  1. He's a sixth-year senior so it's safe to assume he's all business. He's here to get 20 carries, bust his ass on special teams, and get in front of a lot of NFL personnel at pro day. I like the pick up a lot given the current make up of our RB room.
  2. Is Demarvion Overshown a decent comp for Williams? IIRC, he was also a big safety that wasn't super enthused about playing LB at first.
  3. The Landing has all the grades here: https://houstonlanding.org/houston-isd-released-its-projected-accountability-grades-see-how-each-school-scored/ This is good. Improvement is good. Certainly better than the alternative. The caveat of course is that TEA ratings are heavily based on standardized test scores, and Miles's NES system is designed to....improve standardized test scores.
  4. I can't see a world in which Trump wins one of WI/MI/PA but loses at least one of NV/AZ/GA. If he grabs a midwestern state, he's already gotten the sun belt states. NC is fool's gold in my opinion. Not necessary anyway. I wouldn't waste time there if I was the Dems, unless they're just bored or something. What post was the CNN video? I miss a lot of shit in these threads because my work network blocks Twitter embeds.
  5. I've been playing with 270toWin this morning and it seems to me like it all comes down to WI, MI, and PA. If Kamala wins those three, she wins. If Trump wins one (or more) of them, he wins.
  6. Fox News: Tim Walz is racist against bald people. I'M OFFENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Derry Girls is funny shit, made even funnier by the accents and slang. I’m going to start calling my kids wains. Lots of great characters but I think my favorite is the dad.
  8. Dinosaurs would be cool. A camera at a busy water hole about 70 million years ago would really clear up a lot for paleontologists. I've always thought it'd be really interesting to show someone like Thomas Jefferson a working smart phone. No internet of course, but just showing him Angry Birds or whatever would blow his mind. Only downside is he'd start asking you how it works and you'd have to just be like "fuck if I know, Tommy". The inspiration for this thread was reading an article about Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. Thought to be one of the earliest human settlements, but with tons of unknowns. What were the structures used for? Did people make settlements then start farming, or did they start farming and then coalesce into settlements? So, so much that we'll probably never know definitively.
  9. Am I seeing it correctly that I can't buy an official Harris/Walz t-shirt until September? What is the fucking impediment to printing them up right now? Shit, they might as well wait to ship em out until November. That gives us at least a whole day to wear them before the election!
  10. 1) Sure. Invalid requests get a PC LOAD LETTER error and you can try again. But that opens up a loophole that @Prepuce of Doom covers below. 2) I dunno, I guess. I wrote this sitting on my couch, it's not a doctoral thesis. New rule - everyone can bring something back except UT_OB1. He can only look. 3) Tennessee Valley Authority? I don't see a rule violation there. Yep, you could gain a lot of information before you ever go anywhere. Start with crazy hyperspecific stuff and work your way backwards. Out of bounds and uncalled for. I'm going to program your machine to send you to the location of the single stinkiest fart in the history of the human species and you'll just have to bask in it for an hour. Always Yeah I think so. I'm not going to try to contemplate the implications of dual Farrah Fawcetts.
  11. Pretty much. Personally I think my answer would be the future, but not the far future. Say year 4000 or so. Manhattan island. Just out of pure curiosity. A shitload is gonna change in 2000 years. Will humans even be around. Could also grab whatever technology you could see and bring it back to try to reverse engineer.
  12. It can send exactly one person to any time and place in the entire lifespan of our universe. The person will stay at that time and place for exactly one hour and then return home. The machine works one time. A few more rules: Anything you can carry can be taken with you. Camera? Pen and paper? Firearm? Sure. Likewise anything you can pick up and carry can be brought back with you if you like. You are fully physically present on the other end of the trip. You can see, touch, and interact with your surroundings and vice versa while you are there. You speak whatever languages you speak when you enter the time machine. Nevertheless, the time machine will protect you from death or serious physical harm. Conversely, you cannot permanently affect your destination. All physical effects you have and the memory of you will disappear the moment you return home. This isn’t a “kill baby Hitler” thing. Finally, the time machine is omniscient. It has the ability to send you to a specific time and place (e.g. Pasadena, CA January 4, 2006), or to a specific event you describe (e.g. the first time a human being ever made fire, or the first time a human being sets foot an celestial body other than the earth or the moon). Where you going Surly?
  13. How do y'all compare Brooks to Fasusi and Lamont Rogers? I haven't watched Brooks's tape yet.
  14. Never used it, personally. I think it's just a guy that does all the research and crunches the numbers for you and charges a small fee for the trouble. As far as I know, he doesn't have any info that's not on PowerToChoose. Yeah. Just pulled up PowerToChoose and I see a fixed rate 22 month plan from True Power for 7.99 + delivery fees. I just signed for 10.4 + delivery fees back in June, so I'm already keeping an eye on it. The headline rates on PtC include the delivery fees but I don't ever include those when I'm shopping because they're the same for every customer on every plan. I just go by what's on the label.
  15. Texas Power Guide is probably the site you’re thinking about. Prices have eased a little bit lately. If anyone was forced to sign a contract at 10+ cents a few months ago, might be time to look at your cancellation fee
  16. Of course. Tale as old as time. “The job’s not done yet!”
  17. I don’t know much about her and certainly don’t have anything against her, but man she needs to find a race that’s a slam dunk to win and do that for a few years. The current plan of running for every open job and winning none of them is getting a little ridiculous.
  18. Precinct chairs narrowly chose Turner over Amanda Edwards to be their candidate tonight. He says he'll only serve one term. We'll see.
  19. Oh yeah we’re absolutely gonna fuck up LA (and the World Cup for whoever mentioned that). Soulless corporate money grabs is all our sports-industrial complex knows how to do anymore.
  20. I like Rogers tape better than Fasusi’s. I also really fucking hate the trope of “it’s ok to miss on player/position X because we’re going to get player Y next year and he’s way better”.
