Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Thursday morning reset: RB - Raleek Brown is in. Retained James Simon. Rumors that Clark upped his ask and we are holding firm. Probably need a between-the-tackles guy to pair with Brown, ESPECIALLY if Clark bails. Not many names out publicly. WR - Waiting on Coleman. Supposedly we are not the highest $$ bidder. Most people fading Texas's chances at the moment. Also had contact with Tre Richardson from Vanderbilt. Georgia fans threw a tantrum when we got involved but nothing seems imminent. Smoke has started up regarding Kaliq Lockett and Daylan McCutcheon. TE - Got the Michigan State guy, lost Jordan Washington. No other smoke at this position, hopefully/probably done. OL - Jesus, who the fuck knows? Review the last 40 pages of this thread for more details. Michigan guys are out, Wisconsin guy is out. One $9.95er this morning implied that the guy from NC State might not be a "culture fit". There was a little talk in previous days that we're waiting on a guy still playing for Ole Miss, but...c'mon. I'm not aware of other names or visits right now. DL - Got Geffrard. Visits from Zion Williams from LSU and the Miami guy whose name I can't remember right now, who both seem like good options. DE - Missed out on Woods from Florida. Oklahoma State guy visiting today. LB - Missed out on the Wisconsin dude (did you hear he broke his arm in a game?) to tOSU. Cal guy is visiting. Some smoke that we are trying to retain Barnes. CB - Got Mascoe from Rutgers. Lost Kobe Black. Maybe done? S - Retained Derek Williams.

I don't buy that at all - pure cope by Bobby, IMO. If we're talking a pro athlete getting $15m versus $12m, OK maybe you can make that argument. But $1m to $1.5m is a helluva difference. Many of these dudes are probably thrust into the role of primary breadwinner for their whole family at the age of like 20 years old. Any with a couple braincells will realize that their earning window is short and they're playing a very dangerous sport. If you take a guy that's 20 years old and tell him "we can get you what that other team was offering AND enough extra to pay off your grandma's house as well", that won't matter to him?- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
I'm personally considering this guy right here the stalking horse for our OL class. An FCS stud with good pedigree, good technique, and good stats. The odds that he embarrasses himself at the next level are very low. He was not a risk to return to NDSU. I assume we could have outbid Michigan State without an issue. And we never gave him the time of day. If we do not end up with at least 2, preferably 3 transfer OL takes better than this guy, IMO we as fans have every right to be fucking pissed.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
This fire sale is crazy. Anyone that's not literally a lock to start next year appears to be a flight risk. At this point there are like a dozen guys on the entire roster that it would shock me if they transfer. It's not just us, either - pretty much all of the top programs have a shitload of dudes in the portal. The concept of building depth over time is absolutely dead. Where are all these promising-but-not-guaranteed-to-start guys going to end up? Seems like a few smart middle class teams with money to spend could put together a pretty damn dangerous roster. For one year only of course before it evaporates into thin air again.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
So Jacarrius Peak I guess?- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Sorry dude, baseball season decided to stick with its current program- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
This thread is moving super fast but I sweatergawd that one of our $9.95ers reported on Richardson leaving his Georgia visit and said something like "I don't expect him to end up [at Georgia]" in a matter-of-fact way that I interpreted as meaning that Georgia didn't make him a formal offer or something. Did I dream that up?- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Shit, man, don't scare us like that. I read the first sentence of this "update" and thought it was going to be worth a fuck.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
RB named Turbo is pretty bad ass- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
I read it as pay cut. To me it kind of feels like Muschamp watched some tape and decided that he wasn't a guy we have to have next year. Tip for whenever this happens: just scroll quickly looking for posts with orange borders. You won't miss anything important. Pretty fucked (as is everyone). QBs are the ultimate chaos. The money involved is like 2-3x any other position.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
The Barnes thing has to be someone tampering with him, right? Definitely seems like he was in our plans for next year. Will be really interesting to see where he ends up.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
I'm not saying this just to add negativity, but honestly it kinda seems like maybe we've given up on development at OL? We've run off most of the young guys on the roster (who were 100% Sark/Flood recruits). The most recent HS recruiting class was only 3 guys, one of whom was a last-minute local kid throw in. And they didn't seem to have much sense of urgency about that situation. I'm not as up to speed on 2027 recruiting, but my limited understanding is that we're not exactly rushing out of the gate with that class, either. I could foresee a world in which they're thinking you know what - we got fucked on Stroh, Cruz never developed like we hoped, portal OL other than LTs are relatively inexpensive, let's just do that from now on. It squares with reporting that we want experienced guys from big programs, and talk that Flood doesn't care for HS recruiting. Of course, the giant gaping hole in my theory is that this plan requires us to actually, you know, pursue some portal OL beyond just throwing a Hail Mary at two guys from Michigan and calling it a day when they pass.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
I dunno. They re-signed Lacy and Chambliss is going to try to come back. I could see their boosters feeling scorned right now and being willing to really throw down.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor

The new DC is either going to be the current 3rd assistant safeties coach, whose dad is an old drinking buddy of Jerry's and has just been waiting for his chance OR some dude who's like 78 years old and coordinated some top defenses in the late 90s but has spent the last 15 years fishing at his vacation house- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Clark's like shit I gotta get PAID if I'm gonna be running behind walk-ons- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Number of non-specialist portal commitments as I type Indiana 9 Oklahoma 9 aggy 8 Florida 8 Ole Miss 8 Tech 8 Florida State 6 LSU 6 USC 5 Alabama 3 Clemson 3 Texas 2 Georgia 1 Ohio State 1 Miami 0 Michigan 0 Oregon 0- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Makes sense that Coleman would follow his coach. That seems pretty common with these portal movements. You know, just like Jadan B...- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Bummer. A few people on here (feels like about 80 pages ago) were saying he's a good looking player.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
think putt's more of an OnlyFans guy, tbh- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor

Gonna need a lot of help filling this out, but this is my attempt at a reset on Tuesday afternoon RB - Need 1 or 2. Baugh and Brown from Louisville were thought to be top choices but ended up re-signing with their current teams. Lots of smoke regarding Raleek Brown from ASU, but he's more of a change-of-pace back. Not many names yet regarding a between-the-tackles type to compliment him. WR - Need 1 or 2. Waiting on Cam Coleman (along with aggy and Tech). Tre Richardson from Vanderbilt might be a plan B? TE - Got Masunas from Michigan State. Probably done here. OL - Need 3. Most serious candidates seem like the Michigan duo. Passed on the Wyoming guy and no interest in the NDSU guy. Apparently we're talking to Patrick Kutas from Ole Miss. DL - Need at least 1 NT-type. Got Geffrard from Arkansas. Also talking to Zion Williams from LSU. He's less ready to play than Geffrard and would be more of a developmental piece. Same for Simpson from Miami I think? DE - Not a huge need, but they'd take a guy. Some smoke with Jayden Woods from Florida. Kenny Owozulu from UTSA visited. LB - Need at least 1. Top candidate is Alliegro from Wisconsin. CB - Not sure on need. Mascoe from Rutgers visited. S - Not sure on need. Edwin Joseph from FSU visited. There was some talk of trying to bring Derek Williams back. Not a player for Koi Perich, apparently. Specialists - Already got a K, P, and LS committed. Jeff Banks is hitting the beach.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
I rewatched the Cheez-It Bowl last night and was not impressed with McCutcheon. Lockett had the nice TD but that's it. I don't think that Wingo + Mosley + a bunch of question marks is a championship-level WR room.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
Not to mention the centerpiece of our high school OL class this year is a dude who is like 260 lbs. - Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Stop Being Poor
