  1. Yeah I'm pretty satisfied with the way my team has rounded into form late in the year. I'm really hoping the Dolphins with nothing to play for and Achane a little banged up don't start managing his reps. Definitely anything can happen. All 6 playoff teams are separated by less than 100 total points over the course of the regular season. It's like a 7 ppg difference between #1 and #6.
  2. I decided to go with Pitts over Kelce at like 7 pm last night. This might be the first time in my life that a fantasy football decision has gone my way. Now fully expecting the rest of my team to fumble on their first touch, sprain their ankle, and sit out the final 58 minutes of their games.
  3. Dane Brugler’s most recent top 50 big board was on November 11 and doesn’t have Goosby (or any Texas player). I’m the intro he mentions that it’s a relatively weak OL class.
  4. The certainty about the number 3 is what I find interesting. For Sark and Flood to go from "we have never taken a portal OL in our time at Texas" to "we will get 3 starters from the portal this year" is a big leap that I won't believe until I see.
  5. Interesting that Gerry is confident about 3 IOL. I really hope that's true but honestly I'm not getting my hopes up for more than 2 and even 1 seems possible. Unless we fire Flood and the new guy wants to remake the room.
  6. Vasek's just an example. If they feel like he's not over the injury stuff, or he's not actually good enough to hold the fort in the event of a Lance Jackson injury, then sure cut him loose. But it's interesting to me reading this thread and others around Surly, and you'll find damn near every player who isn't a surefire starter or a freshman discussed as a transfer possibility. And on an individual, player-to-player basis, that makes total sense. But we do have to fill out a depth chart, whether it's with guys that are already here or ones from the portal. I mentioned Vasek specifically because I was looking at our depth chart at edge the other day. You've got Simmons and Jackson as your starters. Great. Spence mixing in, that's good. Then Zina, who I feel like I haven't seen much about, and Orogbo who I'm almost certain I saw something along the lines of "promising but not ready". I'd say you need at least one more body in that mix. You can go to the portal and get the edge version of, I dunno, Cole Brevard, to come in and join the rotation and it likely works out OK. But it's not free; by definition you have to pay that guy more than what his current team is willing or able to pay him. Not to mention you don't really know what kind of guy he is, don't have a great handle on his medicals, etc. The post I responded to was concerned with losing the sort of "middle class" of our roster. Guys that probably ain't gonna end up stars but can fill out the depth chart. To be perfectly honest, I don't remember Vasek hardly at all this season but the official stats claim he played in all 12 games. Seems like he could fall into that category, unless, as you say, the ask is nonsense.
  7. I had some of the same thoughts about Vasek, as he's come up some on here recently. Obviously there's injury concerns in his case, but to me that seems like a guy you'd like to keep around because you need depth that you feel good about playing. The roster can't just be badass starters, freshmen behind them, and nothing else. As you say, getting experienced guys out of the portal to fill out your 2nd string probably isn't going to be very easy.
  8. Very considerate of the side piece to wait until after signing day to blow up their program
  9. I'm bored while eating lunch so threw this together. The Athletic's All-America teams.
  10. Yeah everyone says the Christmas party is cool, but we did Disneyland for spring break this year and my 8 year old never made it all the way to the fireworks. She crashes hard. We'll see. Not seeing anything about Runaway Railway at first glance. I do know that Big Thunder Mountain is gonna be closed while we're there, which is a bummer.
  11. Thanks. You and @mdmost crush this thread. We're staying at Wilderness Lodge. Four days in the parks but I think we're skipping Animal Kingdom. Maybe two days in Hollywood, can't remember what my wife said. We're also doing the Christmas party one night. The mouse fucking owns my ass right now (but it's gonna be awesome, I'm pumped). edit: for MK and HS, the strategy I came up with on my own is pretty similar to what you have. I've got Epcot fucked up though. Didn't realize that Guardians is the best ride. The plan I came up with was to rope drop Test Track, get a multipass for Remy's, and buy a single pass for Guardians. What do you think?
  12. Oh cool. I was hoping that discussion of the 10-year-old would keep going for a bit.
  13. Thanks. What’s your strategy with the single pass rides? Do you just book those for whenever, or is it better to rope drop those rides so you can ride them for “free” and then do a LL later in the day if you want to ride it again. My kids are 11 and 8 btw but are down for any ride Disney can throw at them (coasters, etc).
  14. Individual seats? You sound poor. It is high time that some forward-thinking visionary builds the first ever luxury suite-only stadium. Think of the monetization!
  15. We could've traded Seager to the Dodgers for Clayton Kershaw to guarantee ourselves the first pick.
  16. The Athletic's simulator has the Cowboys at 53% to make the playoffs if they win out. Single digits percentage if they go 3-1.
  17. @mdmost is there a website with straightforward Lightning Lane strategies for WDW? We used disneylanddaily.com for visiting Disneyland but their info doesn't seem as updated or complete for Disney World. I liked it because it basically just had a simple list with optimal strategy.
  18. King Large was in ur mom's portal last night gotem
