  1. Obviously I was rooting for the Cougs but on the bright side Tillman Fertitta can eat a bag of dicks.
  2. Netanyahu just laid out the game plan in the joint Q&A session. Promised to eliminate the trade deficit with the US as quickly as possible. We'll see a bunch (all?) other countries pledge to do the same in short order. Trump gets to take a victory lap for standing up to the rest of the world and eliminating the trade deficit, tariffs are quietly dropped, and in the end nothing much changes. I think this is NAFTA -> USMCA all over again. Facts on the ground never matter, just the narrative.
  3. Thank you for your attention to this matter, lol
  4. My time horizon is 10-15 years and I'm thinking I'll buy. Which means you all should sell and we are nowhere near the bottom.
  5. They look so thrilled. Teenagers are funny.
  6. I haven't looked at the box score but it felt like Houston had about 30 offensive boards
  7. I went to a Brazilian steakhouse last night that had a big selection of XAs so I tried a glass of Tears of Llorona. It was very good, but just so different from drinking a blanco or reposado. It feels like XA was invented so bourbon drinkers have something to order at Mexican restaurants.
  8. Man the Cougs gutted this one the fuck out
  9. This is how you Houston, folks.
  10. Just got back from Vegas. Not news to this thread, but blackjack is over on the strip. It’s all 6/5 unless you want to bet $50+ per hand. Every casino has those terminals where you can play along with a live game but even the one of those I sat down at (NYNY) was 6/5. Saw a bunch of triple zero roulette, too. People gotta stop playing that kind of shit. FWIW, started the week at the M (conference) and they had plenty of 3/2 tables at $10 or $15. I guess the move in Vegas now is to stay on the strip for food/shows/clubs and Uber elsewhere if you want to play table games.
  11. I’m at the M this week for work. Nice place. They had at least 3 $10 3/2 blackjack tables on Saturday night.
  12. I've spent all morning talking with dealers about buying one so I feel pretty well versed at the moment. It came down to the Mach E versus the Hyundai Ioniq 5 for us. My wife didn't care but I liked the Mach E a little more just because I think it looks cooler and I feel more comfortable about starting a 10-year relationship with Ford than I do with Hyundai. They are both really nice vehicles. The Mach E feels like a hell of a lot of car for a 15 year old. Maybe that's true of all EVs though. Ride is a little rougher than the Ioniq 5 but it's not awful. The big strike against the Mach E, and the thing that almost killed it for us, is the controls/infotainment system. It's a giant, vertically-oriented tablet in the middle of the dash and that's it. No physical controls for anything whatsoever. The A/C controls stay on the screen at all times but they're all the way at the bottom so you have to look quite low to use them. And since it's just a touch screen, you do have to look. We ultimately decided that we could live with it because we liked the rest of the car, but to be 100% honest with you I can't see how it won't be distracting as fuck for a teenager/new driver. He's going to be playing with the goddamn tablet instead of driving.
  13. I have no idea how it got to 193. It started at 200 and I never touched it. I just set it back to 200.
  14. I assume it's just a reference to his dad having played at TCU. And the trend matters way more than the absolute position in recruiting. If the reporting has gone from "don't worry about Fasusi, Turntine is ours" to "at least 50/50" in 6 months, it's a major negative indicator. They're setting it up to let the subscribers down softly.
  15. Still need your payment
  16. So the final decision isn't made but we're kind of zeroing in on the Ioniq 5. I'd want an SEL (middle trim), AWD. I live in Houston so AWD is hardly a must but the AWD has significantly more power, which sounds fun. Problem is, there isn't a single new AWD vehicle on a lot in the Houston area, according to Hyundai's website. Maybe not even in Texas. Not one. I checked a random Hyundai dealership in Denver, and that dealer alone has 146 in stock and 23 more on the way.
  17. Schulte. He’s the current next great hope. Just signed an extension with Columbus but you gotta assume he’ll be off to Europe pretty soon. Gaga transferred to Chelsea and has been loaned out ever since. This season he was loaned to a League One side, got benched there after a couple months, subsequently got “injured”, and returned early to Chelsea in January. So it’s going great.
  18. Never looked at a lease contract before. It’s mildly surprising to me if there’s no clause to buy it out early.
  19. Yeah I’ll delete it
  20. How shitty is our pool that two different head coaches now have been all in on Matt Turner, who has toured around to every club in Europe at this point and can't get playing time at any of them? Supposedly a nice guy and all, but god damn, GK used to be a strength for us.
  21. got it, you're good to go. thanks.
  22. Can y'all learn me on leasing? Like leasing 101? I've never leased a car in my life. What I want to do is pay cash and then drive the car into the ground for the next 10 years, which is what we plan to do with this EV. But the dealers are all pushing everyone so hard toward leasing (because of the tax credit I guess?). Can I just lease one, pay the lease for a month, then immediately buy it out? Does it work that way?
  23. I hear you, I just don't feel like stressing about/keeping track of who's done what. Almost everyone is paid up. I'm going to send out another round of emails and PMs. If you don't get one today, you're golden.
