some group has been in charge of the Republican talking points and rhetoric over the last 20 years but if the Dems were smart they would pay that person billions of dollars to help them with it. Every time the Dems try to push out a talking point it doesn’t work and sounds kind of hokey. Biden saying “ultra MAGA Republican” over and over again, Adam Schiff seems to say the word “scheme” when talking about Jan 6 and Trump but he says it over and over again like the Dems sat in a room and said, “hey, if we keep using the word scheme then everyone will think Trump was scheming and we will win all those voters over”. I am a Democrat but man they are so bad at selling their side of the story to the American people it is frustrating to watch.
  14. Dude, I was smoking weed when I was 12 years old so I am not against it but a lot of kids these days are different than when I grew up. Not just him but a lot of them really don’t “party” like the old days. I know a few kids he knows do smoke but the crowd he hangs around are nerds. Play soccer all the time, go to Kumon after school to study type of kids.
  15. You referring to my kid? No weed or drinking. He is just a nerd but he does have a girlfriend so not a total nerd.
  16. I think the only solution to your issue is to steal said pony from someone else. That way it's free and you get it immediately. That's all I got.
  17. He has a passion for playing X box. We thought he would be interested in engineering based on how easy math and science have always been to him but he said no bueno to that. Now he is saying maybe business (not accounting) or computer sciences. My wife feels that if you are going to be in computer sciences you need to be doing coding and shit by his age but I don’t think that’s true. My nephew was kind of a f up (but a good kid) and he graduated from FSU with a computer science degree 4 years ago. He just turned down an offer from Amazon starting at $300K+ a year so he must be doing something right. The only Texas school my kid says he is interested in is UT Austin but he won’t get into business school I don’t think with few extracurriculars on his resume other than golf and I am sure as hell not sending him there to get a Liberal Arts degree like my parents were dumb enough to do with me. The History major didn’t help me much in life but I also turned out OK financially. Mentally not so much.
  18. Joel was an entrepreneur and a go getter at least. My kid, not so much.
  19. My son starts his Junior year of HS in a few months. The wife and I are trying to get him to think about colleges but he has no idea what he wants to do for a profession or what school he wants to go to. I am curious who will accept him as he has never not gotten an A in any subject (and he never studies) and most of his grades are 97 to a 100 in every AP/Honors course his school offers. He will easily be in the top 20 out of 400 students in his class at a 5A school. He hasn’t taken the SAT yet but I am sure he will get in the 1400+ range at a minimum. Here is the negative. He is lazy and won’t do any extracurricular activities, join any clubs, charitable work, nothing. Hell, he was too lazy to join National Honor Society because he didn’t want to do the volunteer stuff. He is on the varsity golf team and that is it. We have been telling him he needs to get that other stuff on his resume but my wife feels at this point its too late and he is screwed when it comes to college.
  20. I love watching the pros get tested in US Open conditions. It’s the best tournament by far for me. I also loved seeing Rahm’s shot in the bunker on 18 that hit the lip and came back down. Makes me feel better about my game because i do that like once every round.
