Annual Russell Gaskamp Award Nomination & Discussion Thread
Davis does a bunch of stuff for our offense that doesn't show up in the box score, most of it pretty nasty work. Given his perseverance and all he's been through to get to this point, I think he's a worthy winner.

I kinda love the idea that the architect couldn’t be bothered to rotate the plans for the stadium 90 degrees, because fuck it, he got his money so who cares? It’s a perfect microcosm for the Cowboys as an organization.

Exactly. There’s no hope in tearing it down to the ground because we’re stuck with the front office that just traded a meaningful pick for the worst team in the league’s 4th string WR.

Damn watching him walk off like that was rough. No joking around, he didn’t look like he had any idea what planet he was on.

What do y’all make of Georgia beating our ass?
I didn’t watch a ton of their game today but they’ve seemed very unimpressive at times this season. Yet they took us to the wood shed in DKR. I can’t make heads or tails of it. Hard to say it was just an off night for us because the main problem in that game was their front 7 dominating our offense. It sure looked like a talent mismatch at the time, not the ball not bouncing our way. Would/should we be favored in a hypothetical rematch with them?

Colorado @ Tech Fox
Yeah these are some of the worst shadows I’ve ever seen in a game. Doesn’t help that Tech’s uniforms are approximately shadow colored.

Someone named Pete Prisco at CBS Sports. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/priscos-nfl-draft-2023-grades-for-all-32-teams-cowboys-eagles-among-as-chiefs-49ers-receive-poor-marks/- Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again
lol I just Googled 2023 post-draft grades to see what people were saying at the time and found this gem: nailed it!- San Antonio
Yeah. Good location but the room was meh. Lots of elevator noise too.- Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again
Cowboys 2023 draft is really turning out to be one for the ages 1st round: total bust 2nd round: total bust 3rd round: injured entire first year, but promising in year 2 4th round: not in the NFL anymore 5th round: depth guy 6th round #1: cut after year 1 never having played a single snap for the Cowboys. On another team's practice squad now. 6th round #2: still on the roster but not really a useful NFL player 7th round: 13 career receptions. Cowboys just traded for a guy to take his spot on the depth chart. So one useful player, two high profile busts, and a couple practice squad/fringe roster types. - Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again
